I have a feeling this is just some sick fuck not some movement by some terrorist group. I just hope they get whoever did thid quickly and deal with this person accordingly.

That's just how society is now. One of the first thoughts in my head was false flag too, but that really should be the last facet of reason one should use. Look at the circumstances, it is just a nut trying to 'make a name' for himself. Not the government trying to take your rights.

The major phone companies are denying that they received a shut-down order, although it would be entirely understandable and is common practice in shittier parts of the world that have this happen on a regular basis. It appears to be a congestion issue, which isn't too surprising; demand on the cell networks, already high from the marathon, must have spiked.

Which, of course, is no consolation when you aren't getting responses to your texts.

Assumptions are speculation, not indoctrination. I'd look the term up before throwing it around more. If you looked around this thread, you'ld see we did the exact same thing. Shocky and I essentially said "likely Islamic radicals", while most others assumed domestic. How is that different from the media, who has access to far more information then us, making similar assumptions? Either way, it was an act of terrorism. Isn't that what truly matters? People are dead.

You have a point about the First Amendment bit, but it's a very, very fundamental and basic one that most of us grab en passant going through high school.
