Best Superstar ever

In ring skills = Ric Flair
In Mic Skills = The Rock
In draw money = Hulk Hogan
In best gimmick = Stone Cold

i think it would between the 4 just mentioned with the rock, ric flair, stone cold and hulk hogan. i really cant pick a winner out of those 4 but if i was i would pick hogan just becasue he brought the wwe to the world and drew so much money for them

Without a doubt the best Superstar of all time is Stone Cold Steve Austin. He made the most money, was the most over during the hottest time in pro-wrestling history and is a household name.
Stone Cold Steve Austin is first
Hulk Hogan is second
Rock is the third
Flair is the fourth
Andre the Giant is the fifth
All based on money earned and notoriety.

my personal favorite is sting
but besides that, stone cold, hulk hogan, the rock, flair all deserve props as some of the top guys in the order that andremt9 said.
also, as a side note, rvd and taker just rock and have been incredible influences to wrestling for years
so any of those guys IMO can be considered the best ever

I'm not saying he is the best, but Bret Hart's name should be thrown into the discussion. He is one of the best in ring performers ever. He could sell himself, make others look guy and for a smaller guy, he could make it with the bigger guys. And in my opinion Bret Hart helped make Steve Austin who he is today. But Hogan is my top choice, followed by Flair, Austin, then Hart, with Undertaker being 5th.

Look up Foth when he gets back...you two should hang out.

SUPERSTAR = Stone Cold Steve Austin

-Revolutionized the anti-hero role in professional wrestling, and in doing so, he (along with Vince) singlehandedly turned the tide against the super conglomerate that was WCW. There is NO reason that WCW should have lost the ratings war with the money they had and the talent they possessed. They just happened to let the guy who mattered the most go, and WWF capitalized. He was also the reason I became a wrestling fan.

WRESTLER = Flair

-Best of all time. So fluid in the ring...it was like a dance.

Honestly...my vote goes to "Stone Cold."

Why? Because he revolutionized the sport, as I don't need to remind any of you. Steve Austin pretty much single-handedly saved the WWF, and brought in the next boom period for years to come. Austin made the WWF more money in less than time than ever thought imaginable. Not only that, but the man has been apart of some of the most important, most entertaining, and most memorable moments in the history of professional wrestling.

"Stone Cold" is the greatest all-around wrestler that ever lived.

Honorable mentions go to:
Ric Flair
The Rock
Hulk Hogan, though I hate to admit it.
Bret Hart

Bret Hart. Best technically and awesome as a heel and a face.

Hogan, The Rock, Stone Cold and Angle deserve mentions. Dont rate Flair too much. Same match over and over.

If anyone answers this seriously and doesn't say Hulk Hogan then you're either too young to have seen Hogan in his prime or are mistaking superstar with best wrestler. Hogan was not the best wrestler in the ring but in professional wrestling history there is no bigger superstar, legend, icon, immortal, whatever word you want to use.

Hulk Hogan is definitely the biggest superstar that wrestling has ever seen and probably will ever see. There's no doubt that that's a fact. Although I personally find people such as SCSA and the Rock more entertaining, and such people as Bret Hart and Ric Flair as better wrestlers, no one can match the Hulkster's notoriety and legendary status.

The man who oozes Machismo, Rrrrazor Rrramon. More Charisma than any of those listed above.
Stone Cold would be a close second.

hulk hogan by far without him there would be no wwe he put wrestling on the map even though he couldnt wrestle for shit he still bassiclly made it

The person I think deserves a mention and I'm surprised he hasn't been mentioned already is.....Shawn Michaels (The Rock is my favorite wrestler of all time for note, in case any bias or anything appears to be in my post).

Firstly lets take his 'wrestling' ability. Shawn was and still is one of the greatest ever to graze this planet. Personally I could watch him wrestling all day long. From the first Raw to the current Raw he is still putting on consistently brilliant matches. To be honest, I can never remember a Shawn Michaels match where I have went.....that sucked. Because whether he was wrestling Bret Hart or Hulk Hogan. He brought such an outstanding element to the table that it had to be good. I'm going to quote Chris Jericho when he said "Hulk Hogans greatest ever match was against Shawn Michaels but that was because Shawn Michaels made him look good". I'm sure we all remember that Summerslam match. Michaels was outstanding. Why Hogan couldn't be man enough to pass on the torch as such is beyond me.

Also Mr Wrestlemania has to have a shout for greatest of all time surely. For me Wrestlemania 24 featured the 2 greatest of all time in the same match.

Shawn Michaels and woooooooo Ric Flair :flair:

On to microphone ability now and I think my favorite guy of all time The Rock wins it, with Chris Jericho second but that aside, my argument for Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels has had some unbelievable promos. You can tell how much he studied Ric Flair as a kid. Some of his stuff with Bret Hart, part of Degeneration X, Austin featuring Mic Tyson and of course who remembers his impression of Hulk on Larry King? Amazing, whether it be humorous or serious, hes outstanding at it.

As an all round money making machine. I think its safe to say that Shawn Michaels has made that company tens of millions of dollars if not more in his tenure with the WWE. Shawn Michaels was selling out WWE arenas when WCW where kicking Raws ass in the ratings. Triple H was quoted as saying "Thanks to Shawn we where winning the war on the street". When WCW could barely get 5000 for a TV Taping. WWE was getting tens of thousands. This was ofcourse when he was WWF Champion and back in the 90's people gave a rats ass who the champion was. They where always the main event.

Lastly, Shawn Michaels loyalty! Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Randy Savage, Lex Luger amongst others all chased money......Shawn Michaels loved(S) wrestling. He could have jumped ship but his heart was in the business and not in his bank balance. You look at the likes of Hogan who USE this business as away of filling their pockets, there not in it for the fans otherwise we would have seen more dream matches of there years. Hogan versus Austin comes to mind. Hogan was quoted as saying no, then someone asked him, if Vince offered you $10million dollars, he said its definently worth thinking about....how much do Hulkamaniacs really mean to him......not as much as $10million anyways. I know this sounds like a dig at Hogan and honestly it isn't. Hogan put the business on the map but Christopher Columbus put America on the map when he discovered it. Doesn't mean he is regarded as the best navigator of all time(sorry I know its a bad example but I hope you see my point).

I know guys like Austin, The Rock amongst others are rightfully up there but I think those guys conquered a generation. An unbelievable era in wrestling history, however, I feel for money made, in ring ability, charisma, mic ability, loyalty and all round watchability that Shawn Michaels should be regarded as a possible candidate as the greatest of all time!

In my view....MICHAELS is > than :hogan:

the road warriors.....80's version...i remember being scared of them. .If they can that type of reaction out a fan then thats super star material..

the rock. he had like the full package. He had much more entertaining promos, his in ring style hyped up the crowd or pissed them off due to his cockyness...and plus his matches weren't bullshit...they were more than average matches that people really remember..>

it's gotta be the rock...

for the time being.
