Best heel turn in the past 8 years

hard to argue these points as both were great heel turns. the only problem... neither were post 2002! that was actually very clear from the subject title and the OP and the thread topic. what were the greatest heel turns after the brand extensions in 2002?

already posted have been Triple H against HBK, Jericho against HBK and CM Punk against HBK. j/k. CM Punk against Jeff Hardy. all three listed have been pretty classic and have set up some pretty amazing feuds and matches. and very arguably, all three of the aforementioned superstars are better as heels instead of babyfaces, so it's pretty solid.

just to be different and because i thought it told an amazing story, but what about Chavo's turn on Eddie circa 2004 before the Rumble? they were great tag team champs and of course family, so it just made the turn and resulting feud that much more personal. and Chavo is a great wrestler. his matches with Eddie were very solid.

Thanks for giving me a reality check, sorry bout that, I guess those "heel turns" should be in the column of the most shocking heel turn of all time, for now the one I forgot to include is the Royal rumble where Matt Hardy turned on Jeff, absolutely NO ONE saw that coming, I was disappointed the feud didn't last long! I am a Matt fan so I hope the best for him, that is my pick, the one where Matt assisted Jeff in that royal rumble match just to smack him with the chair knocking him senseless!

If I had to pick a Top 5 it would have to be

1.Chris Jericho's 2008 heel turn
2.CM Punk's 2009 heel turn
3.Eddie Guerrero's 2005 heel turn
4.Shawn Michaels 2005 heel turn
5.Batista's 2009 heel turn

This is easily Triple H's turn from 2002. Batista's turn was good but I think it has been overrated somewhat. Jericho's turn was good but expected because he was struggling as a face. CM Punk has been great with the SES and although his turn was good, when he first became a heel it took me a while to get into his character.

Triple H went from a top face that was about to reform one of the best factions in wrestling with his best friend, to a major heel that was trying to cripple his best friend. When the first attack on HBK happened he went around trying to find who did it and it was eventually reveled that he himself was the perpetrator. This led to a great match at Summerslam and a sadistic sledge hammer shot to HBK's lower back. HHH and HBK continued their great feud for a few months and Triple H solidified himself as one of the best heels of the last decade.

I think it has to be Chris Jericho and CM Punks. In 2008 and 2009. Chris Jericho vs Shawn Michaels started one of the greatest feuds of all time and so did Punk vs Hardy. The Heel turn was awesome when he just beat him with the mic and said "fix him so i can break him."

My top 3 would have to be Chris Jericho's heel turn on Michaels in 2008, CM Punk's heel turn on Jeff Hardy, and Batista's heel turn on Rey Mysterio at "Bragging Rights". The reason why I say these 3 is because they brought something a little different to the whole "heel's table" in my opinion. Jericho was the most hated man in the WWE in the year 2008. Punching Shawn's wife in the mouth...nough' said. CM Punk cashing in on Hardy and destroying something that people wanted to see for years, plus mentioning the fact that he was once fired for using drugs...great stuff. Batista reminded me of the Rock. Sure, he was a monster but the way he dressed, his cocky attitude and his final rivalry with Cena...everything at that time screamed "Rock" in my opinion.

Jericho, Punk, and Batista were different from the whole "I don't talk because I'm a heel Orton". They were full of charisma.

I agree with Y2J, Punk and HBK in 2005. I think Batista in 2009 is up there, how much did it rejuvanate him? The beatdown of Rey was standard, but you look at his work in the following months and it was clear that turning heel was one of the best things he had done.
