Downloadable contents. What's every ones opinion on Downloadable content. Do you worry about them or are they just an annoying thing to make more money. Look at Wrestling games for instance. All they release are other wrestlers they could of just put into the game in the first place and you can pay to unlock everything without trying. What's the point in buying the game and then paying to unlock everything when you can do it for free. It makes sense with wrestlers who debuted after the game finished, but this year, HBK, Michael cole, Jerry the king lawler ect, they release them as DLC just to make extra profit.

I'm not a fan of DLC, The only two I have ever brought was a Saints row the second pack becaue I finished the game and wanted a little bit extra, but $25 dollars just for that when that's all the actual game cost was way to much. I wouldn't of brought that if I hadn't of recieved MS points for christmas. The other DLC pack I brought was for SVR11 and I don't even know what possessed me to do that. They should just focus on the main storyline instead of add ons. Or at the very least not make the games so expensive in the first place.

I may be wrong, but the only other DLC pack I can see myself ever getting is the proffesser Jenki superbowl pack for saints row the third. but that's only because I'm interested in it and my partner is as well, so it will actually get used more then once.

I will not download any additional content if there is a price tag attached. I believe that once you pay for the game, you should own that game, in it's entirety. If the makers of that game want to release additional packages for that game before releasing the next year's version, that should be already configured into the price of the game, not an additional cost. The DLC is not like an expansion pack, where it completely changes the game somehow, it's more like a patch to just give you a little bit more functionality. Patches for PC games are free.

THIS.

I never bother with downloadable content. First of all, I refuse to pay for a download. Flat out refuse. If I have to pay for something, I'd want a hard copy to be able to physically hold or put in a safe place. Secondly, downloadable content is often just extra optional quests/characters that you do not need in order to fully enjoy the game. I understand why it's around as an option. Making part of a game exclusively available by downloadable content, it makes fans more likely to give more money to the developers. I personally want to pay for the game in its entirety when I purchase it. This is why I never bother with expansion packs or downloadable content in just about any game. Sometimes I'll purchase special editions of games that include the original content alongside all of the expansions and downloadable content. That's how the game should have been released in the first place, but then again I am oldschool with my gaming.

I’m a huge fan of downloadable content. I, for the most part, will buy all the game add-ons for any game I buy.

I don’t have SmackDown vs. Raw 2009. I just rented it to import the SvR 09 roster into my Legends Of WrestleMania game. I made the mistake of buying the Roster Updates for WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2009, thinking I could use Evan Bourne, Ted DiBiase, Super Crazy, Charlie Haas, Vader, Doink the Clown, Earthquake and the Bushwackers in Legends Of WrestleMania. That didn’t work out too well, but I can for some reason use Chris Jericho alternate attire. Anyone know anything about this??

Anyway, I’m all for extra stuff, and considering the price is usually no more than the change I have sitting in my car, I’m willing to spend a few coins for them.

I have mixed feelings on it. I don't dislike it as much as online passes, but I'm still not a huge fan of it. My biggest problem with it is that in many cases they already have the DLC done by the time the game is done, so why not just include it with the damn game? Of course, I don't know anything about publishing games, so maybe it is just a case of them missing release dates. Although I doubt it. The worst example of this was with Gears of War 3. Apparently for one of the DLC packs, they already had the content on the disc. Buying the DLC through X-Box live just unlocked it. If that isn't shameless money grabbing than I don't know what is.

Personally, I will only buy DLC if I really like the game. Looking past the whole "money grab" thing, I look at it as extra content. Something that if you really love playing this game than here is more of it. It doesn't take away from the core experience of the game and your not missing anything by not playing it. It just adds for those that really want more. I'll use Batman: Arkham City as an example. It is the only game that I have ever bought all the DLC for. If someone wanted to play the game as a casual fan, than there is no reason to want the extra content. However, if your a huge Batman fan like myself, than you will want the extra Batman skins and the ability to play as Robin and Nightwing.

Sure, you would think that paying the full price for the game would give you everything it has to offer, but nothing in life is free. You want more, you pay more. Besides, a lot of the bigger games get re-released as a special edition or game of the year edition and it comes with all the DLC.

It pisses me the fuck off. Right now I have Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. Jill, Shuma Gorath, Megaman X and Cyber Akuma are available for the game via DLC. But I cannot get it. BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE WIRELESS INTERNET. They are inaccessible to me. These aspects of the game which expand it are not available to me because Capcom wants to make more money off me and wanna use something surprisingly enough, is not available to everyone. To make it more of a headscratcher, the 2 new characters were already downloadable for the original MVC3. Instead of adding them to the roster like the other 12 guys that were added, I still have to download them and I still don't have the means to do that. Thank you, modern age technology and communications. I have been cut off my games full content because of it.

I'm not a fan at all of DLC! I sometimes found me buying them, but I think is ridiculous.. If I buy a game I want in the enterity, I spend money in it not to spend more money. Why don't include HBK, Batista, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler in the damn game at the start!? Because they want more fuckin' money! I understand with ''debutants'' and all the stuff, but a Legends DLC? I mean, seriously? I found it terrible.

CO SIGN however I never really had experience with DLC until I brought BF3 and it took what damn near 2 months for the karkland maps to come out and it pissed me off and I hate typing in sh** in a PS3 keyboard...
