Deceased Wrestlers

Occasional Pre-Show
I dont believe I have seen any threads on this topic, if there have been I appologize...

With the crazy ammount of wrestlers passing away for whatever reasons the last few years it got me to thinking...

If you could play God and bring back any 1 wrestler who prematurly past on, who would you bring back and why???

Unfortunatly there are so many choices out there, more choices then we need to have...

In the last 10-15 years or so we have lost names like Owen Hart, Brian Pillman, Davey Boy Smith, Crush, Road Warrior Hawk, Crash Holly, Eddie Guerrero, Curt Henning, Rick Rude, Chris Benoit, Lance Cade, Luna Vachon, Chris Candido, Umaga, Mike Awsome & from there there the list goes on and on....

So as I said the topic for this thread is who would you bring back...

I would love to choose Owen Hart because he was on the verge of becoming huge when his accedent took his life... I often wonder where his career would have taken him... I would also like to chhose Road Warrior Hawk because it was the Road Warriors in 1984 that made me a wrestling fan and to this day it is still the most painful wrestling death for me personally as a fan....

However as my thread suggest I can only choose 1... I would actually choose Chris Benoit, my reasons is because if I could play God and bring him back then I am sure I would know what made him snap and end not only his own life, but the lives of 2 other people as well... I am still a big Chris Benoit fan as a wrestler and it would be wonderful to alter his personal history so his legend wouldnt be tarnished any longer

Eddie Guerrero.

He was hella over, showed no signs of slowing down, was selling merchandise like a man possessed, and if we had him now then maybe we would have been spared the irritable shreiking of his wife Vickie.

(No diss to Vickie, she's an awesome heel)

But with Guerrero around we could have had many more memorable matches. How about CM Punk trying to save the already religious Guerrero? Or the Latino Legend sneaking in a win against the already sneaky Orton? Truth is, Eddie was still on top of the wrestling world unlike many names already mentioned. With him WWE wouldn't've had to skip a beat with pushing disposable guys like Bobby Lashley to fill in his spot. And his memory wouldn't've had to be tainted with the Wrestlemania shitfest that was the Vickie Hog Splash or Rey Mysterio (an incredible talent) going up against Orton and Angle and dedicated every-other-match of EG.

Eddie Guerrero still had the heat, and could have been the next Shawn Michaels or Undertaker in WWE today.

Hawk. For the reason that the LOD got the loudest pop of any Tag Team. They were hugely under used by the WWF back then, and would add a much needed boost to the Tag Team division today. The reaction those guys got when the music started could rival that of some of the main eventers today. Everyone young, and old loved them.

I'd honestly like to bring them all back as each wrestler's premature death is a tragedy.

But to stick with the format I'd bring back the Loose Cannon Brian Pillman. Pillman was so good on so many levels. So much natural charisma and attitude. His persona would have gotten him far in the attitude era. His in-ring ability was top notch, his style reflected his personality. He was a high-flyer who took risks yet could brawl with the best and was a decent technician. I truly believe he would have gotten pretty big had he not passed away.

Lets not forget when he was signed by the WWF he was the hottest free agent on the market, every company wanted him and for good reason. If he could have sobered up and lived to this day the sky was truly the limit for his career. His feud with Austin when Austin went to his house and he took out a gun was pretty entertaining. At the time of his death he was a member of the Hart Foundation and was having a great feud with Goldust over Terri Runnels. I just think he would have been huge had he lived on.

But I guess his death reflects his persona and life style. If only it was only a persona and not how he actually lived his life, the Loose Cannon would have had a great career. A great entertainer and wrestler lost at the beginning of his prime.

I would go for Owen Hart

By all accounts Owen was a phenomenal guy, one of the nicest guys in the business and a true family man. The appalling way in which he died was another tragedy the Hart family had to go through, and was so easily avoidable. It was so sad.

Owen's death was not through self-inflicted damage through steroids and pain pills, or drug abuse, it was a stupid, unneccesary stunt gone wrong, which led to a completely innocent man dying.

Not to mention the fact that Owen Hart was a great wrestler, who still hadnt reached his peak in my eyes. He could still be on WWE today, and may have emulated his brother Bret and been a multi-time heavyweight champion. It would be great to have seen Owen and Bret embrace in the ring after Bret's return to the company this year, and having Owen around would have helped the Hart Dynasty as he could have passed on his experience to the next generation of Harts.

I miss Owen to this day

I'm going to say Owen Hart, one of the main reasons I'm picking Owen Hart is because it wasn't his fault that he died or in other words he wasn't taking drugs. I don't mean to be disrespecful to the wrestlers that deaths were related to drugs but Owen's death was just a freak accident and wasn't his fault. He was such a great wrestler and had all of the potential to reach the top but he never got there.

Another person would have to be Chris Benoit, what he did in his last couple of hours will always overshadow everyhing that he did inside the ring. I know what he did was terrible but he still was a great wrestler, so I would bring him back just so people can look at him as the brilliant wrestler that he was and because I am God I will be able to see what made him crack so I can stop that happening and he doesn't do what he did.

I would bring back Gorilla Monsoon, not as a wrestler, but an announcer. He was one of the best ever, especially working with Bobby "the brain" Heenan. There are really so many good guys that would be worth bringing back that it is really hard to pick just one. Some that I would have on my list: Ravishing Ric Rude, Chris Benoit, The Missing Link, Eddie Guerreo and a lot more I can't think of now. The worst thing is that so may go so young.

No-brainer! Brian Pillman! It's a shame he wasn't allowed to give more to wrestling. He was the king of worked shooting and had an unique thing going for him with his Loose Cannon persona. It's tragic that he died, because he was ahead of his time. Brian was the Attitude Era, way before the Attitude era began. It's sad that we didn't get to see him in '98 or '99 when he could have been set loose and become big.

Eddie Guererro

This guy was on top of his game, and was extremely over, not only with the crowd, but backstage aswell.this guy was no doubt a legend even before his passing and it was the worst thing to happen to wrestling when he died. No one could compare to the total package that was Eddie Guererro. Eddie had a heart for others and a passion for what he did in the ring. This guy was more than just a wrestler, but he was an amazing person (from what I've heard) and that's more than you can say about some of the others that have passed. Eddie no doubt.

im a bit torn up between eddie guerrero and owen hart.if any of those wrestlers didnt deserve to die its owen.i dont care if he would have been big or not.he could have ended up a jobber for the heck of it.he would have still done it with a smile on his face.but at least he would have still been living with his wife and kids.his kids wouldnt have to grow up without a dad

but the thing is i probably think guerrero was a bit more talented than owen.especially on the mic.guerrero was the last non bland babyface in the wwe if you leave aside hbk and taker.he would have had great feuds with guys like punk and a heel orton and perhaps even ended up as the face of this era.

Test

Test was an awesome wrestler and always put on good matches. He was severly underused in his first stint in WWE. When he was in ECW he should've won the ECW title from Lashley. He was always good on the mic and during the UnAmericans angle he would've been able to propel inton the main event but the gimmick was prematurely ended for him when he was paired with Stacy Keiblur. Test was my favourite wrestler and i felt he could've been used better.

Okay...some people may criticize me for my choice..but here goes. I'd choose to bring back Chris Benoit. Now please...here me out. This would be on talent alone, and if none of the tragedies in his personal life happened. I agree the way his final days played out was horrendous and do not wish that on anyone. That being said, however, I am still in AWE to this very day of every match that man did. I met him once at a house show in KS, dude was hella cool, and the kindest person. I know they say appearances can be deceiving, but, his match at WM20, when he won the championship belt and celebrated with EG, was heartwarming. I remember when it was the No Mercy 2006 PPV, and Regal was having a horrendous night, and Teddy Long made him do a match, and he didn't know who his opponent would be, then you hear the familiar chords of "Whatever" and the audience and JBL went insane with respect. Seeing him come out and make short business of Lord Regal was amazing!! I always loved his song and still do when I hear it on my Forceable Entry cd. I love the crippler crossface on my SD vs RAW characters....I miss the energy.
