Do Champions get to keep their titles?

I know in TNA that they use the same belt for every champion because they just replaced the World Title not too long ago because it was losing buttons and had a dent in it.

But what about in the WWE? It seems like every time there is a new champion the belt looks new (shinier, no buttons missing, etc), do the old champions get to keep their belt they carried around as a champion? This is something I've always wondered

No, they use the same belt. Wrestlers may get replica titles, but they won't get the exact one they had whilst they were champ.

TNA changed the belt because they finally replaced the NWA World Title, having left the NWA a few months previously.

Yes all you guys are correct. WWE use the same belt and the champion gets a replica to keep. The wrestler carries the real one with them whilst they are champion, so they are totally responsible for it. However (i'm not completly sure if this still stands) but vince used to make them pay a deposit, and i believe it was about 100,000 dollars whilst they were in charge of the belt, incase they lost it, Like i say not sure if he still makes them pay the deposit, but knowing Vinny Mac he probably still makes them.
