Can't be bothered to carry round the title you just won?

OIL

Championship Contender
A while back, one of the writers here wrote a story about how HBK asked him to carry the World Heavyweight Championship for him, and bring it to RAW the next night because he couldn't be bothered to carry it. (Elimination Chamber match - 2002).

My point, why work all your life to win the belt, if you can't be bothered to carry round the belt.

Cause at this point in his career he doesn't need or want the belt in the first place, and really the belt is nothing more than a prop for a tv show anyway, and a heavy prop at that, I just got done watching a Lance Storm shoot, and he's was always happy to give up titles, (especially when he had three at once) cause it meant his bangs would be lighter

Hhmmmm, HBK didn't work all his life to win the title that night, did he? HBK is one of the most decorated champs in history. His winning the EC match wouldn't have had the same impact on him as a person as winning the Iron Man Match in '96.

Still, that's the sort of behaviour and attitude that gets one labelled as a pre-madonna.

Coming back from the injury, it was a good way to finish the storyline. But, he won it. If he didn't need or want it, he could have turned that storyline down. Did he? No. The least he could do is carry it. It might be a heavy prop, but winning it means you're considered one of the top wrestlers. (Except a few).

If he can't be bothered to bring it to RAW, he shouldn't have it at all.

Yeah it was, it should him overcoming the odds and taking the most precious thing away from Triple H, the guy that "crippled" him for the past 3 months leading to the PPV

He only won it cause the whole point of this match, the reason the made it in the first place, was for him to come back and get revenge by beating Trips for the belt, if he had lost then the match and HBKs comeback would have been completely pointless

Why should he carry something he didn't want in the first place, the belt means nothing to HBK anymore, it was just a part of the storyline which continued after Survivor Series, and he only held the match for a fucking month, then Trips won it back

If he can't be bothered to bring it to RAW, he shouldn't have it at all.

He doesn't want, and the only reason he was given it then was because, as I've already said, it was just a part of the storyline that with out would have made his whole comeback pointless, what would rather they have done, had Trips cripple HBK at SummerSlam, then HBK comes back at Survivor Series in the Elimination Chamber to get his revenge on Trips and take his most loved possesion, the title, only to have Trips beat HBK in the chamber, keep his title and then beat him again at Armageddon a month later, which would just be Trips completely burying a legend that can still go, now I know Trips is accused of burying talent but not even he would be dumb enough to do that

though if Trips had buried HBK instead I'm sure you'd be bitching about that right now instead something as stupid and little as HBK didn't want to carry the belt around with him for that one month he was picked champion

As has been said, HBK has won many titles, and they are just a show prop anyways. They don't mean anything off camera, and certainly not once you've won it many times.

Still, that's the sort of behaviour and attitude that gets one labelled as a pre-madonna.
:lmao:

I think the phrase you're looking for is prima donna.

So wait, does this mean we are like, agreeing on something here?, LOL

He shouldn't have lost the title after a month, that was a bad move. But I mean, they could have had HHH drop the title to someone else and just let their fued centre around the injury. They could have done an angle where HBK injured HHH, forcing him to take a lay off, and HHH could come back at the Royal Rumble or something.

It didn't need to be about the title, he could have suggested other ways of gaining revenge. While winning the WHC was still probably the best option, if HBK didn't want the belt, don't fucking give it to him just for the sake of it, spech for a month long reign.

So first you say he shouldn't have won the belt now you're saying he shouldn't have lost it, what the hell man, make up your mind

But I mean, they could have had HHH drop the title to someone else and just let their fued centre around the injury.

That makes no sense, the whole idea for HBK to win the belt was because he would be taking the most precious thing way from Triple H, just as Triple H tried to take the ability to walk and play with his child away from HBK at SummerSlam, having Triple H drop the title to anyone else would have been pointless

They could have done an angle where HBK injured HHH, forcing him to take a lay off, and HHH could come back at the Royal Rumble or something.

Yeah cause we all know how much Trips loves taking time off, especially when he's not really hurt:rolleyes:, the only time Trips is off these days are when he's hurt or Steph is popping out another kid, and the latter only keeps him out for a week or so

It didn't need to be about the title, he could have suggested other ways of gaining revenge.

It wasn't about the title really, but what the title represented to Triple H, it was his everything, and HBK took that away from him

While winning the WHC was still probably the best option, if HBK didn't want the belt, don't fucking give it to him just for the sake of it, spech for a month long reign.

HBK didn't want the belt he took it cause it was part of the storyline, and because he realized how much of an important role it played in the storyline, the only reason that he dropped it back to Triple H at Armageddon is probably due to him not wanting the belt in the first place
