Pre-Show Stalwart
Roll normal TNR opening montage, then cut to interior shot of Conseco Fieldhouse as a pyrotechnic show is set off to the strains of "My Way Or The Highway".

FADE TO: Joey Styles and Jesse "The Body" Ventura sitting at their ringside broadcast table.

Styles: Last Thursday night history was made as we crowned a new CWI United States champion...could we see the women's or world titles change hands this week? Hello, everyone, I'm Joey Styles at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis along with my broadcast partner Jesse "The Body" Ventura, and tonight we've got two blockbuster title matches on our plate!

Ventura: That we do...but first, let's send you down to the ring for our opening bout, D-Von Dudley vs. Ax of Demolition!

CUT TO: Dave Penzer standing in the center of the ring.

Penzer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! (The Dudley Boys' old WWE entrance theme starts blasting from the Conseco Fieldhouse PA) Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Bubba Ray Dudley...from New Rochelle, New York and weighing in at 242 pounds, D-Von Dudley!

Ventura(off-camera): Lot of bad blood between the Demos and the Dudley Boys since the Dudleys lost the CWI tag team titles two weeks ago...

Penzer(as music switches to Rick Derringer's "Demolition"): And his opponent, accompanied to the ring by Smash...from parts unknown and weighing in at 287 pounds, Ax!

Ax and D-Von aren't saying much of anything, but Smash and Bubba Ray are trading harsh words in the center of the ring...

Ventura(as camera pans to referee Nick Patrick instructing Smash and Bubby Ray to get out of the ring): How'd you like to be in Nick Patrick's shoes right now? Trying to officiate a bout between these two guys is like trying to herd cats...

Styles(off-camera): More like rabid badgers, Jess...And D-Von starts the match off with a forearm to Ax's chest! The three-time former WWE tag team champion reeling under the impact of D-Von's blows!

Ventura(as camera cuts to Smash yelling instructions from Ax's corner): Smash trying to help his partner shake off the cobwebs....

Styles(off-camera): D-Von with the Irish whip on Ax-- and Ax catches D-Von with a flying clothesline! Looks he managed to get rid of those cobwebs pretty quick, Jess!

Ventura(admiringly as camera shows Ax hitting D-Von with back-to-back elbow drops): I'll say!

Styles(off-camera): Ax with an atomic drop on D-Von, and now Bubba Ray Dudley complaining to Nick Patrick about a possible hair pull...

Ventura(off-camera, contemptuously): What hair?

Styles(off-camera): Ax with the power slam...and there's the cover! 1--2--and D-Von kicks out! D-Von Dudley back on the attack now, pounding the Demolition member with a series of roundhouse rights! DDT by the Dudley Brother--1...2...and Ax gets his foot on the rope at the last second!

Ventura(off-camera): Ax is a hard guy to take down! Just when you think you've got 'im licked, he comes back with a second wind...

Styles(off-camera): Ax whips D-Von into a neutral corner and then follows up with an avalanche...D-Von down on the canvas!

Ventura(off-camera): Now's the time for Ax to finish him off!

Styles(off-camera):Ax climbing up to the top turnbuckle--OH MY GOD! Bubba Ray just shoved him off onto the arena floor! Bubba Ray and Spike in a 2-on-1 assault against Ax...now Smash coming to his tag partner's aid, decking Spike with a left hook to the jaw!

Ventura(off-camera): Ref's count is up to five...if Ax can't get back in that ring, this match is over!

Styles(off-camera): Count is now up to six...seven...eight...nine....and Ax somehow manages to get back in the ring before ten! Folks, we have to go to a commercial break right now, but when we come back we'll have more of this one-on-one showdown between Ax and D-Von Dudley!

Fade to commercial.

As we return from commercial break, we see Ax clamping a headlock on D-Von Dudley. Smash, Bubba Ray, and Spike Dudley are all gone having been ejected from ringside by the referee during the break.

Styles(off-camera): We're back to the action now, and during the commercial break Nick Patrick sent Smash, Bubba Ray, and Spike to showers....Snap suplex on D-Von!

Ventura(off-camera): I don't know about you, Styles, but personally I think Patrick overreacted...

Styles(off-camera): Have to disagree with you on that one, Jess...dropkick by Ax! The Demolition brawler definitely taking control of this match!

Ventura(off-camera): But for how long, Joey? That's the $64,000 question...

Styles(off-camera): Maybe long enough to--DDT! DDT FROM OUT OF NOWHERE BY D-VON DUDLEY! THE COVER--1...2...and Ax kicks out!

Ventura(off-camera): At this rate, these guys could be here all night...

Styles(off-camera): Maybe so...D-Von with the Irish whip on Ax...Ax with the flying clothesline! He's headed up to the top rope....

Ventura(off-camera): If he connects with this, the match is over!

Styles(off-camera): Elbow smash off the top rope! The cover--1...2...3! And this round goes to the Demos!

Penzer(as camera zooms in on a somewhat dazed D-Von stumbling out of the ring): Your winner by pinfall, Ax!

Styles(off-camera): Coming up shortly, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin takes on the original Nature Boy, Buddy Rogers....but first we go to Michael Cole, who's standing by live with Jim Cornette.

CUT TO: Michael Cole and Jim Cornette standing outside the Indiana Pacers' locker room in Conseco Fieldhouse.

Cole: Jim, how do you feel about being designated as the special guest referee for tonight's scheduled tag match between MNM and the Rock & Roll Express?

Cornette(looking like he's going to start foaming at the mouth any second): I hate it, Cole, I absolutely (bleep)in' hate it! The last thing in the world I want is to be around either MNM or the Rock & Rolls, and now I'm gonna be stuck in the ring with BOTH of 'em at the same time!(Points at the camera) Commissioner Thesz, I hope to God you're watchin' right now, 'cause I want to tell you that I'm going to sue your (bleep) for breach of contract! You won't have a red cent left by the time I'm done with you!

Cole(off-camera): An obviously agitated Jim Cornette venting his frustrations about his role in the tag match....now let's send you back to ringside!

CUT TO: Anthony Chimel standing in the center of the ring.

Chimel(as "The Battle" from the Gladiator soundtrack blares over the Conseco Fieldhouse PA): The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Camden, New Jersey and weighing in at 232 pounds, the Original Nature Boy, Buddy Rogers!

Ventura(off-camera): Buddy looks primed and ready to slug it out with Austin here in Indianapolis...

Styles(off-camera): This is Rogers' second CWI appearance-- his first came at Grand Opening, when he lost that contract ladder match against JBL for a shot at the CWI world heavyweight title....

Chimel(as music switches over to "I Won't Do What You Tell Me"): And his opponent, from Victoria, Texas and weighing in at 251 pounds, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin!

Styles(off-camera): Austin riding high following a win over "Outlaw" Ron Bass in a rematch of their Grand Opening bunkhouse brawl...

Camera follows Austin around the ringposts playing to the crowd as Rogers looks on in contempt.

Ventura(off-camera): Buddy obviously looking to take Austin down a peg or two...

Styles(off-camera): Bell sounds to get the match started, and Austin locked with Rogers in a classic staredown in the middle of the ring!

Ventura(off-camera): Looks like Buddy's taunting Stone Cold-- not the wisest thing you can do in a situation like this....

Styles(off-camera): Definitely not, Jess...and it looks like Austin's ready to do something about it! He winds up for a punch on Rogers-- OH MY GOD! KICK TO THE SOLAR PLEXUS BY ROGERS ON AUSTIN!

okay... I didnt think it was a good start, but unlike coolio123 I will tell you what to improve ;)...
-write out full matches instead of having your announcers talk. Sorry but announcers get annoying. What is it like on mute on the tv or if you're there live?

Match #2 should be good... If you're not already done with it, I suggest using my suggestion right away ;)
I'll be checking out the rest

As a matter of fact, lakerz, the match was still in the early minutes when you made your post. :) Anyhow, picking up more or less where I left off....

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. "The Original Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers

The match starts with Austin and Rogers staring each other down in the center of the ring. The two men exchange insults until Austin, while trying to land a roundhouse right on Rogers, is nailed with a kick to the solar plexus; the Original Nature Boy then hits him with a German suplex and tries to put on the figure-four leglock only to have Austin jab him in the eye and pepper him with a barrage of fists. Stone Cold then Irish-whips Rogers into the ropes and nails him with a flying clothesline. He tries for the cover, but Rogers kicks out at two and delivers another German suplex on Austin. The Original Nature Boy follows up with back-to-back elbow drops on Austin and clamps a sleeper on him; he does so too close to the ropes, however, and Austin manages to break the hold. Rogers tries to set him up for a DDT only to have Stone Cold reverse it into a face-first suplex; as the crowd erupts in a standing O, Austin delivers the Stunner on Rogers for the 1-2-3 and the victory. As a dazed Rogers rolls out of the ring after the final bell, Austin engages in his traditional post-match beer toast to the Conseco Fieldhouse crowd.

Winner: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin by pinfall at 17 minutes and 53 seconds.

Camera then cuts back to Joey Styles and Jesse "The Body" Ventura at their ringside broadcast table; they talk briefly about the upcoming tag team grudge match between Eric Embry & Tommy Rich and Justin Credible and Buzz Sawyer, then roll highlights of the Rich-Credible singles match that led to tonight's grudge bout.

Fade to a Tony Schiavone live interview with Antonio Inoki. Through an interpreter, Inoki say's he's looking forward to winning the CWI world heavyweight title from Dave Batista and pledges to defend the belt against all comers once he becomes champion.

Roll 20-second promo for Frontal Assault, then it's back to ringside; as the camera cuts to Dave Penzer, Styles announces that the next match will be Kurt Angle vs. George Hackenschmidt.

Kurt Angle vs. George Hackenschmidt

As Hackenschmidt comes to the ring donning old-fashioned trunks, the self-proclaimed Olympic Hero bursts out laughing at what he thinks is the most ridiculous attire he's ever seen. However, the joke turns out to be on Angle when Hackenschmidt gets him with a standing dropkick, then hits him with three consecutive legdrops. The Latvian technical specialist then clamps on a grapevine; Angle almost passes out from the pain before he finally manages to struggle to the ropes to force Hackenschmidt to break the hold. The former world heavyweight champion tries to side-suplex Angle, but the Olympic Hero blocks it and uses his last reserves of energy to drill Hackenschmidt with the Angle Slam for the 3-count and the win.

Winner: Kurt Angle by pinfall at 19 minutes and 4 seconds.

Cut to the Rock & Roll Express backstage in their dressing room watching a replay of Michael Cole's interview with Jim Cornette; Robert Gibson shakes his head and quips that Cornette must be on drugs, to which Rick Morton heartily agrees. Morton Gibson then walk off-camera to get in some final pre-match exercise before they battle MNM.

Fade to commercial.

We return from commercial with an exterior shot of Conseco Fieldhouse, then zoom in on a gray stretch limo pulling into the parking lot. The door opens and current CWI United States champion Curt Hennig steps out with manager Bobby "The Brain" Heenan in tow. We hear Ventura speculate that Curt must be in town to talk about his US title victory at Conflagration, then segue to the ring as Wendi Richter prepares to defend the CWI women's title against Mildred Burke.

CWI women's title match: Wendi Richter(champion) vs. Mildred Burke(challenger)

Richter starts the match with a snapmare takedown and a knee drop on Burke; she follows that up with a sidewalk slam. Burke manages to surprise her by quickly recovering from the slam to deliver a reverse DDT on the champion; the challenger then rocks Richter with a flying tackle and a 450 splash from the second rope. As a dazed Richter tries to shake off the cobwebs, Burke bulldogs her, then hooks the leg for the three-count, and just like that we have a new CWI women's champion.

Winner and new CWI women's champion: Mildred Burke by pinfall at 6 minutes and 12 seconds.

Camera then dissolves to MNM's dressing room as Melina Perez warns Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury not to embarrass her when they face the Rock & Roll Express tonight. Nitro brags that he and Mercury will take the Rock & Rolls out in two minutes. Mercury chimes in with a joke about Jim Cornette whose punchline has to be bleeped out lest TNR's producers get in trouble with the FCC.

Fade to the ring as Lillian Garcia introduces the next match.

The Undertaker vs. Sid Vicious

The Deadman and Sid cut each other with glares that could melt the snow off Mount Everest; Sid hasn't forgotten how 'Taker pushed him out of the Skyscrapers back in the old NWA, nor has 'Taker forgotten his wars with Sid for the WWE world title. The Deadman and the ex-Skyscraper slug it out in a Pier 6 brawl that at one point spills into the stands and almost causes them both to get counted out. At about the twenty-minute mark Sid yanks 'Taker back into the ring and tries to set him up for a power bomb only to have the Deadman backdrop him at the last second; 'Taker then chokeslams Sid before nailing him with the Tombstone to seal the victory. As the lights in Conseco Fieldhouse go dark, 'Taker picks up the mic to warn Bob Roop that his war with Sullivan's Army of Darkness won't be over until he's driven every single member of it out of CWI.

Winner: The Undertaker by pinfall at 22 minutes and 31 seconds.

Camera then cuts to Buzz Sawyer and Justin Credible's dressing room, where their guest manager for the evening, Gary Hart, threatens Tommy Rich and Eric Embry with a beating that will make them wish they'd never gotten into the wrestling business. From there we fade to Percy Pringle, who tells Todd Grisham that Embry and Rich will mop the floor with Hart's team.

After that, it's back to the ring as guest referee Jim Cornette reluctantly climbs into the ring for the next bout.

MNM vs. the Rock & Roll Express

Nitro starts the match off for MNM, Rick Morton for the Rock & Rolls; Rick takes Nitro down with a neatly executed head scissors, then tags to Robert Gibson, who hits Nitro with a belly-to-back suplex and follows up with a forearm shot to the chest. Gibson tries to get the pin but Nitro kicks out at 1½ and tags in Joey Mercury, who nails Gibson with three straight roundhouse rights and Irish-whips him into a neutral corner. He goes for the splash but misses as Gibson rolls out of the way at the last second and tags Morton back in; Morton hits a dazed Mercury with a flying dropkick and tries to pin him. Mercury somehow manages to get his foot on the rope at 2½ and Cornette tells Morton he has to break the cover, which of course touches off a bitter argument between them...

Fade to commercial(unfortunately).

MNM vs. the Rock & Roll Express(continued)

As we return from commercial break, we see Johnny Nitro applying a possibly illegal chokehold on Rick Morton. Cornette tells Nitro to break the hold, and now it's MNM's turn to get in a beef with the guest referee. While Nitro and Cornette are jawing at each other, Morton tags in Gibson and escapes to the safety of his corner as Gibson clotheslines Nitro over the top rope. An infuriated Melina leaps into the ring and tears into Cornette like a rabid dog, prompting backup referee Tommy Young to call for the bell and award the win to the Rock & Rolls on a DQ; as Gibson and Morton turn to each other with "WTF?" looks on their faces, the Midnight Express come charging out of the locker room and hustle their manager to safety.

Winners: The Rock & Roll Express by disqualification at 16 minutes and 49 seconds.

Fade to Tony Schiavone and CWI world heavyweight champion Dave Batista in the backstage area. The Animal tells to Tony that while he doesn't doubt Inoki's ability, he's confident that he'll still be CWI world champ when the show's over. He also offers a few predictions for Frontal Assault, then heads back to his dressing room to get ready for his title match.

Cut to 15-second promos for Frontal Assault and the next episode of TNR, then fade to Tony Chimel introducing the Eric Embry/Tommy Rich and Buzz Sawyer/Justin Credible tag teams.

Tag team grudge match: Eric Embry and "Wildfire" Tommy Rich vs. Justin Credible and Buzz Sawyer

The crowd gets on Justin's case right at the start, chanting "Embry owns you!" at every opportunity. From his manager's perch at ringside, Gary Hart berates the crowd and tells the former ECW world heavyweight champion to beat the snot out of Embry. Eric, however, has other ideas and drills Justin with an atomic drop; Rich tags in at the five-minute mark and leaves Justin in a daze with a series of flying clotheslines. Out on the arena floor Percy Pringle brandishes a steel chair in a lion tamer-like pose while Hart spews out cracks about Pringle's weight. For a brief moment Hart's team manages to take control of the match as Buzz Sawyer power bombs Rich, but that doesn't last long-- a Justin Credible chair shot meant for Rich instead hits Buzz square in the face, allowing the former NWA world champion to tag in Embry. Embry then proceeds to nail Sawyer with a piledriver for the 1-2-3. Camera then pans to Hart and Sawyer arguing with Justin about the botched chair shot.

Winners: Eric Embry & Tommy Rich by pinfall at 14 minutes 29 seconds.

After a quick rundown of the card for the August 17th edition of TNR and dates for the Road to Throwdown tour, we return to the ring to see Mr. Perfect on the mic bragging about his CWI United States title win over Gorgeous George the previous week. He boasts that he'll retire the belt and is about to start telling the less-than-awed Conseco Fieldhouse crowd about the Heenan Family's plans to dominate CWI when "It's All About The Game" starts blasting from the PA and Triple H comes out to tell Hennig what he can do with his domination plans. He also mentions that he's in town to give "Mr. Perfect" and the Brain free makeovers; when a puzzled Bobby Heenan asks what the Game means, Trips signals to an unseen figure up in the skyboxes. Two seconds later, Hennig and his manager are doused with gallons of DX-green paint as the fans laugh their heads off at the US champion's expense. The rest of DX joins Triple H in the aisle and taunts Mr. Perfect with the DX chop to the strains of "Break It Down". A humiliated Brain tries to wipe the green paint off his face as we go to commercial break.

We return from commercial break to hear Joey Styles previewing the August 17th episode of TNR, set to be broadcast from Cobo Hall in Detroit. We also get an update on the card for Frontal Assault and some sarcastic banter between Styles and Ventura about DX's green paint prank on Bobby Heenan; camera then pans to Dave Penzer introducing our main event for the evening.

CWI world heavyweight title match: "The Animal" Dave Batista(champion) vs. Antonio Inoki(challenger)

Inoki dominates the early minutes of this bout, using his vast array of submission holds to weaken the champion; at about the ten-minute mark, however, the tide starts to turn in Batista's favor when the challenger misses on a splash attempt. The Animal then rocks Inoki with a flurry of clotheslines and power slams followed by back-to-back German suplexes. At the twenty-minute mark, he slingshots Inoki against the top rope before hitting him with the Batista Bomb for the 1-2-3 and the victory. As Batista is acknowledging the earsplitting post-match pops from the fans, Larry Zbyszko, scheduled to challenge for the world title on a special Monday night edition of Riot on August 21st, tries to blindside the champ. BIG mistake-- the Animal staggers him with a left hook to the temple, then tosses him out to the arena floor like a sack of potatoes.

Winner and still CWI world heavyweight champion: "The Animal" Dave Batista by pinfall at 20 minutes and 57 seconds.

The camera follows a dazed Larry Zbyszko trying to crawl back to the locker room as Riot goes off the air.
