Create Your Own Triple Threat

NSL

Life's A Bitch, And Then You Mosh
This would be my NFL inspired thread...

Every year, we see a few teams achieve big things with a "triple threat"...A combination of a great QB, a great WR, and a great RB. Here's your chance to create your own. Again, use any criteria you want.

Mine, as was the case with the last two, will be on my favorite team. The New York Football Giants.

QB - Y.A. Tittle - Yes, that's his real name. He holds just about every passing record in franchise history, and was one of the best during his era. He can sling the ball deep, with accuracy, and hit any target, anywhere on the field. He was very smart, and did a lot of his own playcalling.

RB - Joe Morris - He may not have the big play ability of Tiki, or the size of Otis Anderson, but he was a back that could get the job done. He ran up the middle, over the tackle, and could make some key catches. He was a do-it-all back, before they were the hottest thing going in football.

WR - Amani Toomer - You can't deny that he flat out knows how to play the game right. He was always one of the most respected receivers in the league, because he kept a cool demeanor, and played clean. He never made the Pro Bowl, and only has 1 Super Bowl ring, but he was a good player, and is a good role model.

Well my favorite team the Cowboys already has without a doubt the greatest triple threat of all time in Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith & Michael Irvin, but I will make a triple threat that includes players that I think are spectacular.

Troy Aikman-QB. Troy was a general on the field & he was a great great leader. Troy may not have had the stats that quarterbacks like Favre or Marino had, but he didn't have to put those type of numbers up do to who good Emmitt was, but the thing that sets him apart from those 2 is that Troy always came through for the Cowboys in the clutch as his 3 Super Bowl rings are any indication of that.

Walter Payton-RB. The second greatest running back in my opinion only behind Emmitt Smith. Like Emmitt, Walter Payton was known for making nothing into something. He was one to never run out of bounds. He brought back the stiff arm that running backs had abandoned in the 70's, he would leap over the defenders & was just a bad ass player overall.

Jerry Rice-WR. He is without a doubt the greatest receiver of all time & I can't stand the teams that he played for. He was dedicated to the game, had great work ethic, had great hands, great speed, he's durable(only missed 10 games in his entire career) & he can block which not alot of receivers can do in the NFL. It's no wonder why he has most of the damn records which will most likely not ever be broken.
