Calgary Stampede Started Today

Hello Wrestlezone,

Today Calgary's famous Stampede started and I'm happy to report that although we've had tons of flooding, the Stampede looks to be super successful again this year. I fly out to Philladelphia on Monday so can't do a day to day report but from what I've seen most of the events minus a few indoor rodeo events will all be happening. One of the greatest things I saw today however was during the parade in the city and the first "float" was not a float at all but all the first responders to the flooding being cheered on by their city. It was amazing moment for the city of Calgary and the applause was thunderous.

I'd suggest if you never have been to the stampede in your life eventually make the trip out it's way worth it.

That sounds like a fun event. It's always held around this time of the year? I'll have to consider checking it out sometime.

I'm looking forward to going down there this year, deanerandterry needs deep fried oreo's and other foods that are deep fried. Also hoping the surfing simulator makes its return this year, I would love to try that out. Is there anything out of the ordinary this year?

@Dagger - It starts around the same time every year. Usually it starts the 1st Friday of July unless the 1st Friday is Canada day. If you ever have the funds check it out, I don't think I've ever had a bad time at the Stampede and have always had fun.

Yeah as stated before it's almost always around this time, always a blast (although the saddledome isn't open this year for obvious reasons) and if you can imagine this when you go to the rodeo (If you do) envision a Chicago crowd for CM Punk for each and every performer... It's beyond fun.
