Could Big Show be Sting's saving grace at Fast Lane

QBall111

Occasional Pre-Show
Since Big Show's turn at Survivor Series, something doesn't seem right. I feel it's been his worst heel run and it's like he was reluctantly put in that place to turn. His heel turn was so out of place. Now that we are up to Fastlane and there have been signs of tension between him and Kane, it feels like he is the black sheep of the authority.

So tonight, there will be an answer from Sting of why he is here. The question remains is who let him in. I feel it's way too obvious that there will be an authority ambush tonight against Sting. I even thought the Legend Killer could return tonight but the Big Show and Sting have history in WCW when BS was the Giant, both good and bad history so I'm wondering if Big Show will double cross the authority tonight. I want to see the Sting theatrics and would love to see him bout to ambushed, the lights go out, come back on after awhile and all the authority members layed out except Triple H and him have the baseball bat pointed directly at Triple H but I've still be wondering if Show could be a possible as well

Or they could keep Big Show the fuck away from Sting because this angle might actually draw.

Oh I have to agree with this. Don't let Sting anywhere near the charisma vacuum that is Big Show. Sweet Jesus if that happens, I'm turning off the show.

If Sting is about to be ambushed, I have no doubt Team Cena will come out to save him just like he did them at SS.

If the Authority does attempt to ambush Sting, he should take them out on his own, ala the NWO during Uncensored 1997. Ryback, Rowan and Ziggler should nowhere to be seen. Sting needs to be the one thing the authority cannot handle. He has been booked perfectly thus far save for the lack of appearances.

Making Sting seem impenetrable is how they can get the most money out of his limited run. It keeps him over with the new audience if they know he will always foil the Authority.

100% agree with this.

Sting needs to be the one they can't handle. Have a brief exchange of words - cue The Authority (J&J, Big Show, Kane) beatdown - Sting takes them all out while Triple H retreats.

No!!!! Do not dilute the Sting angle with something unnecessary. The best things to do with Sting is use one off scenarios using various inactive legends.

Like the Ric Flair thing was perfect. Can bring in Nash and Hall next to talk to their buddy about Sting and what they know about him. Bring in Hogan to tell HHH about Sting.

The point being you have to use credible faces that the current generation will trust to educate them on who Sting is and was. Its an easy way to advance the storyline with HHH and also get Sting over without him having to touch anyone on the roster.

I don't think I would be in too much of a hurry to include the Big Show in any sort of storyline involving Sting. I think they should end up with some sort of program involving Kane and Big Show, with cracks in the foundation of the Authority. But personally I am not interested in seeing Big Show provide assistance to Sting. Let Sting fight off the various Authority lackeys singlehandedly, resulting in a stare down between him and Triple H, setting up the inevitable match up at Wrestlemania.

Of course, there are a couple of wet dream scenarios. Option one is a Sting beat down, at the hands of the Authority, until the lights go out, the gong sounds, and the Undertaker comes out to provide the save. And it's Undertaker versus Sting at the end of March, in the ultimate show of mutual respect. Option two is John Cena coming out to make the save (after losing to Rusev earlier in the evening), and after clearing the ring of Authority lackeys, to save the Icon Sting, he smashes Sting in the face, joining the Authority and turning heel in the process. And it is Sting versus Cena at WM31.

Clearly these dreams scenarios will not happen, as we all know it is going to be Triple H versus Sting at Wrestlemania this year. And I'm perfectly OK with this. But please don't involve the Big Show in this angle. Let Sting go it alone, likely the mysterious solitary figure that he has typically been.

Yes, because words always speak louder than actions. Right? Wrong.

Sting needs to beat down the authority on his own, why have other people talk about how great he is when he can still (somewhat) show it?

Heels get beat up by faces. Not having Sting touch anyone is the only thing unnecessary.

Why would anyone who doesn't know about Sting care what Hall and Nash have to say? Your idea is boring, and that is being kind.

It could happen, but I hope it doesn't. If Big Show (thanks for pointing out that his initials are "BS" - makes sense) becomes allied with Sting, the whole angle is dead to me. Sting should be a lone wolf, and if he HAS to have a buddy, I'd rather it be someone actually interesting.

Shhh!

If you write things like this, the WWE might actually go ahead and do it. I mean, it's a fucking terrible idea, and that's what the WWE do best, right? And especially when it comes to The Big Show, a guy who should be thinking about calling it a day. He certainly shouldn't be thinking about teaming with Sting.

For one thing, Sting is known to be a vigilante in the WWE, which likely means that he is going to do it alone. And when you couple that with the fact that The Big Show should be stepping away from the top of the card and not closer to something that should and can draw, then you really have a recipe for disaster with Show and this big idea of yours.

Eugh! The thought of it alone is enough to make me sad.

What Dave said. HHH and Sting have plenty to say to each other. They don't need any violence at all to make this night and this feud work. After tonight it is the announcer's job to sell the match by pointing out the stakes but more importantly pointing out that it is the first time Sting is competing in a WWE ring.

It is a feud of mind games if anything, not beatdowns or making the WWE roster look like shit by having a 50 some odd year old man take down everyone and anyone.

I think the big question is will there be stakes and what will they be? Career? Job? WCW's legacy?
