Cena and rock tag champs?

Jtrivera

Occasional Pre-Show
Over the years we have seen some crazy tag teams over the years, rock and sock connection, Batista and cena, and even more. Now that will know rock and cena will be fighting at mania, and that they also had that fight with the corre tonight. Do you think they'll be headed for a tag title run? In my opinion I think it'd work, a tag team trying to one up each other week after week, or can rock bs cena be a joke? Keep in mind April 1st is April fools day so ya never know

This could be very possible. I was going to make a topic called "WTF Corre?" But i think this might open up an epic opportunity. I'm just going to be excited for how much of an awesome promo they can make with a year of footage between the two.

Maybe even cut an angle where the two start becoming friends, but they realize that they have a match and they are destined to oppose each other.

For some crazy reason I could see this happening. Seeing as the WWE doesn't care about the Tag Titles. They can have Cena and Rock win the Tag Titles soon and they can shelve the title once in awhile and have Cena and Rock defend the title on Major PPV's.

If they make Cena and Rock even REMOTELY like eachother at all before mania , it completely ruins the whole point of the fued.

This could be a great idea for a few reasons.....

1.This would give them a chance to really build chemistry up w/one another seeing as they haven't worked together much.

2.This could also bring The Tag Titles Stock back up w/two former Heavyweight champs defending them all the time.

3.If they was to put Cena & Rock together for a while one could assume that this could help Cena get back over w/the rest of the crowd.

Now the only problem w/this idea is what the hell is Rock's movie schedule because on one movie site it states that he has about 7 in all lined up. Now some of them he may not do cause actors sign on & off of movies all the time but we will have to wait & see how this year plays out.

Rocky isn't going to be wrestling at all at least based off the many movies he's got lined up. It would be amazing to have him come back and wrestle here and there or be part of Raw in some way, but realistically it won't happen. He'll pop up again the question is when? A month? Three? Six down the road? We'll have to wait and see.

Either way it's nice that he's got some kind of Legends contract like Steve Austin so you know he'll be showing up and not leaving forever.

With their beatdown of the Corre I suspected a possible Tag match to be made for SummerSlam to maybe push their feud a bit more and get Rock back on PPV in a wrestling capacity and more so give us a taster of what is to come.

Which could go one of two ways, Cena turns heel on Rock and joins Corre (remember when Nexus their was a higher power, that couldn't have been Punk I don't believe it, so possibly bring back that storyline with Cena being THAT guy.

or

Have Rock/Cena go over non-tag titles bout @ SummerSlam, either way a year to wait for what a 20-30 minute match is WAAAAY to long to wait unless their going to give us tasers here and there to our interests peaked.

i like the idea, it would be awesome, but lets be honest here. we most likely wont see much of the rock up until a few weeks before WM 28. if we see him once or twice every month then ill be damned, id be shocked, and id be apalled. i love the thought of the rock and cena being a tag team, it would be good, but, i dont think so. nice thoughts though.

It would be cool to see Cena and Rock as a tag team but I don't see it happening.

Rock seems to be using the WWE right now in the same way that Ralph Nader uses presidential runs. He's merely using the WWE as a way to further put his name out there in order to push his films. I mean isn't it just a bit of a coincidence that he's showing up on Raw and Mania right around the same time as the forthcoming Fast and Furious sequel? As for Nader, he just happens to run for president right around the time he has a new book out.

Not that I have an issue with it, I like the Rock so it'll be fun just having him pop up every now and again. He's one of the only WWE wrestlers that has gone on to films and made films that I've kind of enjoyed.

I don't like that idea. You have kid fans of Cena who will love him no matter how corny he gets and you have even more hardcore Rock fans who will love him no matter how much he craps all over the Mania main event and pretty much only shows up when it's convenient to him (Mania 28 is in Miami, Rock's hometown).

I mean, it's awesome. This is the type of crowd conflict the WWE LOVES. This is like Cena/RVD ONS heat. Cena, even admitted by Brian Alvarez (head smark) is really pretty good in the ring. He tells amazing stories, who cares about moveset, we aren't autistic are we? We don't enjoy "wrestle by numbers and do cool moves". We enjoy EMOTION, and STORYTELLING. People criticized his mania performance, but he seemed out of it. Probably due to knowing the Rock was going to bury the biggest match on the biggest show of the year. Other than that you can't tell me, unless you're an idiot move mark who has no idea of real ring psychology, that Cena hasn't been pretty great in the ring since about 2006. Telling great stories with a limited moveset is something both Rock and Cena do very well with limited movesets.

Personally I think Rock will do some more crappy movies and make sporadic appearances in LA, New York, maybe Miami. Cena will bust his ass and still get booed by guys who are worked into booing him and cheering by the kids who's parents buy his merch.

If you tag them, the Rock fans might resent Rock, or the WWE.

I have this idea to basically turn the Rock heel. Not like he cheats heel, but heel in the same way Cena is a heel to the people that boo him. Make the Rock exactly what Cena says he is (which he is). the ONLY time I want the Rock in an actual match is at Mania. Have Rock continue to preach via satellite how Team Bring It loves him and how he loves it and how "no callin yo momma" and fruity pebbles and homo jokes and catchphrases.

Eventually people will support Cena. Earning Cena respect (not universal cheers) is what this is all about.

WWE WANTS the older audience to boo Cena. That's waaaaay more unique and fun to watch than 80% strong cheers and 20% courtesy cheers. 100% of the audience is making as much noise one way or another as possible for Cena now. Why ruin that?

Edit:
Rock needs to work on his punches before he gets back in the ring for any sustained period of time; they look like terrible.

probably id bet my money on it

this feud now has one full year to build up a whole effin year and its been built up since rock left basicaly with cena saying he loves rock but rock doesent love wwe everytime cena has a crappy wwe movie out and they compare the two.

next year wrestlemaia will be HUGE there aint any other dream match I want to see thats possible anymore other than Undertaker vs Sting and if they get Sting for next year I see wrestlemania 28 being the biggest mania of all time in sales..

something they somewhat hinted at is Miz vs Austin. I know about Austin's healthy but Miz's style and moveset is pretty safe. It's not likely we'd see Austin Misawa'ed in the ring. Give him time to get in shape and I can see it. I think it'd be an amazing feud. I love the Miz and I'll tell you why.

I went to a house show in Springfield, MO about a month ago. Main was Cena vs Orton vs Miz. Miz, vs the top 2 faces essentially. Miz comes out first to a very nice pop but nothing extraordinary. After about 3 minutes of essentially winging it on the mic, the ENTIRE crowd of around 7,000 (house show in a town of 200,000 is impressive) is EXPLODING for him. Just enormous.

If you watch him carefully, he's very smart and after finishing the match at Mania when he clearly hurt his head, I have a ton of respect for him. He's paid his dues.

Cena vs Rock, Austin vs Miz. I'd love it. Austin/Miz probably won't happen but it's fun to think about.

anyone who thinks this is possible or should be possible has brain damage.

The rock wont be back other then once or twice here and there untill road to WM28 comes along.

Cena will continue to feud with miz and hopefully take the strap from him.( miz is the definition of boring.)

as for this pointless thread, cena and rock tag champs? keep dreamin there ******

Thats why theres a question mark there my troling friend, we have seen stuff like del rio winning the rumble and your gonna tell me this isn't possible? Lol you must be in your own little world,

How is Del rio, a guy who is talented and over winning the Rumble as "impossible" as the Rock wrestling consistently? Rock obviously doesn't give a shit about his legions of white trash/nostalgic fans or the WWE for that matter. He's a "movie star", well, as much as a C list action movie supporting "actor" can be. He won't be in the ring (and he shouldn't be, his punches look like garbage) until Mania.

I could see it happening if the rock gives up the hollwood business and stays in wrestling. we cant have them win the titles ans then have them defend on special episodes of Raw. it would be cool if they had the titles for a couple of months and respected each other more before their match at WM28, it would be like triple h versus the undertaker at WM27. also they would be a hit, the crowd was going crazy when they both hit their signature moves on the corre.

It doesn't seem all that impossible as long as The Rock doesn't have to show up more than once or twice a month and the PPVs to defend it.

I mean, why else would The Corre show up and attack them? It's technically "stealing the spotlight" but I'm pretty sure the writers had something else in mind by having them appear and get their ass kicked in the end.

I don't want Cena and Rock to respect each other till after the match. The match is about cena wanting Rock to respect him and giving the fans what they want. If it's the ******y "I love you man you're awesome" then the match won't have at all as much heat.
