Christian VS Sheamus best of 7 series

Getting Noticed By Management
During the Monday night wars, fans got to witness an outstanding best of 7 series between Booker T and Chris Benoit. I haven't seen the matches in years but from what I recall they were an incredible display of wrestling. After watching the match on Raw this week between Sheamus and Christian and then Christian interfering in Sheamus' match on Smackdown it made m realize that WWE is likely going forward with these two at Mania. It got me thinking how are they going to get the fans into watching these two at Mania when we can get this match on Raw or Smackdown on a weekly basis.
My solution is to have a best of 7 series culminating at WM30. They can either have 4 or 6 matches leading up to the big event splitting the matches evenly then at Mania have either a singles match or a best 2 out of 3 finale. What does everybody think? Could this work?

There's no need for a Best Of Series in wrestling anymore. Most feuds feature numerous matches and wins and losses couldn't mean much less than they do in WWE. Kofi Kingston defeated World Champ Randy Orton not to long ago, for example.

Also, if a Best Of Series were to be promoted, it should be done as a star making exercise. Sheamus & Christian will never be more popular than they are now, so what would really be the point. Whilst we're at it, why is Christian even being considered for a spot on the Mania card?

I liked Benoit and Booker but their best of 7 for the US title sadly enough got tiring mid-way through, chalk it up to too much of a good thing. Didn't really help that it ended with Booker cheating in match 7 ftw . And at least there they had the US title to fight over, Sheamus and Christian has nothing but bragging rights and even then Christian is waaaaaay behind there.

And like you said, it's been done repeatedly on free TV already, I have absolutely no interest in seeing them again at WM.

Not a fan of it at all. Christian will never get the better of Sheamus nor should he with Sheamus being a bigger star and Christian seemingly on his way out. Besides what do either gain from a match at Wrestlemania other than a pay day? Sheamus should be doing something bigger but obviously can't from lack of room in the main events and Christian should be in some battle royal or pre show match. Stick Sheamus with some other monster heel like Titus or Ryback and just let them beat each other up for like 6 minutes on the under card.

I would much rather hold off of the Real Americans split(if that is a plan) and have a Cesaro vs Sheamus for the spectacle of it.
Makes more sense in the long run since Cesaro can go over and cement his popularity.

To besides, whilst Cesaro is popular with the crowd and needs to go face. I think Sheamus needs to go heel to be considered a threat in the Main Event scene going forward.

I can't quite say that I would be in full support of a best of 7 series. If they keep facing each other up until Wrestlemania 30 they risk the fans no longer caring by the time Wrestlemania begins. Why would fans care if they have already been given the match for free several times? I'm a fan of both guys and think they have potential to put on one of the better matches of the night if they were to face each other at Wrestlemania 30 though. Have them be placed in a standard filler match, it would still end up being quite good. Sheamus should get the win regardless of what type of match they get, he needs to build up some momentum again if he is going to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship again this year. Christian, as much as I want to see him win the belt when he gets that ONE MORE MATCH he'll keep asking for, is less believable in winning a world title than Sheamus at this time, thus Sheamus benefits more from a win at Wrestlemania if the face each other.

I don't think the fans would buy into this match up. Personally, Christian comes off to me as boring. I think a best of seven with Bryan and Orton could have worked but the ship has sailed on that

They have wrestled 3 times in the last 4 shows and Sheamus has won all 3 matches, I just don't see anything here to keep the angle going. Tonight their match got a "This is awful" chant, and while that may just have been due to the heated nature of the crowd I think we've seen enough of this combination and they certainly shouldn't face each other at Mania.
