So Crocker survived my challenge of not saying anything negative about John Cena for 48 hours and as promised, here is what he has earned, within the spoiler tags below....

Crocker, to find out what your prize is, open the spoiler tags.

So you really want to know what it was?
Are you sure?
Are you REALLY sure?
I don't think you're ready for something as amazing as this.
All your hard work has been worth it, because now you have....
Nothing, unless you click this next spoiler tag to find the real answer.
Getting closer....
It seriously IS in this next spoiler tag.
Or maybe it's in THIS one?
Still here, huh? You must really want this. You have 10 more layers of spoiler tags to get through.
9 more.
8 more.
7 more.
6 more.
5 more.
4 more.
3 more.
2 more.... have you figured out what it is yet....?
1 left. Are you ready?
No, I said ARE YOU READY????
Then go until WWE Raw has ended tonight, still without saying anything negative about John Cena, and I'll post a new thread that has your actual gift in it around 22:30 Central Time tonight.

I clicked all 21 spoiler tags.

I don't know what I was expecting.

I am determined to trounce you at Kingdom Come for this.

Did you intentionally borrow that bit from Karsh in Chrono Cross? When you keep clicking on a treasure chest and he finally says "just take the fucking thing"?

Nope. I knew about it before that. There's a Kilwala in Chrono Trigger who keeps saying "Mountains are nice!" until you talk to him enough times then he gives you something. A guy in a hotel in Earthbound did it too, so that joke's way older than Chrono Cross. Nice reference though.

Karsh did it with the exact same countdown, I know it's a staple but it was so close to this version I thought the borrowing was intentional.

I have a feeling there will never be a "gift" and he didn't expect you to not talk about John Cena.

Nah, it legitimately wasn't. I had forgotten about this until you posted it. Last time I played that game was about 8 years ago.

It's been about five years for me, so I'm due for a replay. On the suggestion of the 2nd best English teacher I had in high school (I had good English teachers), there are certain works of art I go through every five or ten years to see how I reflect on them differently as I age. A short list includes Lord of the Rings (next readthrough: 2017), the Dune series minus those hideous abortions his son wrote, and Final Fantasy VII (which I actually like less every time I play).

I think I've figured it out. Crocker's a Make a Wish kid and would like to meet John Cena, his absolute most favorite wrestler in the whole entire world
