Not really. Country rock is like one major music genre we have here, albeit underground music. Urban & Flatts helped, but not just because of them. We have a lot of Talyor Swift & Miley Cyrus on the radio.

Country music is fairly big in Ireland, especially in the countryside strangly enough 
Its very big in Northern Ireland - as far as I recall- Van Morrison is N.Irish and Neil Diamond could be practically Irish the amount of times he is badly covered at parties and weddings. I don't know if we have any names for people who listen to country music- though we do call anyone from the countryside a "culche"- a term which covers a love of contry music, talking in an undesipherable accent, and wearing jeans and a gaelic top to every single occasion
