Boondocks The videogame

Occasional Pre-Show
How many of us would love to see this become a really? Now if someone was going to make this game they would have to do it right. We all have seen videogames of popular shows turn into crap. ( Family guy) I see two possible ways to make this game #1 Make it into a Mortal kombat style fighter game. Just think of the characters and arenas they could use.We could finally see how the Uncle Ruckus and Huey fight would have turned out!!!!!! lol Or #2 Make it a Action adveture with Huey,Riley and Granddad being the only Playable characters and awesome final boss battles ( Uncle Ruckus for Huey, Butch magnet for Riley,Stinkmeiner for Granddad. ) Thoughts'

I personally love The Boondocks. Before it's move to the weekdays it was the only anime I watched on Adult Swim. Now with that being said I don't feel it should be a Kombatesque game. In fact do 1-on-1 games still do as well as they did when Tekken, MK, and Street Fighter did in the early 2000s? It could easily be a standard Adult Swim Game; the one on one is the same kind of settup that Bible Fight has.

I'd love to see that, but honestly with the kind of hype that could go into that I don't think it would be a great game. When do shows make great games anyways? People would nitpick and would ruin the experience for us with their over-analysis.

Guess it really depends on how much effort goes into the thing. Love The Boondocks but I think an adventure game would kinda water down the love I already have for it.

I would not play that game because I dislike the show. Why play something that is a video game recreation of a show/movie that I did not care for? That's been the case before. I don't like Avatar the last air bender, but people still tried to get me into video games based on it. I knew I wouldn't like it going in due to my dislike of the tv show. However, not everyone is affected by that type of issue. Gameplay can fix that. I like the original poster's ideas of making it a fighter game. You often can't go wrong with that. It could get accused of being a street fighter or mortal kombat knockoff, but it would generate interest from being about a popular show AND a genre we are familiar with. I would be much more interested in the fighting version than the action adventure version since the adventure one would resemble the show too much whereas it's easier to goof off and have fun with friends in the fighting one. That's just me though, those who enjoy the show would enjoy the adventure game idea better.
