Basically just name which ppv so far has been the best. Make sure you state why it was the best and include details in your explanation. Just decide which one has been the best all around this year.

I have to say it is WrestleMania 26.

It wasn't the best WrestleMania but the best ppv of the year so far.

The build for the main event was huge, The Streak vs. Career. Even though I didn't think it was a great main event, it was however the most anticipated of all time, IMO.

The Championship matches were ok. Sheamus and Triple H was pretty good. I thought the CM Punk and Rey Mysterio match was decent but it did indeed let me down. The Money in the bank was a typical entertaining ladder match that I did enjoy.

The tag match between Show Miz and Truth and Morrison was absolutely terrible and only lasted like 5 minutes. Vince and Brett was terrible. The divas match was a typical divas match.

WWE's ppvs get worst and worst each year. They are nothing compared to the ones back in the early part of the decade.

I think WrestleMania was the best all around show this year and I explained why so what are your thoughts?

I think this has been a generally poor year for PPVs, and I don't know if this thread is limited to WWE events, but I'm going to go with a TNA event. The only PPV that truly stands out to me this year is TNA's Lockdown. AJ vs Pope was a decent match for the TNA World Title, the Team Hogan vs Team Flair match was solid, although not spectacular. But really, the reason I'm choosing this PPV is 1 match-Angle vs Anderson. Match of the year, feud of the year. I know HBK vs Undertaker will likely win the match of the year awards due to the circumstances surrounding it. As a huge HBK fan, I can understand that. But if you look at the 2 matches just based on the in-ring action, I have to put Angle/Anderson as the match of the year. It's the one match from this year I actually remember & would want to watch over & over again. So, for that match, I have to go with Lockdown.

My interest in WWE ppvs died this year as i'm in Australia and i don't have pay tv (it works different over here, don't judge) but i've still seen most of them. i liked over the limit. i know it had some shitty reviews, but i liked all matches except for the WHC match, Divas match and rtruth vs dibiase. maybe my expectations have dropped though.

I might be in the minority here, but I thought the Money in the bank PPV was a very good show.

You had 2 very entertaining MITB ladder matches, both had they're strong points but I thought the Smackdown one was slightly better.

You also had Jack swagger vs Rey mysterio for the WHC which I thought was a very underrated match, After the match is where Kane cashed in his MITB and became World heavyweight champion.

The Tag match was decent, The Main event cage match had some good stuff. The Only thing I didn't care for was of course the Divas match.

Very good PPV in my opinion.

Of course its going to be Wrestlemania....Wrestlemania better be the best PPV WWE puts on every year or something is wrong.

As for the other ones, I feel NOC was the second best. Now I thought it couldve been plenty better but I've felt that way about everything the WWE has done the past year or so. I really liked the Miz/Bryan match and I also enjoyed the tag team turmoil match...Big Show/Punk sucked the divas are divas but at least I got to look at all of them. The six pack challenge was as expected...I wish Sheamus wouldve won but I was entertained none the less. None of the PPVs were anywhere near as good as Wrestlemania was...actually most of them kinda sucked :/

Yea honestly I'd have to say wrestlemania I mean it was all around good the main events did not disappoint the only two matches i didn't like we're the divas and bret and vince but it was funny to see that. Cm punk and rey mysterio if the match was about 10 minutes longer It would've been better. The edge and chris jericho match was perfect they put on a good match to enjoy especially the end. Batista and cena should've played more into character like batista would use the belt or low blows. Undertaker and hbk was not as good as the first one but I still loved every minute of that one it was great especially the last tombstone.

Elimination Chamber, I'd say. Both of the chamber matches were solid, the Smackdown verison more so. One of the better matches of the entire year. Miz/MVP was actually pretty decent and they didn't waste our time with too much other stuff.

More importantly, stuff actually happened on the PPV. Significant things, that is. Cena reclaiming the title only for Batista to come out of nowhere and win it, which was a pretty sweet moment. Obviously the main event as well, with HBK appearing out of nowhere. Surprisingly exciting.

Sure, Wrestlemania was pretty good, the last two matches were excellent in my book. But there's too much mediocre garabage in there as well with Bret/Vince, Diva's, pointless tag match, underwhelming Rey/Punk match, etc. Still, a pretty good show.

I actually don't think wrestlemania was the best pay perview. I think it was a toss up between Money In The Bank and Elimination chamber. Well for Elimination chamber which I attended we had a good match between MVP and The Miz which could've been a good fued if it was longer. Then we had the Raw elimination chamber we had John Cena win and I was pissed because I wanted triple h to win but then Batista came out and took his title so I was real happy about that. Then the smackdown Elimination chamber was good with John Morrison making the best performance in my opinion. Then Money In The Bank what really made the show good for me was Smackdowns money in the bank with Kane winning which I was real happy about. Then Jack Swagger vs. Rey Mysterio in a really good match thnen Kane came out and won the title and I was really happy about that. Then the Raw money in the bank that the Miz won and I was happy about that. So those pay per views made me the happiest and those are the ones that I liked the best.

This year no doubt has been bad for WWE ppv's, Over the Limit, Money in the Bank, Extreme rules and others haven't worked that good, and the ppv buys as long as I know have been pretty darn poor.

But in a bad year for ppv's, I will pick ELIMINATION CHAMBER 2010, it was a very good show, the 2 chambers were very good matches, exciting entrances by the superstars and if you add HBK appearing at the end to continue his awesome storyline with taker, then good matches to fill like miz/mvp, Kane and McIntyre, it gets even better.

It's kinda a 3-way tie for me...They wern't the best..but have stood out for me this year!

WrestleMania vs Elimination Chamber vs Money in the Bank..

WrestleMania
This had some good builds and of course it will have because its the main ppv of the year!! Streak vs Career is why this event was good..

Elimination Chamber
The chamber matches were again solid, the fillers were bullshit although I enjoyed Miz vs MVP, other than that, I enjoyed the Smackdown EC match the most..

Money in the Bank
The Smackdown MitB match does it for me..and is the sole reason why this is my pick so far...The match had the best build up..it had kane still wanting to know who attacked his brother, Big Show with his problems of climbing a normal ladder, and lets be honest, it had a lot more spots than the Raw match!! JoMo was off the chain in this match!!

I still however think there will be a good ppv coming up..Maybe Bragging Rights! last years was really good IMO, so this year should be better and also TLC..I can't wait to see what they pull for that ppv.

I really enjoyed MITB, that was a personal favourite PPV so far. It was unpredictable in some respect (Kane winning, we wanted it for years and got it, Miz winning as well, who was a dark horse of mine to win), and Kane cashing in post-WHC Match was incredible, I was legit shocked when I saw what I saw. Although Nexus intervining during the main event was predictable it was still a strong show they put on.

Another, which to be honest give or take a few were predictable, which I enjoyed was Night Of Champions. Divas match was better than expected, but Melina and McCool can put on a good match so it was expected, tag team turmoil I think could've went on longer, nice to see Usos actually looking decent. Kane vs. Taker was plain awesome, the spots we seen (Taker diving over the barricade like he was John Morrison was just, wow) Ziggler vs. Kingston was a good opener with Ziggler 'silencing the critics' by finally beating Kingston clean, and the main event was predictable for the outcome but great nonetheless seeing Orton win the Title. But match of the night for me was Miz vs. Danielson, Miz pulled out a few new moves out of his repoitoire but it was awesome (Pardon the pun) Seeing Danielson complete his return by ending the reign of Miz who terrorized him.

I'd like to throw out Elimination Chamber as well as a top PPV, strong card, strong matches, unpredictability (Seeing Batista screw Cena post-Raw Chamber was great)
I liked WrestleMania as well, 'Taker/HBK was nothing compared to their match last year but it was still a fantastic match between the two, Cena/Batista actually pulled out a good match with one another, I wasn't a big fan of their first match at SummerSlam 2 year ago but they put on a good showing. Only low points would be ShoMiz vs. Truth/Morrison, they could have done so much more for the opener, I didn't even bother with the divas match and Hart/Vince was terrible but was purely a storyline match than the type of matches Vince has put on in the past, mainly HBK at WM 22.

I also agree with this, I thought the MITB PPV was the best of the year. It's the only PPV I've boughten on DVD this year after seeing the show besides WM26, even though the recent Night of Champions will probably also be boughten by me.

Anyways, you opened off with the SD MITB which took up 45 minutes of the show, and was definitely match of the night, or very close to it. It was very entertaining throughout the entire match.

Then you had the Divas Championship with Eve Torres vs. Alicia Fox, and it was definitely one of the better divas matches of the year, and the tag team match that followed wasnt too bad at all, kept me actually interested.

Next was the World Title with Mysterio vs Swagger in a pretty good match, liked them reliving the Eddie/Angle moment from WM20 in this match, and then Kane cashing in on the same night was pretty damn awesome to see, and to see Kane finally get a good push.

The Womens title was honestly the only bad match on the card, it shouldnt have been there, but then you had the RAW MITB match which was also uo there for match of the night, you had very big star power in the match, and saw the Miz continue his push with the win.

WWE title match with Cena and Sheamus was ok, it just felt repeated since theyve faced off a million times already, and I personally feel it shouldn't have closed the show.

Overall, a very good and underrated PPV, and the best of 2010

I think as long as the trend of themeatic PPV continues in WWE, we're going to have to continue picking the best out of a bad bunch. Wrestlemania XXVI was not the best WWE PPV this year, mainly because the negatives far outweighed the positives. As good as Taker/HBK II and Jericho/Edge were, there were too many negatives. A 4 minute tag title match, Vince/Bret, a clusterred MiTB and a 6 minute match between CM Punk and Rey Mysterio really made me dislike this PPV and i can't honestly say that it was the best PPV of the year.

On topic, i would vote for Money in The Bank, purely because it wasn't as bad as the others. It had two very entertaining MiTB matches due to it cutting the number back down to 8 and a genuinely suprising cash-in by Kane where i marked out like fuck. The beauty of putting 16 of the company's top guys into two matches was it allowed the midcard to shine. The tag titles finally got defended on PPV, albeit in a short match but at least it was something different than a PPV consisting of 8 single matches. I thought Sheamus/Cena was solid in a cage match and that Mysterio/Swagger was very entertaining but again, this PPV was far from perfect. It was actually one of the few themed PPV's i enjoyed but again, it was no classic.

I'll do something lil different and try to list the ones I think best to worst

1) Wrestlemania 26

One of the most enjoyable manias I've ever watched. Overall card was good and it even filled 4 hours. WHC/WWE/Streak vs Career/CM Punk;Rey Mysterio/Sheamus;Triple H/MITB were all good matches in themselves. Some of the earlier matches were lil lame but for 4 hours it did a good job keeping us interested.

2) Elimination Chamber

Anything with a chamber is good. Anything with 2 is great and both matches were top notch. WHC being the best. The US title match was a nice lil filler to go with it as well.

3) Money in the Bank

Solid undercard followed the main theme of the PPV. It gave alot of pushes and overall cool spots. Mysterio and Swagger made magic in the ring together and Kane made everyone and their mothers mark out.

4) Night of Champions

Yet another good card. Alot of good matches with psychology if you can believe it. To me the buildup to NoC made the PPV. Six Pack was nice; Taker/Kane had a proper match. The real shining point was Bryan vs Miz.

5) Royal Rumble

It wasn't the best but the overall PPV was great. Should be ranked higher considering the ECW/WHC/US title matches were great. WWE title match was solid, however the Royal Rumble match was a lil staler then what we've come to expect.

6) Over the Limit

Underrated in my opinion. Cena vs Batista was pretty good for a 3rd match overall; As well as some of the undercard matches. Orton vs Edge was definately going to be the centerpoint of the PPV however the injury ruined the momentum of the match.

7) Summerslam

I'm kicking myself for putting it this low; however I like most were soured by a few spots. Particularly Supercena and the IC match. Kane/Mysterio and Orton/Sheamus was a nice watch though.

8) Extreme Rules

Boring throughout. Swagger/Orton was decent and Punk/Mysterio was the saving grace for this one.

9) Fatal Fourway

Who thought up this piece of garbage? ALL of the matches were bad. Enough said.

1. Wrestlemania 26 - Definitely the best for me. It had its flaws, the opening Tag Title match and Punk/Mysterio didn't get anywhere enough time and Cena/Batista didn't quite feel the epic encounter it should have been but it was a show full of good stuff. Obviously, Taker/Michaels was epic, Batista/Cena, Edge/Jericho and Sheamus/HHH were all good matches and you had the novelty of seeing Bret Hart finally get his revenge on Vince McMahon. Admittedly, the match wasn't good but I still enjoyed seeing that.

2. Night of Champions - Good PPV. There were no outright bad matches, I really enjoyed Kane/Taker and Miz/Bryan, the Six Pack Challenge was solid too and Kingston/Ziggler always deliver some pretty good stuff.

3. Extreme Rules - One of the better PPV's definitely. If you were looking for good quality wrestling then this is one of the best from the year. Cena/Batista, Edge/Jericho, Sheamus/HHH, Swagger/Orton and Punk/Mysterio were all good matches and Phoenix/McCool was the best womens match of the year too.

4. Money In The Bank - I don't know if I liked this quite as much as some people but it was a good PPV for sure. The two MITB matches were good, Swagger/Mysterio was good too and the ending with Kane winning the title was solid.

5. Summerslam - Certainly wasn't great but I ordered this for one match, the Team WWE/Nexus match and that delivered tenfold. It was one of my favourite matches of the year. Sheamus/Orton was good but was spoilt a little by the finish and Taker's return was alright but the show was full of filler and didn't really get going until the main event.

6. Elimination Chamber - The two Chamber matches were great as expected with some good storytelling building up Taker/HBK and Cena/Batista for Mania and the PPV was all about those matches so delivered there. The undercard wasn't anything to write home about but overall, it was good.

7. Royal Rumble - It was alright. It was all about one match obviously and I always enjoy the Rumble so this was no exception. Christian/Ezekiel was a good opener too but other than that, Sheamus/Orton and Taker/Mysterio weren't great.

8. Fatal Four Way - Was missing something. Kofi/McIntyre was a good match, Bourne/Jericho was the best of the night and the Fatal Fourways were both alright but it was missing the PPV feel. It felt like a glorified RAW and that isn't great.

9. Over The Limit - Worst of the year for me. Not awful but I would have been annoyed if I paid the money you pay in the US for this. The main event between Cena and Batista was fun and Mysterio/Punk was good as usual but the rest of the card pretty much sucked. Edge/Orton was never able to get started due to injury and Swagger/Show never got started either so two of the main matches didn't deliver.

Overall, I definitely wouldn't call it a bad year for PPV's. Solid without being spectacular would be a fair assessment because there hasn't been anything truly awful but there hasn't been that much truly memorable either.

Wrestlemania 26. All the important matches on the card had a good build up and good history behind it, unexpected MiTB win by Jack Swagger which was a good decision imo, good theme song, contained refreshing matches as in new matches & matches that we hadnt seen in a long time but wouldn't mind seeing again, good main event although it didnt top their WM 25 encounter & an emotional ending.

I guess it has to be NoC. The build up to the main-events were awesome. One side u had 6 top guys colliding for the WWE title and an extremely personal rivalry cultiminating at the other. Both the matches were good. Then u hav a turmoil for the Tag title, which was a pretty entertaining match. The Divas match was the typical divas match. The I.C title match was good. The U.S title match was kind of okay and Punk vs Show was also okay. So, no match let us down. Plus, the build up was awesome and we saw the right results cum out (some may not agree). So here u r. Best ppv of 2010: Night of Champions.
