Personally, I have no real interest in Batista returning. I was never particularly a fan of the guy back when he was a full time member of the roster and I've no real interest in seeing him return as a special attraction that'll get paid tons of money, wrestle maybe a single match and have tons of TV time devoted to him. If I felt Batista had anything worthwhile to contribute, it wouldn't bother me to see him come back but it wouldn't interest me all that much either. WWE's got tons of guys on the roster who're incredibly well built, yet much more interesting as characters and more entertaining to watch inside the ring, at least in my eyes.
Besides, Batista's film career may well be taking off; Guardians of the Galaxy was a huge critical and commercial success, Batista got good reviews for his role as Drax, he's playing a villain in the next James Bond movie, he's going to be in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel and considering how Marvel's Cinematic Universe is all interconnected, he might pop up as part of the Guardians during the "Avengers: Infinity War" sequels. Besides that, there could be other lucrative roles Batista could be pegged for but, just as with The Rock, the thought of Batista wrestling and risking suffering significant injury is something that might make some high power executives at the studios very nervous. As a result, there's the risk Batista could be passed over for some big money movie roles and considering that Batista is alleged to spend money like the world's gonna end the next day, he needs big paychecks. Sure, WWE could offer Batista a massive payday, but there's a point in which WWE has to view it as throwing away money because there's a limit to how much anybody's worth. Besides, when you consider the unenthusiastic response to Batista's return nearly 1.5 years ago, you have to consider the possibilities that whatever plans WWE would have for him might have to b altered just like they were last year; also, allegedly, there's tension between Batista and WWE management because of changes made last year, though there's no way of knowing if it's true. Allegedly, Batista had no problem jobbing to Daniel Bryan and would do it again at Extreme Rule last year but, again, allegedly, some reports say the exact opposite and it's why he was put into the six man tag with Evolution against The Shield. Recently, Batista has slammed WWE Creative for not making Titus O'Neil a star as he's always been a fan of his work.
