Chris Jericho:I won't go back to the WWE until I can think of something new

First Immortality..Then the Bitches
Over on IGN they have an interview with Jericho, in which he states that he won't come back until he can think of something new(character wise).

Jericho: I don't want to go back and do the same thing. And do the same character I was doing last time. You constantly have to reinvent yourself. It's kind of a strange analogy but I think you'll pick it up when I say it - I always consider myself to be the Madonna of wrestling. And what I mean by that is "constantly re-inventing yourself." Every album Madonna does, she morphs into new styles of music and new looks. And when you work for the WWE, you work 52 weeks out of the year and on TV every week. You can't look the same or act the same every week. It gets boring. And I think that's why I've had such longevity as a performer and was always the guy to watch because people wanted to see what I did next. I even did that on Dancing with the Stars. And you have to do that or else you become predictable. And that's the worst thing you can become when you're in show business.

I really enjoyed his character that he played before being written off T.V but if Jeriicho says hes going to reinvent himself then it should be interesting to see what he comes up with. I still don't see him being gone for very long though.

So what do you guys think?

Jericho is too good not to be able to think of a new gimmick idea. This wont take him long and he will be back in WWE as soon as he could.

Well, Jericho also believes his last character should have reminded us of Anton Chigurh from No Country for Old Men. I never, not once, though of Chigurh, so I don't take a lot of stock in his choice of character. This isn't a knock on Jericho, but, whatever, just come back.

Well played by Jericho. Too many people in wrestling rest on their laurels.

I can see the Anton Chigurgh influence in his recent heel character (especially in the early days).

He needs to turn into Chris Jericho: Dancing Fireman. His pre-debut vignettes will feature him dancing through burning buildings singing Fozzy songs and rescuing people.

I like his dedication to being relevant. He has never been the guy to "go through the motions". I respect his ability to be smart enough to not get stale. I'm sure when he decides what to do, none of us will be disappointed.
