We shy worth hair
During Sunday's WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view event, TNA Wrestling star Bully Ray posted a message on Twitter reminding fans who conceptualized TLC.

"Dudleys, Hardys, E&C...still the KINGS of TLC. Anybody doubt that? Of course not. #BULLYNATION," he wrote.

A fan responded, "Someone's feeling irrelevant," leading Ray to reply, "Not really douche bag. Just proud of what we did. #gotohell. Adios jerky..."

This just seemed really unnecessary from Ray.

I just hope he's having a good time in his story with Brooke Hogan. It's really disappointing to see someone who's gone so long act this way; rather than put over the new guys with potential he has to remind everyone HEY JUST REMEMBER WHO DID IT FIRST AND BETTER?!

None of those matches were as fast paced as last nights, I think that was what was so impressive. I should state that last nights wasn't better though but it could be considered close.

Do you partake in marijuana or any other recreational or possibly hallucinogenic drugs?

For what they had to work with it I still stand by what I said. Going into the match I thought it would be a sloppy disaster. Tell me what exactly their match did any better differenly besides Edge spearing Hardy from the top and Rhyno sending Matt and Bubba Ray through the tables.

You mean how they had Tables, Ladders and Chairs to work with? A bit like how E&C, The Dudley's and The Hardy Boyz had... Tables, Ladders and Chairs to work with, because it was a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match!

It had innovation, it had a helluva' lot more high risk stunts. Asides from Rollins fall last night nothing really happened in it. Reigns did a cool tackle to Kane through the barricade and they once again Powerbombed Ryback through the table. It was a good match, don't over-hype it.

Horse tranquilizer.

Oh, well in that case this explains everything.

I'm not saying it's the best TLC match ever, but it's not so far fetched to say it was close being almost as great as what was once done. I'll give you the high risk stunts, back then chair shots to the head were still legal and nobody in last night's match pulled a Jeff Hardy but it's not like anything in that match was really that original. People had been through tables before, people had been hit with chairs before. Hell even the spear from the top ladder was already done before in a regular two on two ladder match from fall of 2000.

Around the 5:50 mark if you want to see it.

My stupid meter is running high with you.

I could say the same thing about your un-originality

At the time of TLC II when it came to things like say all six men battling for the title belt on three ladders, or Jeff Hardy using the ladder as a ramp to leap to the outside, things like that were original and innovative which is what made the match good to begin with. What made it great was the stuff like the Spear, which was from a higher point, the amount of tables broken, the spills they took.

Last nights match was good, but it was not that good. It was a fun brawl with a couple good spots. But it isn't in TLC II's league.

It was the same height each time, the WM camera angle was just farther back making it look higher, mixed with the bigger WM audience, bigger reaction.

The rest I'll agree to disagree on, I came into the match not caring about four of the six people in it and left satisfied so I'll say it did it's job. Not a big deal if you didn't like as much as me.

Look both matches were fantastic but they were both hugely differant due to the inclusion of pinfalls in one.

The main point here(Pour moi anyways) is Bully Ray being pretty petty.

Yeah, just unnecessary really. Ray is doing tremendously well where he is, even somewhat managing to turn a poor story on paper into a watchable and most fans and wrestlers do respect the work he's done this last couple of years. Point being, he doesn't NEED to be trying to grab fame from the past, he's better now than he ever was.

What that doesn't include is him saying good luck to the guys in the match also.

Shocking that few people would listen.

Also really shocking that Bully and Devon, the two that didn't jump off the ladders, are the ones who aren't perpetually fucked up.

And if he weren't working for TNA, would we still look at this as though he were fame grabbing?

I fail to see what's so bad about what Bully's done here. If even one more of those three teams were on good terms with WWE, we'd be watching them in hype videos every five seconds to hype the danger of TLC. All Bully's doing is remembering something he was very much responsible for, and should feel proud about.

I just checked out the match. I really think The Amazing Dynamite spoiled it for me.

Fun match, nothing too great though.

SoM is quite right in pointing out that the dynamic of the matches are contrasting with one being essentially a ladder match with tables and chairs, and the other being basically a hardcore match restricted to three foreign objects.

If the TLC match from last night had something to climb for, then it would have been a totally different match, and viewed so as such.

Regarding Bully Ray, surely he's tweeting in character, and his character is supposed to be an arrogant dick, right?

Remembering is fine, but making a deliberate comment after 6 guys have gone out and delivered a hell of a match trying to shift the focus onto yourself is a bit cheap, Right sentiment, wrong time. That's all.

And if it was WWE pointing to those great matches, and highlighting how awesome they were, you'd have the same problem with it, right?

I didn't realize counting your blessings and reminding others what road their following was a bad thing.
