Daniel Bryan's "Release" - The Spam Version

Including but not limited to ruining the Invasion that could write itself, allowing ECW to promote on his show when they were dying and he was on top of the world, and booking a midget leprechaun as a champion.

WWEJCena:I am very upset to hear about the release of bryan danielson. Social networks were formed so people would have a voice, and an opinon. I know you all have your own, theories and whatnot.

I respect that. I have never asked any of you to feel a certaint way about me. But Bryan left a lasting impression on the wwe universe in a very short time, and although it came at my expense, I agree with the majority of you who are caught off guard by this choice.

I know I'm not exactly appreciated by all, nor do I care to be, but I believe what I believe. I would like bryan to come back to the wwe.

I would like to sign your petition to bring him back. I was taught to stand up for what I beileve in. I tried and failed, so I could use some help. Tell me how to sign and I will. If for nothing else, to at least have a chance to have a match with him after what was done.

Know that seems a bit more fair. Give me a chance to have a fair match with him, and give him yet another chance to prove that he does belong with us. Sorry for the long message, I know I am probally way out of line, I am sorry if I have offended anyone. But like me or not that is what Hustle. Loyalty. And most importantly Respect means to me. Enjoy game 5.

For those going on about how Danielson taking independent bookings means this is legit, I have two words:

Brian Pillman.

Eric Bischoff and Brian Pillman tried something similar to this back in the late 90's to sell Pillman's "Loose Cannon" gimmick. He was "fired" from WCW and was allowed to go to ECW and act like a psycho. Of course, due to some confusion, he really was fired, but the point still stands. The 90-day no-compete clause is for TV appearances. Danielson could still show up for independent shows, so long as they weren't on TV. Besides, all that's been said is that he's taking bookings. No one's said that he's been booked to a show or is going to attend. It could be false to play along with the work.

As for Cena's Twitter post, there are two possibilities:

1.) He was fooled with the rest of the locker room and is being serious. Cena is a nice guy and I'm sure he would like to see Danielson back if he believed this was real.

2.) He's in on it and is just playing to his character. Come on, he's the face of the company and is McMahon's top guy. It stands to reason that he could find out about it.

Egomania =/= insanity. Vince's ego made him decide to make the invading WCW wrestlers end up looking inferior to WWE's. Not to mention most of the top WCW guys weren't involved, which also contributed to the flopping. But then this happened at a time I wasn't too attentive to wrestling.

allowing ECW to promote on his show when they were and he was on top of the world,

How is that crazy? Bad buisness, perhaps but not insanity.

and booking a midget leprechaun as a champion.

Hornswoggle was a mean to an end. Vince was killing the cruiserweight division, and he gave it to Hornswoggle (who IIRC was over, even then) to play with in backstage skits before finally injecting an ampule of KCL and killing it. Once again, not craziness just dragging something through the dirt before killing it.

I refer again to him being the most successful person that the wrestling buisness has ever produced. Crazy people don't make good gamblers or buisnessmen. Vince is undeniably a good buisnessman. One who makes blunders, but a good buisnessman none the less.

I'm taking the view that Cena pretty much makes this 'proven beyond all reasonable doubt'.

John fucking Cena has signed the petition to bring him back. Either he's gone, VKM is working the entire WWE staff including the people in the angle, or he's in on it. Occam's Razor KB. Game's over, this shit is legit.

Yeah, it is. They'll spend countless hours editing things out of videos of people who leave on good terms and Cena says something on his official twitter? Yeah that's fine.

Twitter is an external site. WWE has not power over what the superstars say over it. Cena has a precident for speaking about releases. I linked to his tweet about Carlito;s release, for example.

I'm with KB on this one, out of anyone to say anything it was JOHN CENA?! That's 57K people straight off
