KAYFABE EXPLANATION
WZCW Superstar Sam Smith was recently injured at a recent house show event whereby the injuries sustained will cause Smith to take time off indefinitely for surgery and a recovery process. The time Smith will be out has not yet been confirmed but the one certainty is that Smith will not be able to compete in the first round of the upcoming Gold Rush tournament against Mikey Stormrage, leaving one spot open in the tournament.
The WZCW Board of Directors have made the decision to give a second opportunity to those competitors who were "knocked out" of the random seedings another chance by allowing them to compete in a traditional Battle Royale where the winner will go on and face Mikey Stormrage, effectively taking Sam Smith's place in the tournament. Here are the confirmed participants for the Battle Royale:
Due to the possibility that competitors might be double or triple booked, the official WZCW cards may switch matches in-between shows at a later date to compensate for the over-booking.

Sam Smith will not be competing in the tournament due to Crock taking a hiatus. We'd like to thank Crock for everything he has done during his time with the fed and we'd love to see him come back soon.
Due to his absence, we now have a void left in the tournament that we need to correct. Out of all the possible solutions we discussed, the best option was to give everybody we knocked out of the tournament a second chance. We aren't creating a new match thread and nobody will be RPing twice - we will be using the RP you submit for your originally-booked match as the RP for this impromptu Battle Royale as well as the winner's RP to vote against Mikey Stormrage. For the sake of kayfabe as explained, nobody will be competing twice on the same show (excluding the winner of the Battle Royale) so we'll be moving the matches around the shows to create a better design. The matches will not change at all, just their location on the shows.
