Quote the Raven, nevermore.
This is my first thread so be easy on me. Also I don't know where to put this so I put it here...

Ok so here's the deal. You have just bought WWE and TNA and you are now starting your very own Wrestling/Sports Entertainment company. You must list your top 10 picks for the Heavyweight/Mainevent, Mid-Card, Tag Team, and Women's divisions to draft to your roster from WWE/TNA. Explain why you chose everyone that you did. Here are my picks.

Heavyweights/Main Eventers:
AJ Styles-Best thing going for TNA and in my top 5 wrestlers ever.
Christian-Was great in the mainevent while in TNA.
Edge-Another great wrestler/maineventer. Good gimmick.
Jeff Hardy-He's one of the best out there and gets big pops.
John Cena-Get's huge pops and can be a locker Room Leader.
Matt Morgan-A big guy with alot of potential.
Mr. Anderson-One of the best mic workers in the biz.
Randy Orton-Top guy other then Cena in WWE. Great wrestler.
Samoa Joe-For his size he's fast and can wrestle good.
Sheamus-Another big guy with potential to be the top star eventually.

Mid-Carders:
CM Punk-One of the best wrestlers/mic workers in the biz. In my top 5.
Daniel Bryan-I'm not big on his look but he is great in the ring.
Dolph Ziggler-Good wrestler and has the look. Future big star.
Goldust-Great wrestler/gimmick. Can help get talent over.
John Morrison-Great wrestler and has the look.
Kaval-Great Wrestler. Puts on a great show.
Kaz-Puts on good matches and has a good look.
Kofi Kingston-He's over with the crowd and has a unique wrestling style.
The Miz-My current favourite. Great on mic. Build him more from here tho.
Zack Ryder-Probably the most underused guy ever. He's good!

Tag Teams:
Beer Money (James Storm & Robert Roode)-My favourite team and great together.

Hart Dynasty (DH Smith & Tyson Kidd)-WWE should never have split them up. They are made for tag team wrestling.

MCMG (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin)-One of the best tag teams today. High flyers and very talented.

Priceless/Legacy (Cody Rhodes & Ted Dibiase)-Pretty much the same case as Hart Dynasty.

British Invasion (Desmond Wolfe & Doug Williams)-These two never were a tag team but they could be one great tag team! Put them together for great technical matches.

Women:
Angelina Love-Best knockout in TNA.
Eve-Has a good look and is improving.
Kelly Kelly-Mostly eye-candy but is getting better in the ring.
Madison Rayne-Same as Kelly Kelly.
Maryse-One of the better women wrestlers.
Michelle McCool-My favourite diva. Great in the ring. Leader.
Mickie James-Great wrestler. Considered "Next Trish Stratus" at one point.
Natalya-Another good female wrestler.
Tara-A veteran in women's wrestling.
Velvet Sky-Same as Kelly Kelly/Madison Rayne.

Now I know this is lengthy but it gives everyone the oportunity to share their ideas in detail. Obviously there's room for more wrestlers but I just want the top 10 from each division. Thanks!

Kurt Angle - Best in ring competitor of all time.
Mr. Anderson - Best on the mic, in the world today.
CM Punk - Great heel.
Edge - Another great heel.
Christian - Extremley underrated wrestler.
AJ Styles - What he lacks for in mic skills, makes up for in in ring ability.
Sheamus - He's Irish.
Somoa Joe - Very unique look, great wrestler.
D'Angelo Dinero - Nearest thing to The Rock in wrestling today.
Randy Orton - Great worker.

Bryan Danielson - Nuff said.
The Undertaker - The only reason, he isn't in the ME is because he is so injury prone.
William Regal - Good in the ring and on the mic.
Kofi Kingston - Great high flyer.
Matt Morgan - Big guy, a lot of potential.
Jay Lethal - Great on the mic and in the ring, but needs a new gimmick, he seems very bland as of late.
Hernandez - Great Wrestler.
HHH - The Man.
Sting - Can still go.
Rob Van Dam - If this thread was made in 2006 he would be in my ME, but things change.

Beer Money -
MCMG - 2 of the best tag teams in the world.
Ink Inc -
Gen Me - 2 solid teams.
Hart Dynasty -
Legacy(without Orton) - Don't know why WWE broke both teams up.
The Hardyz -
Team 3D - 2 Legendary teams.
Miz & Morrison - I can understand why WWE broke them up, but I would like to see them back together.
British Invasion( Magnus and Williams) don't know why TNA broke them up.

Gail Kim -
Angelina Love -
Beth Phoenix -
Natalya -
Mickie James -
Tara -
Layla -
Michelle McCool -
Madison Rayne - 9 of the best women wrestlers between these 2 companys.
Maryse - Sexy.

Christy Hemme - interviews
Jeremy Borash - announcer
Jerry Lawler - color commentator
J.R - color commentator Ok he isn't with WWE anymore but this is the first time I mentioned someone not with one of these 2 companys.
Hulk Hogan - authority figure.

Heavyweights/Main-eventers
1. John Morrison- He would be my Heavyweight Champion. Has all the tools to draw crazy money given the proper booking.
2. The Undertaker- The biggest star and best talent in wrestling today
3. Samoa Joe- Great worker, great mic skills, great gimmick. Should be a household name.
4. CM Punk- One of the best wrestling psychologists I've ever seen.
5. The Pope- A champion in the making. Incredible gimmick and the perfect guy to pull it off.
6. "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson (f.k.a. Daniel Bryan)- Best worker in either company. Underrated mic skills and a gimmick that would get over huge with proper booking.
7. Nigel McGuiness (f.k.a. Desmond Wolfe)- British. He's a talent and everything, but the main reason I'm picking him is because he's British. Diversity is perhaps the most important part of a wrestling roster.
8. Big Show- I have a couple of big men on the roster but none that I would specifically want to market based on their size, so he's a great pick-up. He has the perfect gimmick now and it's really catching on.
9. Abyss- Not my favorite by any stretch of the imagination, but he's the only guy on either roster you can do "garbage" spots with. I think that's important.
10. Alberto del Rio- CMLL will always remember the day they lost Dos Caras, Jr. This guy is really, really, really good. Plus Morrison vs. Del Rio just has the ring of a historic match.

Mid-carders
1. Rey Misterio- He's a bit past his heyday but any junior heavyweight who is a legitimate threat to sell t-shirts can take a spot on my roster any day.
2. AJ Styles- See explanation for Misterio.
3. Amazing Red- He would be my Jr. Heavyweight Champion. Great talent that gets himself over every single night.
4. Kofi Kingston- His gimmick needs some cleaning up (why is he simultaneously from West Africa AND Jamaica?) but the highspots he can pull off make him worth the trouble.
5. "Dashing" Cody Rhodes- Huge talent with a good gimmick and the charisma to make it work. Great opponent for Red.
6. Yoshi Tatsu- I honestly think he's the only Asian or Asian-American on either roster, which is a serious commentary on just about everything in mainstream wrestling. Like I said before, I love me some diversity, so I'm definitely putting him on my roster.
7. Shark Boy- Yes, he is still technically on TNA's roster, believe it or not. Good worker and eye-catching gimmick? Gotta have him.
8. Kazarian- Boring, but I love his ring work. I need to make sure I've got plenty of workers on the roster.
9. Tyson Kidd- Love that he can be marketed as the next chapter of The Hart Family. He's at least decent in the ring.
10. Santino Marella- The kids love him, the grown-ups generally enjoy him, and The Internet seems to be at least ok with him. I'll give him a shot.

Tag Teams
1. Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) In reality the only reason I'm adding them to my roster is because they always make the sign for Michigan when they come out to the ring and I admire their state pride (jp of course). In all seriousness, they are the best tag team on either roster and maybe in all of wrestling right now. Sabin is great in the ring, but Shelley is no slouch either. Shelley is great on the mic, but Sabin is no slouch either. Definitely my tag team champions.
2. Beer Money (James Storm & Robert Roode) What a cool tag team. Pretty good in the ring, pretty good on the mic, pretty good gimmick. But the real reason I'm picking them is because they seem to be the last vestige of an Attitude-Era talent. Adult-oriented gimmick, catchphrases, and legitimately-entertaining matches that rely almost entirely on brawling, weapon spots, and signature moves.
3. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) (f.k.a. "Generation Me")- They are The Midnight Express to MCMG's Rock N' Roll Express. I've honestly never seen these guys have a bad match.
4. Edge & Christian- They were such a great tag team back in the day, and now that they've both had a chance to become established main-eventers, they would make an even better tag team.
5. The Fortunate Sons (Husky Harris & Ted Dibiase, Jr.) Am I really voluntarily putting Ted Dibiase, Jr. on my roster? The thing is, I love me some Husky Harris. But the only way to fit him into the roster is to put him in a tag team. He's far too big to be a jr. heavyweight. On the main-event side, there may not be room for him (I think it's important to never have two wrestlers doing the same thing on one roster. That's why Chris Jericho, Jay Lethal, Evan Bourne and other tremendous talents don't make this roster.) He's fat like Joe and tattooed and pierced like Punk. The only way for that to work, I think, is for his character to embody, as his body embodies, a perfect union of Joe and Punk's characters- the link between the two. That could work extremely well, but I think Husky's too green to pull that off just yet. So I'll stick him in a tag team for the time being. I chose Ted Dibiase, Jr. just because their dads were a great team together. I'd give them Ted's gimmick (rich kids) but allow Husky to continue being himself (a modern Dick Murdoch, essentially). This would give the team a Second City Saints-type effect as Ted's attempts to fashion the team as an elitist organization would constantly be thwarted by Husky's gregarity and rowdiness. As long as Husky does most of the talking AND most of the wrestling it should work well I think.

Women
1. Mickie James- smile and eyes
2. Katilyn- hair and face
3. Maryse- bust
4. Angelina Love- butt
5. SoCal Val- General redheadedness
6. Miss Tesmacher- sensuality
7. Layla- bust again
8. Melina- sexy ring entrance
9. Kelly Kelly- on-screen chemistry/potential for interesting storyline with Big Show
10. Michelle McCool- I think it's in The Undertaker's contract or something.
(No women's wrestling on my show, so there's no need to designate anyone women's champion.)

Other
Commissioner- Dusty Rhodes- I was watching TNA's first PPV (Victory Road '04) earlier today. Dusty cut a promo during the event. In the promo, he referred to the Internet as... the "crazy machine". I'm serious. Crazy machine. To not give this man a live mic once a week and just let him say whatever pops into his mind would be a crime. I'm no criminal.

Backstage Interviewer- Christy Hemme- Her charm and naivete pull off the patently ridiculous yet extremely necessary position of professional wrestling backstage interviewer very well. The flirtatious exchanges between she and whomever she happened to be interviewing were one of my favorite parts of Impact! before I stopped watching.

Ring Announcer- Jeremy Borash- I could honestly just as easily go with Justin Roberts talent-wise, but Borash is just such a cool guy and would likely make a great locker room presence.

Color Commentator- Matt Striker- Great talent. Knows his wrestling. The perfect guy to be in position to decide who gets pushed based on in-ring and who doesn't.

PBP Man- Josh Matthews- A little green, but he just keeps getting better. Tenay might be better at the moment, but I also like the chemistry between Striker and Matthews, and the idea of pushing youth with my commentary team.

Don West- Don West- I couldn't think of an exact job title for everything the man does, so I guess I'll just hire him to be himself. Of course I'd put him in charge of merchandise, but I think he can do more. I'd have him on my go-home shows hocking the PPV the same way he hocks t-shirts and DVDs. He'd announce the card and tout every match, same as the commentary team would normally do, with the only difference being his pitch would bring in at least 20% more buys.
