Could Extreme Rules be one of the best PPVs of the year?

Mac Attack

I'm neat.
I was thinking on how bad some PPV's are this year and realized that personally I think Extreme Rules as the possibility of bein one of the best PPV's after Wrestlemania. Extreme Rules gets all the after buzz of Wrestllemania and all the matches have cool Gimnmicks. For example the card for this years Extreme Rules included

Strap Match, Extreme Rules match, Hair match, Street Fight, Steel Cage, and Last Man Standing.

Now as a paperview buyer why wouldn't I want to see a Paperview that included this kind of card as WWE rarely has these type of matches. Yes I know that the build for it has to be good but right after Wrestlemania either you have a continuation of a feud ora new feud to start the new wrestling year ( i base wrestling years in Wrestlemanias)

WWE has started several gimmick PPV's ( Hell in a Cell, Elimination Chamber, TLC) but as the matches show none of these matches are currently a PPV. I feel that this actually has the most variety as a PPV and is one of the few PPV's that I feel even the diva's match had some special stipulation to it.

Now I know that the weapon use of the WWE has drastically reduced and the sheer bloodshed is eliminated but this is one of the few chances that we have has buyers to actually see some variety rather then the countless singles matches that end in interference PPV's.

even with the TV PG which also was at last years PPV you saw some interesting spots : Cena AA Batista into a car, Sheamus "ending" Triple H career (sorta in a way) and a strap match which made Shad and JTG nothing on WWE anymnore.

I would like to know if you agree or disagree and what you would do to help improve Extreme Rules and yeah I know the PG should be gone but anything more creative.

It was alright, I didnt care too much that half the matches on it were just rematches from wrestlemania with an added stipulation. Of course thats pretty much what WWE does every year with backlash/extreme rules.

Well in my opinion for what I would want is make every match on the card just No DQ which is extreme rules anyway and not have all these different gimmick matches just thrown into one ppv. We all know WWE is going overkill with gimmick matches over the last year or so. Ya its fine when the main event or something is like say a steel cage match, but when theres more then that on the card you just lose interest after a while and not look forward to the Cage match that would be at the end

I didnt mind extreme rules it was just the too many gimmick matches in one night for me. In fact i enjoyed some aspects more then WM. Like punk and rey rey getting more time for their match. Only thing I would have actually changed was kept shad and JTG completely off the card.
