There are some very interesting entries in there such as the mashups personally mixed by artists including the late DJ AM. Some of the tracks also break the mashup mold with the two Daft Punk Megamixes and the "beat juggle" tracks for "Poison" and "Rockit". Ten of the songs also have the "DJ-Guitar mix" moniker on them, most likely to confirm the tracks that are compatible with a guitar controller.

DJ Hero will ship on October 27th for the Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 2.

WOW! that is an incredible music list, And some of the songs have 2 or 3 different mixes. The list itself is VERY varied play list clashing together rock, Dance, Pop, Punk, R&B, And hip hop.

This game looks alot more interesting than it's instrumental counters if im honest, And it definitly freshens up the music genre gaming wise.

I'll probably give it a look, But I always get bored with these types of games as soon as i've played the songs through a couple of times.

Absolutely rubbish.

I throughly expected a wide variety of dance music, instead we just get RnB, hip hop and rock mashups. They should have capitolised on the big dance scene at the moment putting tracks in there from David Guetta, Kid Kuchi Cascada, Manian and all the other dance acts out there at the moment. I may give it a try but probably wont like it. Why didnt they just make Hip Hop Hero instead?

Hmm, maybe because they were trying to make the game more mainstream, I have no idea.

I think that it is really great play list. So expansive and varied that I am actually considering getting this game. I looked at it before and told myself "no way!" No though, I kind of like the look of it and I am considering giving it a go. I honestly wouldn't have given it as much time or attention if it was all dance music. I love Dance music as much as the next guy. In fact, the three albums I listen to the most right now are by David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Dizzee Rascal so I do like dance music. The problem with all dance music is that ti would get very boring very quickly and I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much. This play list is good and I don't think I will encounter the same problem.

...is the best music game I've ever played. By far. Better than all the GH games, better than the Rock Band games (including the phenomenal Beatles version)... better than a naked back rub from Megan Fox.

Ok, not that last one, but you get the point. The soundtrack is top fucking notch. I was afraid I wouldn't like it because there's a lot of rap and I'm not a fan, but even the mixes with rap tracks are fun. Not only that, but the track list is HUGE. 93 mixes. I've been playing for 2 days straight and only just finished the last track, and I could see myself going through those 93 without getting bored with them many more times.

And even when those do get old, new tracks are already on the way two days after release via DLC. Now granted, the DLC tracks for DJ Hero are going to be more expensive than they have been in the past for other music games because you're talking about licensing TWO songs on top of the extra work mixing them as well as charting them for the game, but I'd say it's worth it.

There's really not enough good things I can say about this game to do it justice. It's just THAT good. My only complaint is that my right arm is fucking killing me. That's what I get for playing so much.

So I've seen this game "in action", and was not impressed at all. However, my son (who is 6) absolutely loves it. He's gotten pretty good at it, and thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

He has fun playing it, and it's fairly simple to pick up. I guess for some consumers, that's fine, but I'd probably want a game with better graphics and less-stupid gameplay.
