Breathe Life into Two Careers

DethMetal

Best for (the Music) Business
Since I couldn't think of a better title..

Pretty basic thread. Take two guys who are currently doing next to nothing, and give them your own programs. The two wrestlers can be on either show. They could be a tag team, opponents, or doing something seperate all-together. It doesn't have to be wrestling. Hell, one of them could become a main event player, and the other could be running around like Chris Masters was in his final months. Whoever and whatever you can think of:). My two picks would be...

Curt Hawkins and Trent Barreta.

Once Cody moves on to bigger and better things, I would bring these guys up to Smackdown! and have them feud like hell over the Intercontinental title. I'm not talking about one title match at a pay-per-view and a rematch on Smackdown. I would put them in an actual, lengthy feud. From the work I've seen them do the few times I've watched Superstars, I think it would have the potential to be very good and exciting.

Name two superstars to put in some kind of a program.

What would you have both men doing?

I have to say there's some great irony in this thread being temporarily next to one on posthumous praise... I guess breathing life into careers only works if you're alive! :lmao:

I would love to see Tyler Rekks start a program with Triple H. I know it seems far above his pay-grade, but if the Game ever does return to wrestling on a more full-time basis I'd like to see him continue giving a huge rub to younger talents. Tyler Rekks is a very large, imposing man who can make for a convincing monster heel. I'd like to see an angle where Rekks attack the Game for "holding him back". Get retribution for all the time he's spent on Superstars and being kept off the real card. Triple H would play the "you have to earn it" card, and Rekks could source that the Game is in charge of day to day relations, and has been holding guys back for over a decade. It would be believable to me that Triple H was pushing down Rekks to make sure his position wasn't threatened, and I think the matches would be at the very least decent.

I also wouldn't terribly mind a Justin Gabriel heel turn, and a subsequent attack on somebody like Evan Bourne or a returning Rey Mysterio. Just something to get him, a great talent, something to work with so he doesn't stagnate completely and fall off the radar.

i'm not sure how you would build a fued with those guys towards the title, but i dont know much about them and i can hardly mock you for sharing an idea you like.

Now for my idea

Drew Mcintyre fued with Jindar Mahal(before i get abuse hear me out)

lets forget any Jindar vs Ted thing at the moment and the fact Drew is doing Nothing as this thread is about what people would like to see, not its likelyhood or what is currently happening with each superstar.

I think you have Jindat week after week mocking fans, building up a bit of hatred on the way to ring and beating the lower card with clean wins and some mid cards with dirty wins. have him cut regular promos where he says why he is better than everyone and they dont know it yet, being properly irritating and aggressive with it.

At the same time, but without linking them at all, have Drew losing because he has "lost his aggression" and have him backstage trying to work out how to get it back, week after week... loss loss, ponder ponder. Dejected interviews, talking his way through it to himself in dressing room but not working it out.

Eventually have Drew interrupt a promo Jindar does in the ring where he says the WWE is LUCKY to have him and that he is better than the whole locker room.

Drews music hits, no walk to the ring, sprinting, hair down, kendo stick in had, Screaming as he does "better than me are ya?" comes in and beats the hell outta jindar with the kendo stick, drags him to the commentator desk, puts him through that(maybe or not with his finisher or a re worked signature move) then returns to the ring with a mic... "i think i found my aggression again ladies and gentlemen!" then continues to talk about how his aggression went because he was not using it for the right reasons and without purpose(worded a bit better than that)... at this point Jindar is being carried away by staff, Drew rolls out mid sentence and hurls him into the side barrier... gets close and shouts "WOW THESE GUYS ARE LUCKY YOU REALLY PUT ON A SHOW" and leaves to his music.

you could use this to basically have him go on a face rampage against any heel who tries to give out abuse to fans or say they are "the best"

maybe even put him in a power tag with sheamus further down the line, have them fall out and fight for a title, or even just as a good event at a PPV.

oh and i am aware drew lacks mic skills just now, but dont shoot my idea down just because of his current "bermuda" situation, its lazy, this is just an idea i would love to see but will never happen

admittedly i will say it does nothing for jindar though haha
------------
EDIT(copy and paste from my computer failed)

You could have him play an aggressive face role that doesn't take crap from anyone and calls them out on it basically, where it is taken from there, well the possibilities would be endless.

I say Curt Hawkins and Tyson Kidd.

We haven't seen much mic work from them, but the times i have watched Superstars and NXT... i was impressed by their Mic work and In-Ring work.
They are both talented A'F.

Kidd graduated from the Hart dungeon, and Hawkins was trained by HBK. Put them in a TV feud on Smackdown! and use this as a base of their rivalry. That will boost both of them of, see if they can truly get over, and move them from the lower card into the mid-card.

OR Put them two, bring in Drew M. and Rekks and make a Mid-card Mafia!

Gonna remind you that they had a one off of this angle involving Kidd vs Daniel Bryan. Now, on to the real topic.

I'd have to pick Big Zeke vs Drew McIntyre. You could have Zeke win a match on Superstars before being attacked from behind with a chair or kendo stick by Drew, who then insults and taunts Zeke. A couple of weeks later, Drew wins a squash match and gets on the mic, taunting Zeke before Zeke's music hits, causing Drew to bounce, but then later finds out that Zeke didn't show. The next week, Drew wins a squash again and this time is attacked from behind by Zeke, leading to a match between the two. Seems like a good start, though I honestly don't have an idea what to do from there outside the standard best of three feud.

Name two superstars to put in some kind of a program. Johnny Curtis and Khali w/ Jinder Mahal.

What would you have both men doing? Have Johnny Curtis come out after a Khali match and applaud them; arrogantly. Curtis would try and prove that some loser of a monster doesn't deserve air time that he, a budding young superstar does. Neither of these two have gone anywhere in the last while and JC definitely has the skills with the stick to make up for the Indian behemoth. For the next few weeks, have Curtis distract Khali until things get heated. Then you go from there and see how things develop. Something like a HIAC or Cage match to end things. Imagine if Johnny went over? It would pretty much catapult him in terms of the proverbial ladder. I know some people really don't like one or the other (or both) but if you get over that hate? It would fill its purpose and you can't tell me the kid wouldn't at least gain a little popularity. Heck, right now, he's still fighting on NXT.
