I Heart Cena

Pre-Show Stalwart
Here are the rules:

1)Minimum 8 matches, maximum 12.

2)You can use any WWE Superstar from the history of the company. They had to have wrestled at least one match for them.

3)You must specify what year version of the wrestler. For example, 1975 Bruno Sammartino vs 2006 John Cena. You can't use a version of a wrestler when he was in another company. For example, only 1991-1993, 2001-2008 Ric Flair is allowed.

4)No double duty for wrestlers. They can only compete in 1 match. For example, if you use 1985 Hulk Hogan in one match, you CANNOT use 2002 Hogan in another match. And no wrestlers facing younger versions of themselves either.

5) You can book tag matches and any stipulations or gimmicks you want.

I'm not a fan of fantasy booking but I want 1997 Steve Austin vs 2006 John Cena to main event any Wrestlemania. This is the biggest match in my dreams. It will be a great draw. The match will be awesome and it will be great to see face of PG Era vs face of attitude era.

WWE United States Championship Title Fatal Four Way Flag match
Sgt. Slaughter vs. Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. The Patriot vs. Jack Swagger

like King Patrick, I won't give exact years since I don't feel like looking them up. just assume the guys I pick are from their primes either physically or in terms of their popularity, or both.

Demolition vs. Legion of Doom; Street Fight. this has always been a dream match for me that I don't remember happening, and certainly not on the Grandest Stage of All.

Women's Title: Trish Stratus, Lita, Victoria, Chyna, Beth Phoenix, Kharma, Nattie Neidhart & Charlotte; Scramble Match

Cruiserweight Title: Rey Mysterio, Tajiri, Eddie Guerrero, Billy Kidman, Dean Malenko, Hurricane; Six-Pack Challenge

Tag Team Titles: Edge & Christian, Hardy Boys, Dudley Boys; TLC Match

Hardcore Title: Crash, Hardcore Holly, Test, Tazz, Sabu, RVD, Rhyno, Big Boss Man, Al Snow, Steve Blackman; Battle Royal via Elimination

US Title: Sgt. Slaughter, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Patriot, Jack Swagger; Fatal Fourway -- I liked King Patrick's idea here. maybe make it a Flag Match?

World Title: Austin vs. Goldberg.

then I would do some other dream match ideas...

NWO vs. DX; Triple H and the New Age Outlaws vs. Syxx and the Outsiders

Jake the Snake vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Raven in a Triple Threat Match. think of the psychology and promos!

what about Big Show vs. Andre the Giant?

Flair vs. Orton in a Steel Cage Match. this actually did happen at a Taboo Tuesday and was pretty incredible.

Warrior vs. Savage is another match that I liked from Mania 7. keep it a Retirement Match.

I like the idea of a Piper vs. Regal contest since they're both such great talkers and ring psychologists.

Foley is one of my favorite wrestlers ever, so I'd want him on the card. just not sure with whom... maybe Vince McMahon? or Terry Funk?

Angle vs. Bryan. Bret vs. Owen.

Hogan vs. Rock vs. Cena in a combination of the Icon vs. Icon Matches.

Taker vs. HBK, which is my actual favorite match of all time.

this was way too hard a thread. I thought it would be easier, but there are way too many possibilities here. fun, but tough to narrow down. clearly.

1) Batista (2005) vs Ultimate Warrior (1990)

**Bob Backlund (1978) vs Bruno Sammartino (1963)

I'm gonna do more than just matches, I'm gonna book the show, winners and all!
Live from AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas- It's WrestleMania!

1) Ladder Match for the Cruiserweight Championship: 2002 Champion Rey Mysterio vs. 2004 Eddie Guerrero vs. 2001 Rob Van Dam vs. 2014 Adrian Neville vs. 2014 Sami Zayn vs. 2014 Tyson Kidd vs. 2004 Chavo Guerrero vs. 2009 Chris Jericho-
In what would be an insane spot fest to kick off the show, young up and comer Adrian Neville would steal the spotlight and hold the Title up high after everyone else was taken out by highspots.

2) 2012 Dolph Ziggler vs. 1990 Mr. Perfect w/ Bobby "The Brain" Heenan-
The #Heel and the Perfect one would wrestle off to prove who is the dominant showoff. Eventually, a well timed Perfect-Plex would help Curt Hennig prove why everyone calls him Perfect.

3) 2013 Bray Wyatt w/ Luke Harper and Erick Rowan vs. 1996 Mankind-
The mysterious Bray Wyatt and the deranged Mankind, after engaging in weeks of cryptic and nearly psychotic promos, would finally meet and beat the hell out of each other. Although Mankind would put forth a valiant effort, the outside interference and two Sister Abigail's would be too much for The Hardcore Legend to overcome.

4) 2000 Hardy Boyz vs. 1998 New Age Outlaws vs. 1986 British Bulldogs vs. 2001 Edge & Christian-
In a Four Corner Elimination Match, Edge and Christian would wait for their opportunity, and strike at the right time, last eliminating Matt & Jeff to win with a schoolboy and a little help from the ropes.

5) 1991 Ric Flair vs. 2010 John Cena
These two have been around the block. And while Cena has more than proven he belongs, it would take a second Attitude Adjustment and an STF for him to finally declare himself "The Man".

6) United State Championship: Champion 2003 Kurt Angle vs. 1997 Bret Hart-
The Olympic Hero would fight valiantly to defend his championship, and his country. But when he went for his third Ankle lock, the anti-American Bret Hart would sneak a roll up to win the match, and the championship.

7) World Tag Team Championship: Champions 1991 Legion of Doom vs. 2001 Dudley Boyz- No tables. Just a brawl. The two greatest tag teams of all time would meet for dominance. In the battle of the Doomsday Device against the 3D, it would be the Road Warriors walking away saying "Ooooohhhhhh What A Rush!"

8) Street Fight: 1988 Randy Savage vs. 2001 Triple H- When The Game met the Macho Man, it would be a brawl for the ages, as two men continually attempted to one up the others toughness and intelligence. In the end, as Miss Elizabeth would run down from her isolation in the back to check on her man, she would be met but a sledgehammer wielding Cerebral Assassin. The threat to his woman would drive Savage into a frenzy, and the uncontrollable beating that would follow would end with an Elbow Drop through a table!

9) Intercontinental Championship- 2009 Shawn Michaels vs. 2013 Daniel Bryan-
The Intercontinental Championship has a long history of classic WrestleMania title matches, and this teacher vs. student battle would be no exception. Although Shawn is at the top of his game, there is no stopping the momentum of the Yes Movement once Daniel Bryan finds his moment, countering the Sweet Chin Music in to a running knee.

10) 2013 The Shield vs. 2002 New World Order
The Shield wants to bring justice to the WWE. The nWo wants to bring chaos. After an all out, wild showdown, a spear to Hollywood Hogan and a Triple Powerbomb to The Bad Guy would allow the Hounds of Justice to declare themselves the most unstoppable group in history.

11) World Heavyweight Championship- Champion 2003 The Rock vs. 2008 The Undertaker- the Great One defending his championship, the Dead Man defending his streak. In a battle of the all time greats, the Phenom would use his patented Tombstone to claim victory on the Grandest Stage of them All once again.

12) WWE Championship- Champion 2011 CM Punk vs. 1998 Stone Cold Steve Austin-
The trash talking would be on another level. This may be the most epic confrontation of all time given the build. After a long, exhaustive battle, the crowd would reach a fever pitch. Punk would counter a Stunner in to a GTS for 2. He goes for a final GTS, but instead Austin connects with the Stunner and the Texas Rattlesnake would get his hands raised at the end of the day.

11 Streak Match: Andre the Giant 1990 vs The Undertaker 1991
12 World Title Match: Stone Cold Steve Austin 1998 vs Hollywood Hulk Hogan 2002

Steve Austin vs John Cena. Austin being the anti-hero and Cena being the clean-cut, hero. The promo's would be fascinating and, despite being heel, Austin would garner the greater reactions. A superb contrast in characters and how to perform as a top guy.

Shawn Michaels (either error, tbh, but mid 90's is fine) vs The Rock (as the babyface during the late 90's/early 2000's.) A massive dream match of mine. It's a shame this never happened because it would be incredible to see. It could be emotional, comedic, serious, dramatic, realistic and everything in between. Plus the match would be exceptional.

Hulk Hogan (80's) vs Brock Lesnar (2015). This is obvious at it gets. Brock and a rampage (with Heyman by his side) with Hogan the only man that can beat him.

Randy Savage (80's/90's) vs Chris Jericho. Firstly, this match would be 5 star, no doubt. Secondly, I think both have tremendous versatility. Either could be face. Both could be the heel and in the case of Savage he could do a bit of both. Throw in Elizabeth too.

Ric Flair (80's) vs Randy Orton. I like the idea of Orton being a psycho and feuding with the Horseman, with the aim of getting to Flair. Since it's Wrestlemania, he could just kick the shit out of Mr Perfect a few times.

Bret Hart vs CM Punk. Punk, when a bad-guy, and at is best was just so good and indeed controversial. Hart as a babyface was very clean-cut and traditional. The contrast would be fantastic, plus the whole best in the world thing. A match between these two would be another potentially 5-star match.

Bray v Mankind/Mick Foley. Sure, Bray isn't at any of these guys level but Bray trying to take Dude Love or the jolly Mick Foley and feuding with him to the extent he turns into Cactus Jack or Mankind would be magical.

Can't think of anything for Triple H. Taker/Piper in a fantasy world would be interesting. I really like the idea of Benoit and The Undertaker and see how they would go about the match. Steamboat v Eddie is another.

This is a tough one here. I'll do my best.....

I've gotta say this is the best WM card I've seen posted. That Money in the Bank Match is pure genius!

When I think of the ultimate WrestleMania, I'm not jsut looking at dream matches, I'm looking at dream angles as well. What matches could deliver an amazing build and then live up to the hype. Wrestling is about storytelling so you want matches where a great story can be told. Another key aspect to any great wrestling show is variety, you want brawls, fast-paced matches, epic confrontations, different match types, something for everybody. So that's also what I tried to deliver. This isn't a full card, but some of the matches I would book for sure.

Stone Cold Steve Austin (1998) vs. Hulk Hogan (1985)
The greatest main event of all time. The two biggest stars ever in the biggest match ever. No further explanation needed.

Vince McMahon (2003) vs. Bret Hart (1998) in an "I Quit" Match
It doesn't get much more personal than this. Not a wrestling match, but basically a fight, and most likely a bloody one. Vince had great brawls with the likes of Austin, Hogan and the Undertaker, if he were to face a healthy Bret Hart is would be amazing, especially given all the built-up animosity. Obviously the angle would play off of the Montreal screwjob and I think an "I Quit" Match would be a fitting choice since Bret never gave up when Vince called for the bell in Montreal.

Undertaker (2010) vs. John Cena (2010)
One of the biggest missed opportunities ever. John Cena, as the established face of WWE, challenging the Streak. For this match to work, we need to older Undertaker who has reached legendary status with the Streak. Cena has nothing left to prove, he has done everything there is in the wrestling business, except end the Streak. He would be a credible threat given his tendancy to overcome the odds and win big matches, and he would have nuclear heat if he were to go agaisnt Taker at WrestleMania. Especially when he goes over.

Kurt Angle (2003) vs. Daniel Bryan (2014)
A pure wrestling classic for the more technically minded wrestling fans out there, but still a match between two larger than life personalities. Bryan is the everyman, the underdog that has connected with the audience in a way few ever have. Kurt Angle is an excellent heel, a well rounded performer who can draw heat on the mic and deliver in the ring. So as much as I like this match from purely a wrestling standpoint, you'd get a great build-up to it as well.

Shawn Michaels (1997) vs. Mick Foley (1998) in a Hell in a Cell Match
Yeah so this would definitely not be a pure wrestling classic, but it would be a fucking war. To this day the two best Hell in a Cell matches ever were the very first one with HBK and Taker, and the one between Foley and Taker at KOTR 98. So I decided to put HBK against Foley inside the Cell. These two have only ever really faced each other in any way, shape or form one time ever to the best of my knowledge and it was a great match. You put them in the Cell, which is a match they both made famous, and I think it would easily be the greatest Hell in a Cell Match of all time. The clash of personalities also works, because HBK is the pretty boy and Mick Foley is the complete opposite.

The Rock (2000) vs. Macho Man Randy Savage (1989)
Two of the best overall performers in the history of wrestling. The People's Elbow vs. the Flying Elbow. Not only would they deliver a great match but the war of words leading up to it would probably be the best ever. The Rock would be the babyface and Savage the heel, and I can only imagine the things Rock would say about Miss Elizabeth.

CM Punk (2015) vs. Triple H (2015) in an Unsanctioned Fight
Like Bret/Vince, this is all about the angle. Granted, both of these guys are great wrestlers so the match would be awesome, but the legitimate heat between them and the controversial way in which Punk left the company are what sells this match and makes it a must see event. I went with the Unsanctioned Fight gimmick because it fits the storyline perfectly. It's a fight with no rules, where anything goes, and the company has completely absolved itself of responsibility for what happens to either of the competitors. I would imagine a scenario where Punk only returns for one match, to beat the hell out of Triple H, and so he wouldn't actually be under contract with WWE, leading to the Unsanctioned Fight stip.

The Road Warriors (1990) vs. The Dudley Boyz (2001)
The two best tag-team ever, in their prime, facing off against one another. It's the ultimate tag-team match and another no brainer to book.

My Card {without specific years - all the wrestlers that are used will be in their prime}:

1.Edge and Christian {C} vs The Hardy Boyz vs The Dudley Boyz vs The Usos vs The Legion Of Doom vs Demolition vs The New Age Outlaws- Tag Team Turmoil match for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

2.Randy Orton vs Mick Foley - Hardcore Match.

3.The Fabulous Freebirds vs The Four Horseman vs The Kliq {Triple H & Shawn Michaels & Kevin Nash & Scott Hall} vs The Shield {Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns} and Randy Orton- Four Teams War Elimination Match.

4.Daniel Bryan vs Kurt Angle vs Bret Hart - Triple Threat Submission Match

5.Andre The Giant vs The Big Show - Singles Match.

6.Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar vs Batista - Triple Threat Match.

7. Trish Stratus vs Lita vs Mae Young vs The Fabulous Moolah {C} - Four Way Match for the WWE Women's Championship.

8.Jake The Snake Roberts vs Bray Wyatt - No Holds Barred Match.

9.The Ultimate Warrior vs The Rock vs Bruno Sammartino - with Mr. McMahon as the Special Guest Referee.

10.The Undertaker vs John Cena - Buried Alive Match.

11.Macho Man Randy Savage {C} vs Cm Punk - Two Out Of Three Falls Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

12.Stone Cold Steve Austin {C} vs Hulk Hogan - WWF Title.

{*} - If I had the option to go with 2 more matches I would have added a fatal 4 way between Jericho & Steamboat & Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero and a match between Chris Jericho and Mr. Perfect.

Main Event: 2011 Cena vs. 1989 Hogan. Cena would be forced carry Hogan most of the match, but the finisher would have been epic.

Lower the cages, it's time for War Games
1987 Four Horsemen (Ole, Arn, Tully, and Flair) vs. 1997 Hart Foundation (Neidhart, Bulldog, Owen, and Bret)
Great heat leading into this match. Hart telling Flair how he's what's wrong with greedy America and Flair telling Hart how much more he's worth. Flair wraps Hart up in the Figure Four who turns it over and into a Sharpshooter making Flair tap.

Icon vs. Icon
1994 Sting vs. 1996 HBK
I think this match could easily steal the show. The spots and even flow of this match would be epic.

Nepotism match
2002 Jeff Jarrett vs. 2002 HHH
For snark. Of course HHH has slept his way to the top by 2002. At this point, Jarrett had buddied with Russo to become WCW Champion, WWA Championship, NWA Championship and basically gave himself the TNA belt. Both of these guys are good wrestlers in the ring and microphone, but never as good they thought they were or as big as they should have been in their respected promotions. Hart stated he thought Hunter was good, but that HHH has never had a great match in his entire career that he will ever be able to hang his legacy on.

Viper vs. Crippler
04 Benoit vs. 2011 Orton
I realize they wrestled back in 2004 but Orton hadn't developed his style the way he had at this point. The match would have been very aggressive and entertaining.

Hardcore Grudge Match
1998 Austin vs. Sandman 1997
I'll catch flack for this and that's fine. I realize Sandman has never been on Austin's level. However, the heat that would be generated from this match prior between these two would be great. Furthermore, a hardcore match have kept Sandman in the game in terms of crowd interest versus a straight match. Obviously Austin goes over.

IC Title Ladder Match
RVD vs Sabu vs Matt Hardy
Pure Gold

US Championship Match
Angle vs. Vader

Tag Team Championship Match
89 LOD vs. 97 Hall and Nash

My fantasy Wrestlemania would be 5 hours, just like Wrestlemania XX was.

Owen Hart & The British Bulldog (1996) vs. Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho (2001)

2. WWE Intercontinental Championship
Daniel Bryan (2011) vs. Ricky Steamboat (1987)

3. Elimination Tables Match
The Legion Of Doom (1991) vs. The Dudley Boyz (2000)

4. RKO vs. The Diamond Cutter
Randy Orton (2012) vs. DDP (2001)

5. 4-Way Ladder Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship
Edge & Christian (2001) vs The Hardy Boyz (2001) vs. Rob Van Dam & Sabu (2006) vs. Rey Mysterio & Eddie Guerrero (2005)
