Booker T is the TNA World Champion

Pretty lame booking if you ask me. If they wanted Booker as the champ, why couldnt they have just made him go over Samoa Joe cleanly?

I stopped watching after the six man tag, seeing as how it was the only match I was really interested in anyways, and even that I really didn't pay much attention to, completely turned of my stream when the Booker/Joe match started

It was an atrocious booking decision. It was obvious that the Houston crowd didn't realize it was a no contest. The announced it on air so it wasn't as confusing to us, but they just wanted the crowd to think that they let the hometown boy win the title.

And another thing, why was it that just because they were in Booker T's hometown, they had him play face and make Joe look like the heel? If this doesn't do anything in terms of a Samoa Joe heel turn or Booker T face turn, then it was completely idiotic.

I'm pretty sure the reason they did that was because they knew Joe would get boo'ed no matter what and Booker would be cheered. So why bother trying to go against the fans? The live atmosphere is what counts and it's not like they could edit out crowd reactions on a live broadcast.

I think they did it to continue the whole "You can't beat Booker T" thing with Joe and Nash. It'll be interesting to see where they go with it, now that Sting is back in the title hunt.

I think they did it to make Joe a tough guy again. Lots of people think Joe as a good guy champion was weak, and now Joe with more of a heel attitude will probably turn his championship reign around, and now we got Sting in Joe's sights and we got a possible Main Event for Genesis PPV, cause i think they got Joe vs Angle vs Styles set up for the TNA World heavyweight Tittle.

I think Jim Cornette will apply his authority much the way he did when Jeff Jarrett screwed his way to his last TNA Title win and Cornette held the Title up(to which I BELIEVE Jarrett won the title anyway but i'm not 100% sure).. It'll involve Samoa Joe, Booker T, and Sting. Kevin Nash will then either find his way in to the match(which should make all nostalgic WCW fans salivate and everyoneelse puke) or he'll get involved(because Joe HAS to win or a Joe/Nash feud becomes meaningless and boring).. In the end I think Samoa Joe remains TNA Champion and before the end of the year, if he didn't at Victory Road, Joe will turn heel realizing that he's a better asset to the company as a heel rather than a face.. A company just can't be put on Samoa Joe's shoulders and succeed, no matter how good of a wrestler he is.. His promos are humorous, and not in a good way, and his look doesn't scream "Money"... His World Title reign will last a few more months but in a year or two his reign will be remembered as largely uneventful.

Well you could kind of see this whole thing unfolding in the weeks leading up to the PPV. Every time you say Joe's interactions with Kevin Nash (a highly popular figure), He played a sort of heel type when he would address or have a back and forth with Nash. He's also very subtly played up the whole "paranoia" and obsession angle.

This may very well be the start of a heel turn for Samoa Joe as a cut throat character to face. It mirrors the character that he played when first came into TNA except that he is showing more emotion and is becoming a bonafied "do anything to keep his title" type. I think that TNA made a great decision with the ending last night as It helps Booker save face for a feud while also setting the stage for Samoa Joe to once again become the monster heel that he once was. I think that it helps move Joe over to a more serious side in order to eventually unseat Kurt Angle as the heel shoot character.

From what I've read Joe acted like a heel, but hasn't turned. Who cares if he got booed for one PPV. It's not like the reaction would be the same in Florida.
