Culd Cena vs Wyatt really happen at Wrestlemania 30?

The on March 8th WWE is live at the MSG. Their advertised Main Event is:

John Cena, Batista, Rey Mysterio vs The Wyatt Family

Could this point towards the John Cena vs Bray Wyatt rumors as being true? Seems odd they would throw them together with absolutely no back story.

Batista and Rey will be thrown in as fan favourites. And Brock doesnt do live shows

Meanwhile, on the same night at The Maverik Center:

Daniel Bryan & Big Show vs Randy Orton, Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins

An indication that it could be Bryan vs Orton for the Title? Bryan wins the Rumble, Orton hangs on to the title to give it more prestige?

I know cards are subject to change and I know that these are not TV shows but these events are used for Wrestlers to learn more about each other typically before a big PPV and they don't come much bigger than Mania 30.

For Cena/Wyatt to happen at Mania then Wyatt needs to go over Bryan convincingly on Sunday. I can't see that happening.

Then again, I can't see any other seeds that have been planted. Give him a mid-card match on the biggest show of the year, why not. Wouldn't be the first time.

Of course it could happen. It doesn't matter that there's no back story yet, it could start at the Rumble... or even the week after, we still have a decent 9 weeks before WrestleMania for Cena/Wyatt to build a story... will it actually happen though? I'm not so sure.

I do like the fact that nothing for Mania... maybe with the exception of Triple H/Punk is set in stone yet, whereas last year, we had a decent idea of what the high profile matches would be. This year everything seems a bit cloudy.

I'm sure we'll have a better idea on what Cena's going to be doing by Tuesday morning. Wyatt/Cena is definitely plausible though.

Wrestlemania is about making the most $$$$$$ possible by getting the most PPV buys. While the IWC would love Cena vs. Wyatt, the rest of the world would say, who the fuck is Bray Wyatt?

i dont like either. I hate cena vs bray wyatt at wrestlemania. Instead they give cena a time off, its better than their match. They put cena in a rumered legend match.

After wrestlemania wyatt fued with cena or whatever.

For such a huge WM I can't see Cena against anyone OTHER than either one of the biggest names in WWE (Taker, Bryan..) or a Legend (Sting?..) Dunno...but for the WM that more non-wrestling fans are due to watch, I can only see the big names against one another, and Bray isn't that just yet...

Unless of course sometime VERY soon, the storyline turns into something amazing regarding the two, which I doubt.

No don't like cena vs Wyatt. Wyatt could fight jechio or shamus if they return and cena should fight the undertaker. The undertaker had beating everybody of his era and cena's era but cena himself and if they sign sting he should fight the legend killer

Typically they would need Cena is a much higher profile match but with this loaded line up he could take a step back, work with a young mid carder and not lose a step. Cena's star power isn't going to take a hit from working a proram like this and it would be a big time rub for Wyatt.

Actually Wyatt and Cena should work pretty well in the ring together. Wyatt is clearly better in the ring when on the offensive side of the ball while Cena usually spends the majority of the time taking the beating. Toss in some outside interaction from Rowan and Harper and they can completely hide Wyatts shortcomings.

Cena vs. Wyatt could potentially be a platform for a major WM moment. In the closing moments of the match the official takes a bump with the Fmaily using this as an oppotunity for a three-on-one. Lost story short Hogan to the rescue, 123, Cena/Hogan pose from the crowd and we have WM magic.

Ya bray Wyatt should fight shamus to build him name and jechio vs rvd would be a good match to kick things off. Punk vs HHH, Ic champ vs us champ, Wyatt's vs the shield(tag team),Batista vs lesnar height weight champ, Rhodes vs the USO tag title match, sting vs the legend killer, byran vs big show, cena vs undertaker

Bray vs Cena could work magnificently if booked correctly, like any feud.
At the EC Cena should be the first man to start in the chamber but before the ref locks the door, the lights go out and out come the Wyatt's and attack Cena and drag him backstage.
The following weeks consist of attacks amazing promos and Cena being a sign to the Wyatt's of the Machine taking over, this would get Wyatt more over as a heel and will give guys like Bryan to get their WM moment.
This match should be an I quit match

I would find a better use for Cena then Bray. That kind of match you can save for literally any other PPV, for WM you gotta go a lot bigger then Bray is now.

As for the Wyatts I would give the people what they want and finally put them and the Shield against each other. Wyatts goes over which gives them a much needed dose of credibility, and post match Reigns spears Ambrose to a huge pop as he tears off the protective gear to signify him going out on his own.

Wyatt v. Cena is the worst possible booking of the last several years. Might as well have Cena fight Jack Swagger. Bryan v. Wyatt is a good solid feud with equal talents.

It seems unlikely but I'm honestly not sure what is likely for Cena at this point. It's possible he could still end up wrestling Taker but there hasn't been a single peep about it and it seems Hogan hasn't been cleared to wrestle so the various tag matches involving him and Cena don't seem to be on the cards.

This reminds me of Mania 25 when Cena ended up in that goofy triple threat angle with Show and Edge that really felt like it was cobbled together late on in the booking process.

Bray is a character right now that has had a strong presence on WWE programming since last summer and has been protected at all times, I guess WWE could feel Cena can get him over even further by wrestling him at Mania, the angle seems an easy fit as well with no one being more representative of the machine than Cena, but I wonder if the angle would work given Cena tends to split the crowd and I think they want Bray booed, not getting cheered off the older fans and smarky types.

Sorry but these rumour matches for mania of bray wyatt vs cena or sheamus vs bryan need to get the F otta here. These are matches for battleground or payback, NOT WRESTELMANIA. I could care less if these matches have a good "story" behind it because at the end of the day ppl pay top dollars to see the best match/match up that wwe has to offer for the 30th freaking anniversary of mania.

i dont want it to be some guy named bray wyatt taking on cena in a match which can be seen on a typical raw show where nobody will consider its a big deal.

Wyatt's promo on Smackdown was quite interesting. While I don't think this match should happen the promo kind off made me think. The way I read it is that perhaps he costs Cena the title match. Orton retains; Cena doesn't lose clean; Wyatt has something going forward.

Bray should be done with Bryan leaving him with nothing. There are a lot of superstars right now meaning the title picture and the man to face Taker is pretty much set. Hogan is apparently unable to wrestle. Therefore, they might have Cena face Wyatt.

It seems like it could work. While I have no desire for this to happen it would be interesting to watch. I can't see it happening, however, simply because Cena is too big for this. It is WM30 and Cena should be facing a big name opponent rather than Bray Wyatt.

I started this thread because I knew I was onto something. I think some of the people who shot me down need to have a good think next time because you really do have egg on your face. Everyone thinks they are an expert, but they aint.

I predict Elimination Chamber will be Cena vs The Wyatts and then Mania will be Cena vs Bray.

I didn't realize Wrestlemania is tomorrow... OH WAIT, IT'S NOT! Until it's all said and done and the card is finalized, we can't say for sure that it's Cena vs. Wyatt. I'm still very skeptical that Cena vs. Wyatt in a one on 1 match will be a Wrestlemania main event even after what happened last night. We still have a couple months. We shall see.

Personally, after what occured in the title match yesterday with the crowd trolling the title match(which was a pretty good match) and all.
This kind of programme might well be perfect for Cena this Wrestlemania. It will also help Bray especially if he can repeat the performance he gave last night vs Daniel Bryan.

I am actually looking forward to this feud as I think it is the best possible for John Cena at this time.

I don't think Daniel Bryan will just leave the feud without acknowledging his loss somewhat on tonights RAW.
Also, with all that occured last night, WWE Creative has to do some tweaking with their proposed Main Event, or WM will be a troll festival all night long.

I hope we dont get Cena vs Bray at Mania and they do it at next months Elimination Chamber PPV...then have Cena cut a promo the next night on RAW saying he's got nothing going on for Mania and then Taker appears and challenges Cena for WrestleMania...we can only hope lol

I generally hate fantasy booking but I did have a thought of how I wish this would progress.
In short, after Elimination Chamber and Wyatt screwing Cena again, the next night

Cena: Rah rah rah, at Wrestlemania it should be the leader of the WWE universe against the leader of the Wyatts.
Bray: Absolutely, there's just one thing John, that you haven't considered.

Whether you guys and girls like it or not, Bray Wyatt VS John Cena is great, Bray Wyatt wants to take down all of the heroes, Kane was somewhat of a hero in their war, Bray Wyatt decimated Daniel Bryan, and soon they will destroy an angry, dissolving Shield. John Cena is the classic "hero" of this generation, which would be an epic target for Bray Wyatt do beat, or have a good match and feud with. This would be a match of epic proportions at Wrestlemania 30, you guys and girls just don't see it yet.

I wouldn't mind the match as long as it ended with John Cena putting Bray Wyatt over. Like it or not Wyatt is a future champion, the only problem they'll have with it is how are they going to split him out of the Wyatt family. He's over with the fans, they love him, just go look at him when he was on NXT. If he beats Cena at Mania, the only logical choice next would be for him to feud with whoever the champion is. This is all speculation obviously, I just hope they don't end up ruining the character.

Also, I don't think Taker will be the leader of the group. Taker can't go into Mania being a heel, plus it just doesn't make sense to think he would be the leader. Yeah, he once led the Ministry Of Darkness but this doesn't have that feel.

Taker's days of being in storylines are over, he's just gonna show up and wrestle at Mania, put on a 5 star epic and leave again until next year.

hmm after the Rumble, this would seem the exact route they are going. Personally, I dont think this warrants a Mania 30 spot, but the way Bryan carried Wyatt to a cracking match, the assist in costing Cena the belt then the following night on Raw.......this match is now going to happen. Odd, but fresh and just what we want as fans. Just blows out any chance of Cena turning heel to end Wrestlemania 30
