Dashing DiBiase vs. Mr Money in the Bank

At the upcoming Money in the Bank PPV I'm looking for one man to win the SmackDown ladder match, Cody Rhodes

On SmackDown we've seen DiBiase and Rhodes reform an alliance but have mainly been unsuccessful, especially DiBiase. Rhodes has promised to repackage Ted and make him relevant again but all he is is what Alex Riley was to The Miz, taking all the losses.

We've seen the response Alex Riley has gotten since he began feuding with The Miz so isn't this the perfect time to create another top face that SmackDown desperately needs.

In the build up to MITB Rhodes can continously tell DiBiase what a failure he is and in the ladder match itself, Cody can cost Ted the breifcase. The Smackdown after MITB Cody brags about how he won Money in the Bank and berates Ted once again forcing him to finally snap.

Ted's gimmick of the fortunate son makes it hard for him to be a face while he is seen as superior to everyone else. Have him proclaim himself more dashing than Cody ever was and have him as the cocky face, leading to a match between the two of them at SummerSlam with 'Dashing' Dibiase coming out on top of SmackDown's Mr MITB.

Following SummerSlam this could lead to Orton & DiBiase vs Christian & Rhodes feud with the history of Legacy between them and the possibility of Rhodes cashing in on the champion, whether it be Orton or Christian.

So what's the question exactly?

As for your scenario, I feel it is too soon to suddenly turn DiBiase face. Post-Legacy he has been the poorest of the trio and hasn't regathered any momentum. That needs to happen first before any progress can be made otherwise it's a turn without much build or merit.

You brought up the comparison with Miz and Riley but remember that they were together for a lot longer and at a time when Miz was champion and needed help to keep the belt. Cody's giving out masks. Not quite the same dynamic because when Riley was assisting there was something at stake and us the audience knew Miz was keeping the belt thanks to the Riley factor.

It's inevitable that somewhere down the line the two will have another feud, but it shouldn't be anytime soon until there is something that will be the cause of the division, hopefully a title. Not a bad idea, but too soon to be as impactful as it could be.

Really Dibiase shouldn't turn face at all and should break into a singles wrestler again but this time getting air time. He has great talent and is a good to desent heel but him and Rhodes dont mix any more. With all new gimmicks and spot in the company this dosent work out. Now with a Orton fued i dont believe it would work with all three so maybe just a one on one fued would be better. Rhodes needs to win MINTB to get him into the main event picture.
