Batista and Big Show should fuck off

Uncle Sam

Rear Naked Bloke
If there's one thing that makes the draft seem pointless and SmackDown's roster look weak, it's having the combination of the Big Show (a Raw superstar) stomping all over Jeff Hardy and Batista (another Raw superstar) main eventing.

WWE made its bed, but is refusing to sleep in it. Instead, they've decide the Raw bed has too many people in it so some are squeezing into SmackDown!'s. Well, no more.

I was excited to watch SmackDown!. I tuned in just after the Big Show's relentless beating of Jeff Hardy had begun and tuned out after I heard that Batista was going in to the main event.

Edge, Jericho, Hardy and Punk are some of the best talent in the WWE right now. Having them lead the show would have made much more sense. Instead, SmackDown! is now officially Raw's bitch.

At least The Undertaker made an appearance. And at least he had a match against someone from SmackDown!.

See, this is why I don't know who's on what brand.

Didnt watch Smakdown but didnt Big Show give Jeff a pummeling, and Big Dave ME'd against Ted DiBiase?

Now while I aint fond of Smackdowns roster I really dont see the point in having the RAW stars take precedence on Smackdown. Fact is Jeff Hardy is probably Smackdowns second or third biggest exclusive star (depends how high you rank Jericho) and he gets pummeled by Big Show.

I was also looking forward to watching a program where guys like Jericho and Hardy were going to take precedence (a redundant comment seeing how I cant watch it anymore anyway, but you get the point). Got no problem with Batista but I dont want him dominating the blue brand still.

Ah, I see. In that case, the draft should have taken effect immediately. I mean, the Big Show was already on Team Raw on Monday night, so why's he still on SmackDown?

It also still reflects badly on SmackDown. I thought that Batista was on Raw anyway, regardless of the draft. Is he just randomly jumping over when he pleases now? And The Big Show kicks the piss out of one of SmackDown's biggest stars and then catches the bus to Raw? It doesn't look good.

Yeah I agree. The Big Show had no right to beat up one of Smackdown's top superstars. But to be fair, if it wasn't for Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy would have won his match. The Big Show was probably competing in his final Smackdown match before he goes to Raw. But even still, he didn't do any wonders for Jeff during that match. And don't even get me started on Batista and Ted DiBiase.

Seriously, what the fuck? Ted hasn't even competed on Smackdown before, as he's always been a Raw superstar. And Big Dave hasn't been a member of the Smackdown roster for a year now, so that main event really made no sense to me. Even Triple H had no business being on the show. The Orton/HHH/Batista storyline is now Raw exclusive only, seeing as all 6 members who are involved in the WWE Title match at Backlash are all now Raw superstars. If anything, I watch Smackdown to get away from this fucking storyline, and it follows me on the blue brand!

Hopefully after Backlash everything goes back to normal and superstars actually stick to their own brand. Another thing that shits me off is this: Smarks wanted the two tag team titles to be unified, and now that they have, it means the champions will have to compete on both Raw and Smackdown seeing as there's only one tag team division now. Meaning, they will have to compete on different shows during different storylines. And people are now bitching how everyone is appearing on every brand. Well um... you wanted the titles to be unified, and now you're going to bitch because the champions aren't going to stick to their own brand.

As the old saying goes "I told you so".

If they continued to do this, I'd be pissed, but as of right now, I'm not.

Why? Like Ricky said, this week was out of the loop because of the draft, and on Monday, it'll be sorted out. The show was taped on Tuesday, with the Supplemental Draft on Wednesday. Even though we're smart enough to know that someone like Ted DiBiase or Batista wouldn't move on Wednesday, if they had taped Smackdown with the Supp Draft choices in place, they'd ruin half of it. The audience would be able to tell that Morrison, Ziggler, etc were a member of the Smackdown roster before they were drafted the next day. As far as the main event people like Big Show and Batista, well, its just one episode.

I do, however, dislike how Batista/DiBiase was considered the main event. Same for how the handicap match took the main event spot away from the battle royal on Monday, and how the Shane/Cody match took the main event spot away from the Christian/Finlay match (which actually had something on the line) on Superstars. Just a lame attempt to convince people that this is their best storyline going right now, when its really just been taking horribly and lost all its momentum a while ago.

But yeah, most likely, Monday starts the rosters being separated as they're supposed to be, with the only overlap being the Superstars show. Unless they put it off for another week and start it all after Backlash once Smackdown gets its own championship (hopefully HHH's WWE championship, as I'd rather see Cena as champ on Raw than HHH).
