After all these years of watching TNA, I think I'm owed the "privilege" of posting this thread.

Why? 'Cos Sting is gon' retire (sorry; retaahhh) and AJ's gonna be left ontop the mountain.

Gone are the days of Sting coasting through TNA, turning up every now and then when somebody switches the lights off. Gone are the days of going home and not putting James Storm over.

I have no doubt that Sting will get his best match of the last decade out of AJ, although I'm doubtful that Sting will be able to give AJ that great match that we've all been waiting for. Shit, maybe he'll agree to bleed seeing as how it's his last match.

This should be an amazing match to see. Sting is arguably the best in the business and and A.J. Styles is a phenominal ( no pun intended) wrestler. This should be an incredible match and hopefully Sting will get a proper send off.

This match may not be great from a technical standpoint, but I bet the emotions behind it will make it a great match and amazing for everyone to see (since you know Sting is supposed to retire after it)). I see this match being a great sendoff for Sting, it should be a good solid match where the emotion factor itself will make it great (like HBK vs. Flair on a smaller scale).

AJ and Sting should put one hell of emotional match. If this is Sting's curtian call, I hope AJ and the fans will give him the sendoff he deserves. It'll be weird not seeing Sting win the title at BFG this year, but as long as him and AJ can put on a memrable match, I don't think it'll matter.

We all know AJ is walking out of this match with the belt, but the fact that Sting is on his way out should be reason enough to tune in and watch. As Sam said, AJ is going to put on the performance of a lifetime, but will Sting show up to perform? Will we see the Sting of old, flying around the ring, putting on a show like only he can? Or, will ge get the Sting of old age, barely making a Stinger Splash, messing up his on Deathlock, and barely leaving ringside under his own power? I'm hoping that we see a top notch performance from him, letting him go out in style.

If it is true that this is Sting's last match, I would love to see him win the Championship and retire as Champion. Which could set up a tournament to crown a new TNA Champion. A tournament is always a great way to estabish stars and create new fueds. Plus it gives a new champion credibility. If Styles wins and Sting retires it will feel like Flair-Michaels from Wrestle Mania. I hope TNA stays away from that. Give Sting the send off of an Icon & Legend of this Business!

This would a much bigger deal if Sting could still go in the ring, but the Sting of old is long gone and I doubt it will be the classic that Flair's "retirement" match was. This could be a much bigger deal for Styles's career if he were going against the former World Champion, Kurt Angle. I mean they could have a classic match at the biggest PPV on the TNA calendar, and if Kurt were to have lost clean it could really be the biggest night in AJ's career. With that said I'm sure Styles is going to pull out a decent match with Sting and it will be newsworthy with it being Sting's last match. And yes it will be a huge night for AJ by retiring Sting but I can only think that a bigger night for AJ would be to beat Angle at Bound for Glory, clean, in a classic for the World Championship.

I am hoping for a classic here. Really there could be no better sendoff then Sting giving his all in one last match. I will be buying this PPV for that very reason. AJ will win no doubt but this will be glorious.

UNLESS TNA is trying to swerve us again. lol. We all remember that Samoa Joe joined the Main Event Mafia...nothing is impossible anymore...

Im Joking... Lol

This will be the match of the night

Although the Morgan Angle match will be good too :)

Go the stinger, retire in glory.

I look forward to it.

I predicted this match would happen, except my prediction was that Sting would be coming in with the World Title and AJ would be winning it here. Anyways, this should hopefully be a spectacular match. On one hand you have the phenomenal AJ Styles who is considered by many to be the best in the world right now and on the other hand you have an icon in Sting. Although Sting is past his prime, the man can still go when he wants to so I have high expectations for this match.

As far as whom I think is going to win, I honestly want it to be AJ but with TNA, you never know. They already gave AJ the big win at No Surrender, and hopefully they give him an even bigger win by having him defeat Sting. I know Sting has his streak for BFG but honestly, is it really that big of a streak that it shouldn’t be broken? I don’t think so, so I think it would be great if they gave AJ a huge rub by having him break that streak.

I have high expectations for this match and I hope that they are able to deliver because I know that they are capable of doing so. The only thing I am not sure about is who is going to win, but if it’s not AJ, I will probably be very disappointed with TNA.

Well it looks like Stinger may not be retiring after all instead having a "retirement tour" of sorts with a sendoff and a culmination of said tour ending in Spring. I think he will get the belt one more time before he retires during this tour but not off of AJ and not at Bound for Glory. I think Sting will lose and it will make him realize he needs to step up his game to compete and he will go on a motivational run and get it one more time down the line. So heres to AJ Styles making Sting rethink his career like Sting did for AJ. Styles retains.

I'm hoping we get to see a great damn match here. Sting has coasted through TNA for years now, but perhaps now that his career may finally truly be coming to an end he'll decide to turn it on and try to put on a great match here with AJ. There's almost no doubt in my mind that AJ will retain, but knowing TNA, they might just throw a swerve at us and give Sting the win. If that were to happen, I'd be pissed at the incredibly stupidity of TNA. Sting should never have another world title belt around his waist again for what's left of his career, never. I'm hoping AJ gets the clean win here in a hard fought classic, and hopefully that's what we get.

I'm looking forward to this match, big time.

AJ Styles is headlining his first BFG as TNA Champion and Sting is undefeated at BFG so it's a very interesting encounter. I think all the previous years BFG main events have had some form of interference in the main event which is sad so i would like to see a clean finish in this years main event.

I would like Styles to win because he would be over if Sting lost to him kind of like a passing of the torch. Sting hasn't really made any new stars much like all the veterans apart from Angle. Sting needs to put over a young wrestler like AJ Styles.

I'd suggest a clean finish and "the rub" is essential if TNA is going to be taken seriously by the IWC and the mainstream. I'd go as so far in saying that having two singles matches at the top of the card is a great start.

This should be one of the matches of the year. I expect AJ to go all out with all his big moves and Sting to look strong and take him to the limit. The outcome is probably obvious but like HBK and Flair, there is no reason why we should expect a crackinig match alongside the great build.

Let's face it, A.J Styles is the man who can lead TNA into the future.

It's a pretty simple equation: Begin the ascent to the future and give A.J the much-deserved rub or stick in the past and give Sting, an out-of-his-depth lazy legend (How honest was it when last year Samoa Joe claimed that the young guys were the ones who worked house shows and spread the word while Sting was at Little League?) the World title that he doesn't need. Sting needs to escape with his pride and do the right thing rather then bury the company that has allowed him to cement his kids' trust fund.

Not to mention the fact that A.J in all likelihood will have to carry him to get a good match. But if anybody could do it, it's Styles.

Agree, their match at Turning Point last year was awful and they have two different styles of wrestling which will hinder AJ more so. I would be disappointed if Sting won because he is not good enough to be the TNA Champion on wrestling ability anymore. Sadly their is a spoiler from the cable companies promoting Turning Point saying that the champion will still walk out as champion so "way to go TNA!"

You'd think that this would be the match one would care about the most on the card but, to be honest, I'm not really all that interested in it.

Sting's a legend, no doubt about that. But, he's at a point in his life where not only does he need another world title reign, he also just shouldn't really have one. Sting's retirement at BFG has been rumored for months, but there's not been any confirmation about it from either Sting or TNA that I'm aware of. There's only been this ambiguous hint that he could POSSIBLY retire after his match at BFG. If he were to win tomorrow and retire, then I personally think the match is pointless and Styles, in my view, does lose some credibility on account of it. As I said, Sting's legacy is already secured and having him retire while TNA World Heavyweight Champion would only make Styles' run just another in a string of wasted reigns that've happened this year with yet another TNA title.

If Sting were to win the title but didn't retire, it'd still be the same with me as far as Styles' credibility goes. Styles losing isn't going to do him any favors. After the incredible match he had with Kurt Angle this past Thursday, this match just won't compete. As of right now, I just can't buy into Sting being anywhere near the same level of in-ring ability as either Angle or Styles, so having him go over AJ job is just going to bring his stock down.

Now, as for TNA's building up of this possible retirement, I have to say I'm not all that impressed. As I said earlier, TNA's mainly just advertised an ambiguous statement regarding it. If he does retire, then the emotional content just won't be nearly as high. We all knew that Flair was going to retire at WM24, it lasted a whole year and a half but Flair was at an age where it seemed it was really going to happen for good, but the emotion was just there. If Sting just suddenly announces his retirement, I have to say that I just won't really care all that much.

Regardless of his decision, the best thing to do, in my opinion, is for Sting to just lose at BFG. Having him lose it right back to Styles in a month and then retiring just holds no interest for me

This match hopefully is gonna be a classic, i can't remember Sting's last great match so hopefully he turns it up a notch and performs excellently if this is really his last match. AJ should most definetly retain and if he doesn't ill be so pissed off, Sting should not get another world title reign, plus it would hurt AJ, hopefully TNA wont be that stupid to let there best Face lose.

AJ should get the clean win in a great match that will prove AJ deserves to be champion, can't wait for this match really.

Honestly I been hyped for this match for months. I think these two will have a awesome match and I am hoping like everyone is saying that Aj Retains and then after that have some type of number 1 contender tournament for world title but not let the vets in it.

this match is not going 2 b that great stings 2 old a j does the same things all the time

I don't want to say I'm disappointed. I really don't. the match as a stand alone, was good. It told a good story, and both men had their chances to steal the spotlight. There was good sportsmanship, and even a sweet Pele kick on the apron. The ending was a bit sudden, but at least AJ got the win.

As part of the story they've had going, and adding in that this could possibly be Sting's last match, I was majorly let down. This was not a way to end a career. His post-match promo did a good job of hyping AJ, but no one was buying it. They just wanted to hear if he was coming back...

I will never believe in a Wrestler saying their actually retired or will do so, thank you Flair. I thought the match was Good but not Great, It seemed about 5 mins to short.

This match was a bit disappointing. Don't get me wrong, it was a good match, hell it was very good. I'd give it somewhere around 3.5/5 stars, but unfortunately I was expecting a match more along the lines of a 4.5/5 stars, so I was disappointed. There was a phenomenal exchange of reversals revolving around the Scorpion Death Drop that was really enjoyable, but the match just ended so abruptly. I mean...it just, ended. No big move, just a splash and a 3 count. Sting actually looked pretty weak in this match, which I like because it builds AJ up. But man, that ending just came out of nowhere and did not deliver for me.

Good match, but disappointing.

I was at Bound For Glory. Def was a good match with a weird ass ending. When it happened everyone looked at each other and expected a swerve or another match coming out. Overall it was still decent and how everything happened after that, made up for the match.

If this match was a WWE match where one wrestler was going to retire, this forum would be giving the WWE shit for the next year and a half. TNA gets a lot of extra margin for error to wrestling fans. This could have been the match that gave TNA everything it needed to fight w/ WWE.

Let's call a spade a spade. This match was average at best. AJ Styles is an amazing talent and Sting is a legend. If you were at all satisfied w/ the match, then you are delusional. I never felt as if the story was justified in the ring. The build up was good and I just can't say enough for both guys in the ring. The match just never even began to live up to the hype.

As for the finishing promo, it just goes to show how much Sting does for the business. The crowd was awesome. Sting wanted the spotlight to be on AJ and not himself. That is absolute class. It will be a sad day for wrestling when Sting finally calls it quits.
