Bagwell is currently working on a book and hopes to have another 3 or 4 years in the business. He's also hoping to get a deal with WWE soon.

I personally would really like to see this. It's another blast from the past which unfortunately as a fan of nostalgia i enjoy. I can't see it getting in the way of newer talent and hopefully he will just be able to add a bit more star power to the mid-card (if it happens)

Buff Bagwell on Smackdown as a mid card in the US Title Division? Might work, might not.
He can feud with Finlay, MVP, maybe team with somebody, we'll see...

I was always a bit of a mark for Bagwell for some reason so therefore I'd like to see him on probably Smackdown. The question is, would WWE really be interested in bringing him in? He was around for a bit during the invasion but never really did that much other than getting beaten down by Austin and I believe Angle. If it happens he might be ok as a midcarder or maybe a mentor in one of the developmental divisions.

He competed in the "Nitro match" on Raw when he got beat up by Austin.

Apparently he had heat backstage and their was an incident with his hat which resulted in someone putting a hole through it, but I would like to see him in WWE nonetheless.

Buff was always one of the guys in the nWo, which is his only claim to fame. He was involved in a "Nitro match" on Raw (complete with the smaller 18 x 18 ring), but evidently he and Booker T stunk up the joint. I don't think it was ever aired
(I may be wrong). In the end, I don't think WWE is interested in him, anf if they are, it is only for his "name value". Buff will not be "The Stuff" in Stamford.

Let's keep everything in perspective. The wwe could do a lot worse than signing buff bagwell. I wouldn't mind a mid-card run for him but I would prefer they job him out crucially. Turn him into the modern day brooklyn brawler. Once everyone has beat him, send him packing.

As I recall...
He was chosen with Booker T to do the Nitro Match as Booker T defended the WCW Title. Buff refused to job, and ended up compromising for a no-contest by interference. They never used him again after that.

I remember reading the main site back then and reading things like "Wrestlers don't refuse to job in the WWF, it's just not what they do. At WCW, since wrestlers were given creative control, they constantly refused to job."

According to Wikipedia:
WCW was purchased by the World Wrestling Federation in March 2001, and Bagwell's contract was purchased by the WWF. On July 1, 2001 Bagwell faced Booker T at a house show, and he appeared on the July 2 episode of RAW is WAR, fighting Booker T for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. The match went to a no-contest after interference from Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kurt Angle. Bagwell was released from the WWF on July 9 following complaints about his attitude and an altercation with fellow WCW alumnus Shane Helms.

I doubt we'll ever be seeing Buff in a WWE ring, especially considering there is absolutely zero demand for him. He wasn't a huge star, and he acted like he was. Now hardly anyone remembers him. How are they going to package him? I don't really think they can in any way that's marketable. It's not like he was a Heavyweight Champ like Jericho. He was a mid-carder, and he got kicked out for thinking he was more than that.

The match with him and Booker-T did air (in England anyway, I don't know about anywhere else) I didn't think it was that bad to be honest. I would rather see Bagwell get air time anyday over the likes of Khali, Henry & Big Daddy V

I just found this on him from oww.com

Buff Bagwell signed with WWFe, and participated in the first WCW match on Monday Night Raw, Booker T vs Buff Bagwell..
~~~During the show, Bagwell was told NOT to wear his gimmick Top Hat during his promo, and he went ahead and did it anyway..
~~~When Bagwell showed up for Smackdown!, someone had punched a hole through the top hat..
The Feedback from Buff's match with Booker T was mostly bad, and Bagwell was given his release a few days later..

ok i'm going to say this but everyone pretend it sounds like the comic book guy from the Simpsons is saying it.

"Worst Gimic ever!!!" actually second worst if you cound Disco inferno haha.

Seriously how can you like a guy who's tag line is "I'm buff and I'm the stuff" that is soo retarted. Like the only thing that could be worst that that tag line would have to be "I'm good and I'll eat you like food" I mean come on what a dumb ass tag line, and if you think about it he wasn't even that fucking buff lol.

I think that signing Buff "The Stuff" Bagwell would be good on a short term basis, as was Scott Steiner, Goldberg, and other short term nostalgic figures. He could have a nice fued with MVP or any hel or face on the roster and put them over big time.

Only problem is that, in the past, Buff has shown a poor backstage attitude. The Stuff has acted as if he was full of "the stuff" , meaning that he was rather full of himself. And to be honest, he can not be completely blamed as he was in the very manipulative phase of WCW during jis foprmative years. At a time when Buff needed locker room leaders, he was surrounded by people with an every man for himself type of attitude.

I say that if Buff can show that these days are behind him, then it could very well be a marquee signing. Otherwise, WWE should not even touch "The Stuff" with a ten foot stick.

Bagwell was shit several years ago. Before he had one of the worst matches ever on Raw, and before Rick Steiner broke his neck. And without his physique he doesn't really have anything to offer. I suppose he has charisma. But he hasn't been in a big company for nearly 7 years. Nobody would give a shit.

Buff Bagwell, hahaha, who gives a shit about Buff the Stuff Bagwell. The guy hasn't been entertaining since his American Male days, and that was for all of the wrong reasons. He was terrible with Norton, and he was terribly in his singles run.

He had possibly, possibly the worst match in the history of Raw, and that includes some Jackie Gayda, Rosie vs. Donald, any match involving Jeff Hardy. The guy had a monster push custom made for him in the WWE, and he fucked it up.

Personally if I see buff on TV again, it will be too soon. The guy is terrible.
