Bound For Loneliness LD

....................THEY DID IT! THEY PICKED THE STUPIDEST THING THEY COULD HAVE DONE AND THEY ACTUALLY DID IT!

Well, that was interesting.

The PPV itself doesn't make me want to watch TNA regularly. It wasn't as bad as the BFG a couple years ago that killed my interest in TNA but there was nothing special about it. They had no big blow offs, they had no big time feel matches, match of the night was Roode/Lashley and even that was just good, nothing special though.

I like Matt Hardy but he shouldn't be World Champion anywhere. ROH literally did a joke where he was walking around with his own title because the idea of him being World Champion would "kill" the company and everything is stood for. I haven't been following TNA but I doubt there was a big run into him finally winning the title either, so I don't know why they did this which I guess is where TNA is most consistent, they leave you questioning what the fuck they are doing.

I think I just read a sentence that best sums this up.

There's a giant difference between someone deserving something (he absolutely does) and it being a good idea (it's absolutely not).

It's a good idea if this is the middle of March and TNA just signed a healthy contract that gives them a ton of money and a prime spot.

To recap, Tyrus is 42, Gail Kim and Bobby Roode are 38, Kurt Angle is 46 and Matt Hardy is 41. These people are the winners and therefore bigger stars of the company. That’s your future people. A bunch of people who got famous in WWE (save for Roode) and are probably in the twilights of their careers. Now they’re actually setting up what looks like Matt Hardy vs. Tyrus for a title shot. I mean……yeah I think that speaks for itself actually.

Perfect summary of TNA.

The average age for a winner tonight is 38. This is why TNA deserves to die. They just refuse to push young talent.

And to clarify there's nothing wrong with pushing old talent if they're the best option. Unfortunately that's just not the case here. Matt is a nostalgia act and not likely to move anything forward. TNA has lost the benefit of the doubt when it comes to this stuff and it feels like the same short sighted thinking over and over again.
