OK so it's been awhile since I compared PPV events, maybe at least 2 months but anyway now on topic.
Today we have 2 backlashes, 2006 and 2004.

My Pick: In all honesty both of these shows model after each other. Both have a no DQ sub-main event and a Triple threat World title event as well. However I lean towards the 2004 event. It really because both the 2 main events were superior the the 2006 counterparts. The No Holds barred match with the whole "God" thing surrounding it made the match look absurd regardless of it's actual quality. The hardcore match from 2004 in all honesty is one the best I have ever seen behind the Wrestlemania 22 Edge/Foley match. This was the Match that made Randy Orton into a star which would lead to his world tile win at Summerslam later that year.
As far as the main events go, this is a tough choice for me. Both are very fun and exciting matches, with plenty of brutal spots and good storytelling. I am going to lean slightly towards the 2004 triple threat match. While the Cena/HHH/Edge match was fun to watch, the Benoit/HBK/HHH match told a better story in my opinion. Benoit and Cena were both the underdogs but Benoit had only won the title a month before while Cena you knew was going to win. I had more of a reason to root for Beniot than I did Cena, so this goes to the 2004 Main event.
The under card was decent on both shows so I will give this one a tie.
Overall Backlash 2004 is my pick.
