Did WWE get themselves in a pickle trying to turn Rollins?

For the past few months it's been rumored Rollins will turn face. It's been rumored we would see a HHH vs Rollins feud. I believe these are true and we are seeing the foundations of this but it doesn't make sense. since WM31 Rollins has been on a roll of holding the title. However he has done it with the help of the authority and Jon Stewart, and even Undertaker. He hasn't proven a thing to me. It seems like WWE is just making him more cocky that he's the best and that he has done it all on his own keeping the title. How will he quickly turn face. Also HHH has seemed more face lately than Rollins.

Personally I would like to see it opposite and have HHH as the face and Rollins as the heel with Stephenie McMahon staying the heel so we can see a double feud but that's only a dream.

So how do we turn Rollins face? Sheamus doesn't seem that likely. I don't want it to be Sheamus cause I feel it'll be Rollins vs Sheamus trying to get HHHs attention. Either way Rollins hasn't last that cockyness. So how?

I know people are gonna hate this but it has to be with Sting winning tonight. Allow Sting to be given that title even if it's only for thirty seconds. Rollins really has nothing to lose if he loses tonight to Sting. After the match have HHH flat out attack and humiliate Rollins. Make HHH the monster and beat down Rollins because Rollins is an embarrassment to the authority for losing to Sting. Let Sting make the save, make it look like we have showdown number two with Sting and HHH but go off the air with Rollins and Sting teaming together. Basically I think for Rollins to get out of this pickle is HHH needs to make it feel as Rollins has hit rock bottom.

Turning HHH makes infinitely more sense than turning Rollins at this point. Rollins is the only WWEWHC level heel in the entire company that's full time. Turning him before there are other heels running full time at the top is just a silly thing to do.

Idk if the WWE has been trying to turn Rollins face or if the fans have just decided to cheer him. This tends to happen when you pit a talented heel against John Cena. I, for one, have gone from despising Rollins to respecting him. Especially over the last couple months

I'll also go with the Rollins being a face against triple h. Sometimes, the obvious answer is simply that, the answer. Face Hunter only appealed to me during the DX days. Heel Trips is one of the best to ever do it

Why? Because it only makes sense. Like Lesnar's over two year, going on three, reign of undefeated clean dominance, you have to keep the heel Rollins thing going.

One annoying part of The Authority is that they are never clear heels or faces but just bounce depending on situation. They are suppose to be heels but book heels on handicap matches or in this case their Champion in two matches in one night, they are faces but remove face people from building not to interfere heels etc. So its just their annoying thing that they do every single week.

As far as Rollins as face, he is gona be great face when Authority screws him up and Sheamus cashes in. Wheather its tonight or some other time.

I see that it will be a little bit more difficult in changing him but here we go. Seth defeats Sting in a tough match, a tired Seth celebrates and wonders why HHH and Stephanie are not out there yet. Than here comes HHH with Big Show and Kane they attack Seth and beat him badly, out comes Sheamus he cashes in and wins. A beaten Seth looks up to see HHH celebrating with Sheamus, Kane and Big Show. It can all start from there and continue on Raw Tomorrow night when HHH puts Seth in a Handicap match against Kane and Big Show. There has got to be a reason or a way to get the fans to pull for Seth and that is the question here how to do that.

They HAD to book Seth in two matches. It's Night of Champions. The whole point was that the Authority thought they were so smart but Cena caught them on a technicality. The face finally got one over on the heels. Cena has his rematch clause which allows him to invoke it when he wishes. I know it's wrestling and there are ways around everything but this plays into the story really well. If Seth retains both titles tonight that makes him look credible. If he loses both titles tonight what happens on RAW? Does the Authority turn on him? What if he retains one and loses one? What if he loses the US title and retains the World title but Sheamus cashes in on him. He would obviously complain to the Authority on RAW about that. And if they don't help him out in that case then what?

So many scenarios could play out here.

The Authority does what's best for business. That allows them to play the tweener role.

Depending on how tonight plays out we will get to see who the lesser of two evils is. Hunter or Rollins.

Or they will still be united after tonight and there will be another chapter in the story.

They could always do something else and book it differently. But yes, it plays nicely on the situation.

More I think about it more I am sure that Rollins retains, starts bragging how he is better then HHH and HHH screws him ala "Orton in Evolution". Guess we will have to see in few hours how it goes.

I can't see Rollins turning anytime soon. I think he can run for a while with the cowardly heel role, even when he loses the title, they can show him chasing the title.

I would say yes. wwe seems to think you can turn people anytime you want and it is no big deal but sometimes it is a bad idea. With Rollins, they have build him up for a while now and there are other faces be could work with so why flip him? wwe likes to think working with HHH is a big deal but since he doesn't wrestle on a regular basis, it isn't. Remember back in the Attitude Era when they would put someone in a match with Slaughter and it was supposed to be a big deal? Yeah they were facing a former champ but hasn't been for a while so he isn't really a threat. HHH is that role now except he doesn't lose which ties into another issue - what does Rollins gain? I don't trust wwe to have Rollins feel the wrath of HHH, get the odds stacked against him week after week and come out stronger 6-12 months later like they did with Austin. It seems like a storyline where no one really wins and in few months is forgotten about much like HHH and Lesnar.
