WZCW's Mr Excitement
Just as the last few people take their seats, the entire arena falls into darkness which means only one thing:

The crowd boos quite heavily as the music hits the arena. They continue to boo and use flash photography to create some light but are unable to see anything. A moment passes and the lights come back on to reveal Ty Burna in the ring with a microphone in one hand and a contract in the other, wearing a suit which is quite rare for him. The music dies down but the crowd does not.

Ty: It is nice to see that I am very popular on the 2nd rate show of Ascension.

The continue to boo relentlessly at Ty but he does not care for their words.

Ty: To make this show more... entertaining and overall better for the viewers at home, it has been decided that the tag team match featuring Runn Reynolds Runn against Steven Holmes and Constantine where the winners will qualify for the Lethal Lottery...

The crowd cheers a little for the match but still boo Ty.

Ty: ... has had its stipulation cancelled. Therefore, the winners will not qualify for the Lottery.

The crowd boos mercilessly as Ty smiles at the announcement.

Ty: This is due to a slight miscalculation where someone who shall remain nameless added too many qualifying stipulations where we'd be overflowing the Lottery. Furthermore...

The theme of Ascension hits and the crowd cheers for Vance Bateman as he walks out with an angry look on his face. He stays on stage with a microphone as Ty waves at him.

Bateman: Who do you think you are, Ty? Coming out here and changing my show the way it suits you? You have no authority to be making these calls out here. This is my show and I have the final say around he...

Ty: Do you think I am an idiot, Vance? I know you control this show and it is completely within your jurisdiction to make these calls... however, you're the one who signed off on making this change happen in the first place.

Ty shows the contract to the camera and reveals on the titantron Bateman's signature. Vance is visibly furious at this as Ty smiles at Bateman.

Bateman: I did not sign that!

Ty: According to your signature, you did... and might I add, what an excellent decision you've made Vance! I was thinking the same thing.

Before Bateman can say another word, the arena dims once more with Ty laughing in the background. The lights come back on again to see that Ty has vanished with the contract and Bateman does not know what to do with himself as he drops the mic and heads to the back angrily.

Connor: Ty continues to play his mind games with Vance over control of the company but for what purpose?

Cohen: It is the ultimate power drive to own the entire company. He's held the World title for a year, now its time to rule WZCW.

Connor: I just hope Bateman can find a good legal team because he's going to have a lot worse coming his way if he doesn't... and if Vance says he didn't sign the contract, who did?

Cohen: Who cares? The changes are made and we've got a show to start! Let's get Ascension rolling!

Anderson: The following contest is a tag team match scheduled for one fall where if Scott Hammond and Mick Overlast win, they will qualify for the 2012 Lethal Lottery match!

Cohen: This is going to be quite the interesting match, CC. I can feel it.

The crowd boo's heavily as Hammond slowly walks out, looking out to the crowd with a disapproving stare. He raises his hand before heading down the ramp, ignoring the fans reaction to him.

Anderson: Introducing first, from London, England, weighing 275 pounds; SCOTT HAMMOND!

Hammond climbs into the ring and goes on the turnbuckle, taking off his jacket and throws it just short of the crowd so they can't catch it. He laughs as the members of the audience he "aimed" for boo him relentlessly for it.

The crowd continues their chorus of boos as Overlast comes out to the ramp and stands on it for a few seconds, looking at all parts of the arena before proceeding down the ramp.

Anderson: And his tag team partner, from Pittsburgh, PA, weighing in at 235 pounds; MICK OVERLAST!

Once Overlast reaches the ringside area, he eyes off his partner as he enters the ring. Overlast brushes past him, signalling that he is not interested in Hammond, to get on the turnbuckle and poses for the booing crowd.

Connor: These two are going to get on just fine.

Cohen: They better if they're going to earn themselves spots in the Lottery... not to say I don't doubt them getting along, of course.

Overlast hops down and stares at Hammond from across the ring before smirking, leaving Hammond stretching and shaking his head at his partner.

The crowd switches to cheers as Bomb enters the stage with a hoodie on which he quickly pulls down and laughs as he looks up to the nosebleeds. He nods his head at the approval of the crowd.

Anderson: And their opponent, from the United Kingdom, weighing in at 261 pounds; BRAD BOMB!

Cohen: If you thought you were concerned about Hammond and Overlast, you'll have to keep an eye out for Bomb and Beckford. They nearly tore each other apart last week for a spot.

Connor: Yes but they've made up from that incident: I don't think they'll be encountering many communication problems in this match.

Bomb hops onto the apron and slowly enters the ring, keeping an eye on both men. Hammond and Overlast do nothing but stand in their own corners as Bomb stays in his own.

The crowd cheers louder this time as Beckford jumps out of the curtain, spreads his arms out and sprints down to the ring, sliding in to meet all four men in the ring. He gets onto the turnbuckle and taunts before backflipping off it.

Anderson: And his partner, from Leeds, England, weighing in at 226 pounds; CHRIS BECKFORD!

Connor: Sometimes I feel sorry for Chris: he can't not have anything to do with Blade.

Cohen: Cat, I don't see Blade anywhere, do you?

Connor: No but...

Cohen: Case and point.

Beckford goes over to Bomb and extends out a hand, which Bomb immediately shakes and the two show the crowd they are on the same page. Beckford opts to start for their team this time as Overlast and Hammond look at each other. Neither seem to budge on who wants to start but Hammond eventually caves in and gets on the apron to cockily watch Overlast as he performs in the ring. The referee checks on both men before signalling for the bell.

Overlast laughs at Beckford as the two circle each other in the ring. Beckford is the first to make a move and locks up with Overlast, who pushes Beckford into the corner. The referee instructs for a clean break that Overlast gives but follows up with a push that sends Beckford back into the corner. Beckford immediately locks up with Overlast again and forces him into the other corner. He gives a clean break and shoves Overlast into the corner hard, exchanging words on the lines of "if you dish it out, you can take it." Beckford calls for Overlast to come at him but Overlast smirks and rolls out of the ring. The crowd boos Overlast as he taunts the crowd with everyone competing (including Hammond) being quite confused with Overlast's tactics. Beckford goes to the outside as Overlast's back is turned and grabs on the head to try and bring him back inside but Overlast counters it with a sucker punch before whipping Beckford straight into the barricades. He grabs the head of Overlast and tells Beckford to not shove him again. Despite the warning, Beckford pushes Overlast away from him, inciting Overlast to come back with a series of punches before he drags Beckford into the ring again. Overlast runs in before Beckford has a chance to get to his feet and hits him with a hard running clothesline. He finishes off Beckford with a knee drop before going for a pin... 1... kick-out. Overlast slaps Hammond on the shoulder to tag him in and gets on the apron. Hammond has does not register the tag until Overlast yells at him to get in the ring. Hammond slowly gets in staring at Overlast before he focuses back on Beckford who has gotten up and hits a dropsault on Hammond, knocking him down. Hammond is surprised by the shot and tries getting up but Beckford is on his feet first and clothesline Hammond. Beckford points to Overlast as he helps Hammond up and whips into his corner. He keeps Hammond in the corner as he tags in Bomb, who moves back and allows Bomb to hit a stinger splash onto Hammond. Beckford gets on the ropes as Bomb hits a sidewalk slam with a cover... 1... kick-out by Hammond.

Connor: Excellent work by Beckford and Bomb thus far to keep as much of the momentum on their side as possible. If Hammond and Overlast had this much trust, they'd be doing as well as they are.

Cohen: Give them time, CC. This is their first time teaming together whereas Bomb and Beckford have had experience.

Both men are already up with Bomb clutching Hammond around the waist and he hits a belly to belly suplex on him. He goes for another pin but another 1 count is the outcome. Hammond tries crawling for a tag to the dis-interested Overlast but Bomb drags him back and picks him up. He kicks Hammond in the gut and lifts him up for a suplex. He stalls Hammond in the air for a few second before dropping him down. Again a count but this time he gets a 2. Bomb decides to tag in Beckford and he gets into the ring. Bomb picks up Hammond and the two hit a double DDT on Hammond. Beckford goes for the cover as Bomb gets on the apron... 1... 2... kick-out. Beckford gets the crowd going as he goes over to the nearest ropes and attempts to hit a springboard attack. Overlast however gets close to Beckford and tries to block the attack but Beckford cancels, telling Overlast off. Whilst the referee interjects to deal with Overlast, Hammond crawls up from behind Beckford and pounces on him, gauging his eyes before hitting a German suplex on Beckford. Hammond uses this time to recover as Overlast calls for the tag. Hammond smirks at Overlast as he slowly gets up and ignores the opportunity to tag. Beckford is almost at his feet when Hammond kick him in the gut and hits a neckbreaker on Beckford. He goes for the cover... 1... 2... kick-out by Beckford. Hammond again takes his time, catching his breath before stalking Beckford as he tries getting up. He locks in a T-bone suplex and launches Beckford across the ring near his corner. Instead of pinning him, Hammond blind tags in Overlast and tells him to pick up the scraps before getting on the apron. Overlast doesn't look impressed as reminds Hammond that he was the one who saved him. He grabs the leg of Beckford and locks in a half crab. Overlast looks towards Hammond and says this is how its done as Beckford does his best to scramble to the ropes. Overlast lets go on the four count as Beckford shakes his leg from the submission. He picks up Beckford and is able to hit a backbreaker before going for the pin... 1... 2... Bomb intervenes and breaks up the pin. Overlast stares at Bomb as he gets on the ropes before re-focusing on Beckford, picking him up to hit a belly to back suplex but Beckford counters the move and hits a reverse DDT. Both men are down and the referee begins to count. The crowd start to cheer for Beckford to make the tag as Overlast tries getting to Hammond. Overlast gets to Hammond as Beckford is almost near his corner and goes for a tag but Hammond smiles as he backs away from the apron.

Connor: Hammond is refusing to enter the ring on Overlast's terms... for a tag team veteran in this situation, this isn't smart.

Cohen: Hammond is testing Overlast to see if he truly should be standing alongside himself and Blade by...

Connor: And here comes Brad Bomb!

The crowd cheers as Bomb enter the fray once more and charges at Overlast, who turns around and gets hit with a crossbody. Bomb gets up and hits a big boot on Overlast, followed by a dropkick as he recovers again. Overlast tries charging at Bomb but is met with a Leviathan spinebuster for his efforts. He goes for the cover... 1... 2... Hammond interferes this time but instead of going back on the apron, he attacks Bomb with several stomps before the referee pulls him back. Beckford is up and runs at Hammond, clotheslining him over the top rope and down to the floor. Beckford measures him up and hits a springboard dropkick to Hammond on the ground below. Bomb is up despite the attacks before Overlast and sees his opportunity to strike. He picks up Overlast and goes for the Detonator but Overlast manages to roll through and peform a sunset flip pin... 1... 2... kick-out by Bomb. Overlast tries to gain the advantage but Bomb hits him in the stomach a couple of times before running off the ropes. Overlast is ready and catches Bomb with a powerslam. On the outside, Beckford gets up and tries to get into the ring but Hammond holds onto his leg before Beckford decides to pick him up to deal with him. Hammond quickly pulls Beckford straight into the barricade head first before hopping back on the apron and blind tagging himself in as Overlast was about to head to the top rope and hit his finisher. Hammond enters the ring and hits London's Calling before going for the pin... 1... 2... 3!

The referee rings the bell as the crowd boos at the winners. Hammond's music begins to play as Hammond raises his hand in the air with Overlast shaking his head at what happened, exiting the ring in an instant not wanting to do anything with Hammond.

Anderson: Here are your winners; SCOTT HAMMOND and MICK OVERLAST!

Cohen: Aha... I knew they could do it. The Sons of Destiny have made their way into the Lethal Lottery!

Connor: Overlast hasn't joined the group yet, Jack... but they managed to pull the victory despite their issues. I don't think this win is going to help Blade convert Overlast to his group.

Cohen: It is all a test concocted by Hammond. Mick will come around.

Hammond celebrates in the ring as Overlast has gone through the curtain to the backstage area with Bomb and Beckford beginning to recover.

The following match is scheduled for one fall and is a qualifying match for the 2012 Lethal Lottery match!

Alex Steele emerges and doesn’t waste any time heading down the ramp. He throws his hood back and slides into the ring.

On his way to the ring, from Boston Massachusetts, he weighs 249lbs, Alexander Steele!

“This guy had one chance to qualify last week. Why does he get a second bite?

“Hey, you know as well as I do that we give our superstars many chances. Steele had a tough draw at the Roulette shows.”

“But this is an even tougher draw”

And his opponent, from Oxford University, weighing in at 225lbs, this is Alexander Stark!

Stark is the epitome of composure as he struts down to the ring.

“Both of these talented young men are former tag champions looking to make a name for themselves in singles competition.”

"I'm a massive fan of Stark."

"I never would have guessed."

"He has to have the edge here."

Stark and Steele meet in the middle of the ring with a tie up. Both men fight and push for the advantage before Stark gets some momentum and pushes Steele into the corner. The referee forces them to break and Stark lets go willingly but he refuses to back away. Instead he slaps Alex Steele in the face! Steele charges in to Stark and gets a takedown before punching Stark repeatedly in the face. Steele then grabs and arm and tries to lock in an arm choke but Stark defends it well. They end up rolling out of the ring where they land on their feet. Punches come from both men but Stark stops that when he kicks Steele in the gut. He whips Steele into the ringside barrier. Stark takes a second to recover from the somewhat frenzied start to the match.

“Given their backgrounds, it is no surprise that this has gone to the ground. Both men have extensive wrestling backgrounds”

“It’s no surprise that Alex Steele hasn’t been able to keep his frustrations in check.”

Steele is winded and is vulnerable to Stark. The Oxford genius realises this and takes his time to measure stiff kicks to the ribs. He then turns Steele around, lifts him up and drops him chest first across the barrier!

“And that rash attack from Steele has backfired.”

“No doubt he will be feeling that in the morning!”

Stark picks up the battered Steele and rolls him back into the ring, but not before punishing Steele some more by draping his neck along the bottom rope and pressing down on the back of his head. Steele continues to choke out Steele but lets go just before the ref DQ’s him on a five count. Steele eventually rolls in the ring and makes a cover, 1....2.... Steele does manage to kick out. Stark picks him and whips him into the nearby turnbuckle. Stark ties him through the ropes and hits a series of forearms to the back. Steele falls down again. Stark goes for a cover and gets two. He lifts Steele and goes for a DDT but Steele back body drops him out of it. The move takes a lot out of Steele and he clutches his chest. Stark is back quickly but he lashes out with a clothesline which Steele ducks and hits a massive overhead belly to belly! Steele grabs his chest again and slowly goes for a cover, 1.....2....Stark kicks out.

“It says a lot for the calibre of these two young men that this is so back and forth. It wouldn’t surprise me to see lots of near falls.”

“I just think Alexander Stark is going to bait Steele into making a mistake.”

Steele stomps on Stark before he grabs an arm and goes for a pumphandle lift. Stark tries to fight it with elbows to the head but Steele still lifts him up and slams him off to the side! Cover, 1....2....Stark gets out again. Steele pauses before standing this time, he backs away before hitting the ropes and hitting a neck snap! He goes to hit a second neck snap but Stark rolls to evade it, Steele comes off the ropes and this time, kicks Stark straight in the chest. Steele seizes upon the prone Stark and immediately goes to lock in a Cobra Clutch to capitalise on the damaged head and neck. Stark struggles but is unable to move his legs to reach the ropes.

“Steele’s focus on neck work is a solid gameplan.”

Steele pulls him away but Stark swings his legs around while the pressure is released. Steele switches his submission; he uses Starks own arm and wraps it around his neck. Steele shifts his weight to the side. Stark flails as he edges closer to the ropes before his boot barely grazes the bottom cable. The referee calls for the break and the crowd boos the hell out of the call.

“Not if he can’t control Stark from getting to the ropes!”

Steele stands, not unhappy with the decision as he sees the chance to end the match. He signals for Twisted Steele but Stark pushes him away, Steele hits the ropes and as he comes back, Stark goes to hit the IQ Drop but Steele blocks that by using the same counter. Steele comes off the ropes and Stark hits the Blue Thunder Bomb! Cover, 1.....2.....3, NOOOO Steele gets his shoulder out!

“Great counter!”

“I thought that was it!”

Stark moves away, vociferously discussing the referee’s call. He stops just as Steele gets to his feet and he goes to hit his patented hammerlock DDT but Steele twists out of it and goes to hit Twisted Steele again but Stark counters this into the guillotine choke! And he has it locked in!! Steele flaps and waves about but he is dragged back to the centre of the ring. Stark leans forward but then wrenches back with all his might! Just as he does this, Steele breaks the hold and hits Twisted Steele!! 1......2........3!!!!

Your winner by pinfall, Alexander Steele!

“Steele did it!”

“How the.....? He tapped out didn’t he?”

”No, Steele broke the grip and Steele reversed it into his finisher. It was an inspired finish!"

We see backstage Mick Overlast walking towards his locker room frustrated from what occurred during his match. He tosses a bin over from the anger until he sees Blade leaning against his door with a cigarette in hand, smoking it. He smiles at Overlast who is not impressed.

Overlast: What the hell do you want, now?

Blade takes another puff.

Blade: Nothing Mick, I just wanted to congratulate you on your victory tonight.

Overlast: More like Scott Hammond hogging the spotlight and preventing me from solidifying myself as the best in this company.

Blade smiles and laughs.

Blade: Oh... that's just Scott being Scott. He can get very... competitive in that ring. For that, I apologize... but if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to have a private chat to you about something.

Overlast looks very concerned about Blade's request.

Overlast: As long as after this, you'll stop trying to convert me to your little group.

Blade: Done... please, after you.

Overlast walks into the locker room as Blade puts out his cigarette, closing the door behind him.

We transition to Phoenix backstage in a darkened hallway.

"I've been through Hell and back. I was broken and have been reborn."

He looks up and right through the camera.

"The dregs of society that appear in WZCW need to be shown what it is like to suffer like I have. It starts with Drake Callahan, a superstar who bumbles through life just like I used to. Drake needs rebirth and he needs it to begin tonight."

Phoenix then steps forward and shoves the camera aside before walking away.

The following match is scheduled for one fall and is a qualifying match for the 2012 Lethal Lottery match!

The crowd pop loudly as Phoenix emerges from the flames on the stage. He stands at the top of the entrance ramp and his face remains solemn despite the reaction of the crowd. He slowly starts walking towards the ring.

On his way to the ring, weighing in at 213 pounds, from Heliopolis, Phoenix!

Phoenix gets into the ring and scans the crowd, his face still expressionless.

"Phoenix was one of many returns last week but he was the only one to lose."

"And I suspect he was seething about that ever since."

Anderson: And his opponent...

The crowd lets out another massive pop and Drake Callahan finally walks out onto the ramp! He has a bottle of beer in each hand and he wastes little time in drenching the audience members nearest to him with one bottle before chugging the other one himself.

Anderson: On his way to the ring, weighing in at 215 pounds, from Cleveland, Ohio, Drake Callahan!

Callahan slaps the hands of the crowd on his way down to the ramp before walking over around to the far side of the ring. He puts his beers on the announce table and enters the ring.

We had a few returns last week, but these two were probably the biggest!

Callahan and Phoenix meet in the middle of the ring and Phoenix gets in the first eager punch. Callahan replies with a slap. Phoenix kicks Callahan in the side and gets a pair of European uppercut in return. Callahan whips Phoenix to the ropes but Phoenix nails a spinning heel kick! He picks up Callahan and body slams him to the mat. Callahan winces as he tries to get back up but by the time he does, Phoenix is on the middle rope and he flies off the ropes. As he looks for some sort of cross body, Callahan kicks him hard in the chest. Phoenix crashes and burns on the mat. Callahan jumps over his foe and finds his way to the middle rope. He then dives off with a diving elbow. As he lands, he quickly hooks the leg, 1....2...Phoenix kicks out easily.

“Stupid drunk thought he could qualify for the Lethal Lottery with that?”

“Both men have scrapped the feeling out process thanks to their random encounter last week. This is going straight for the big hits!”

Callahan then looks to hit a tiger suplex but Phoenix rolls through Callahan’s legs as he is lifted up, cradle cover, 1....2....Callahan rolls out and he backs away to the corner to regain his breath. Phoenix doesn’t allow that as he charges in and nails the Stinger Splash! He then comes back before Callahan can move and hits the Shining Wizard then a bulldog! Cover by Phoenix but he only gets two. Phoenix stalks Callahan as he clumsily gets to his feet. He sprints from one side of the ring to the other and meets him with a devastating Liger Kick. Phoenix then brings him away from the turnbuckle and hits the Incinerator! Cover by Phoenix, 1...2....Callahan slides his foot under the ropes and the ref sees it just before he brings his hand down for a three!

“Phoenix is bringing it all tonight!”

“The Incinerator nearly got it done but Callahan was quite aware of his surroundings. That’s good ring sense.”

Phoenix slams the mat in frustration and brings Callahan away from the ropes. He hesitates for a second before grapping Callahan’s neck and wrapping a figure four around it. Callahan squirms and tries to turn it around but Phoenix pounds his head. Callahan forces his hip up turns to the side and get enough momentum to force Phoenix over. Both men are on their sides and this time, Phoenix is in the ropes. The referee forces him to break the hold. Phoenix does reluctantly and he then steps outside of the ropes. He springboards off the rope and meets Callahan with a double stomp to the back of the neck as he tries to get to his feet. Cover by Phoenix, 1....2.... Callahan kicks out again!

“Phoenix was unlucky last week and he is desperate to make his record again Drake somewhat equal.”

Phoenix shows his frustration once more and yells at Callahan to get up. He goes to hit Redemption but Callahan counters it by dropping Phoenix on his head with the Hangover! Cover by Callahan, 1.....2.....Phoenix kicks out!

“The counter wrestling on display here is top notch! Callahan nearly finished it off and you are damn tough if you can kick out of a move like the Hangover!”

Callahan cannot believe that his desperate manoeuvre didn’t get a three count. He tries to lift him up again but Phoenix meets him with a series of kicks to his legs. Callahan catches one aimed at his chest but Phoenix turns to hit a dragon whip. Callahan ducks the swinging leg and drops Phoenix with a lifted reverse DDT! Callahan covers but he doesn’t hook the leg and Phoenix kicks out at two. Callahan stands above Phoenix who is on his back still. Callahan takes a step and hits a standing moonsault. Instead of covering, he gets up and hits a standing shooting star press! Callahan covers and this time does hook the leg! 1....2.....kicked out at two again by Phoenix.

“Impressive moves off his feet by Drake.”

“Nonsense. The drunkard tripped didn’t he? ”

Callahan grabs Phoenix and whips him to the ropes. Callahan looks to hit a big boot but Phoenix ducks it and hits Rebirth! Callahan is devastated by the kick to the head, Phoenix falls on top of his and hooks the leg, 1...2.....Callahan somehow kicks out!

“See? That high-flying nonsense got him nowhere.”

“Drake’s double tough. His appearance is deceiving but just like Phoenix surviving the Hangover, Drake kicked out of the Rebirth. How impressive was that?!”

Phoenix slaps the mat again. He takes Callahan over to the closest corner and mounts the turnbuckle. He faces out to the crowd, checks on Callahan and launches off, curling and twisting with Final Flight but Phoenix misses Callahan as he rolls out of the way! Callahan spies his opportunity as Phoenix clutches his chest and neck and as Callahan locks in the Last Call, Phoenix screams out in agony and he has to tap out!!

“Your winner by submission, Drake Callahan!”

“Once again we see that neither man has missed a beat while they were away. Both men should be damn proud of their efforts here.”

Callahan rolls out of the ring, grabs his beers and celebrates by spraying it around some more.

“I can’t believe that the idiot that is Drake Callahan is eligible to win the damn Lethal Lottery! There’s no way Callahan is better than Phoenix.”

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We see Holmes and Constantine walking through the backstage area, preparing in the last couple of minutes they have left before their match. The pass a corridor and Holmes sees Gordito getting ready for his match down the end. He stops walking.

Holmes: I'll catch up with you later John: I've got some business to take care of.

Constantine stops for a moment to see the look on Holmes' face and has a glance around to see what could be so important. He shrugs.

Constantine: See you out there.

Constantine continues on as Holmes goes down the corridor with a sinister look on his face. He takes off the Elite Championship around his waist and straps it around is hand as a weapon. He begins walking at a fast pace directly towards Gordito who doesn't notice him until Holmes is running at him. Gordito tries to defend himself but Holmes gets there first and whacks him across the face with the belt. A female WZCW worker shrieks in the background and runs off screaming for help as Gordito falls to the floor and Holmes mounts Gordito, pounding him with everything he's got. He continues until referee's arrive on the scene to pull Holmes off. He grabs his title and walks out with a wicked smile on his face as a medical trainer enters to check on Gordito's status.

Connor: What the hell was that for? That was completely unprovoked.

Cohen: Great minds work in mysterious ways, Cat.

Anderson: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

Connor: Originally supposed to be a Lethal Lottery qualifier, but Ty Burna cancelled that stiputlation!

Reynolds and Runn walk out onto the ramp to loud cheering. They extend their arms, titles in hand and head for the ring.

Anderson: Introducing first, at a combined weight of 390 pounds, the Tag Team Champions, Austin Reynolds and Ricky Runn, Runn Reynolds Runn!

They get into the ring and pose for the crowd before walking to the corner to discuss strategy.

Connor: Runn Reynolds Runn now know their next number one contenders. Or at least, one of them.

Cohen: They can't let that distract them tonight or they'll pay for it.

The crowd start booing as Contantine strides out, and throws his arms up in the air. He looks with his usual contempt at the audience before heading for the ring.

Anderson: And their opponents, first, weighing in at 265 pounds, Constantine!

He stops at the bottom of the ramp and looks at his opponents.

Connor: Well, Constantine certainly knows Austin Reynolds well...

There are even louder boos as Steven Holmes struts out, a wide smirk on his face and the title over his shoulder.

Connor: Fresh from washing the blood, both literal and proverbial, off his hands after the brutal attack on Gordito...

Cohen: It's called getting an advantage, CC. Everyone does it in this industry.

Anderson: And his partner, weighing in at 235 pounds, the ELITE Champion, Steven Holmes!

Holmes walks down the ramp and exchanges a few words with Constantine before they get up onto the ramp. Constantine gets into the ring and stands across from Ricky Runn, who's starting the match for the tag team champions. The two men circle each other and Runn suddenly grins and tags in Reynolds, who looks like he still wants a piece of Constantine.Constantine backs into the corner and slaps the shoulder of Holmes, not wanting anything to do with Reynolds. Holmes sighs and gets into the ring and again the circling begins. Holmes executes a double leg takedown and transitions into a waistlock. Reynolds manages to struggle his way to his feet and hits and elbow to Holmes' head. Holmes releases the waistlock and Reynolds feins attempting a Péle kick, causing Holmes to stumble backwards. Reynolds smirks and motions for Holmes to bring it on. The Elite champion takes a deep breath and ties up with Reynolds. He uses a Snapmare on Reynolds and follows with a kick to the back. Reynolds' back muscles clench in pain before follows up with a Dropkick to the back of his head. Holmes goes for the first pin of the match, 1... Reynolds kicks out. Holmes picks up Reynolds and extends his hand. Constantine hesitates before tagging himself in. He gets into the ring and pushes Reynolds into the corner and hits a knife-edge chop that echoes through the arena. Reynolds grits his teeth before Constantine follows up with a strong headbutt. Reynolds stumbles out of the corner and Constantine runs off the ropes and hits a big Lariat before going for a pin, 1... 2... Kick out by Reynolds. Constantine grabs Reynolds by the hair and lifts him up for a vertical suplex but Reynolds manages to land behind Constantine and hits a Lungblower! Both men are down and the referee is starting the count. By 5 both men are crawling over to their corners, Constantine moving quicker. He tags in Holmes who rushes over to Reynolds, who is inches from tagging in Runn, and drags him back to the middle of the ring.

Cohen: Excellent tag team work! Constantine and Holmes could... No, should be tag team champions.

Connor: They haven't won yet, Jack.

Holmes Irish Whips Reynolds into the ropes and gets him in an Abdominal Stretch a mere 5 feet from Ricky Runn, who is trying desperately to tag himself in as Holmes pulls back on Reynolds while snickering at Runn. As the referee asks Reynolds if he wants to quit, Holmes uses the ropes to make the stretch more painful, much to the anger of Runn. The crowd start cheering loudly for Reynolds, trying to will him on and finally he breaks out of the Abdominal Stretch. He turns around and Holmes goes for a Belly to Belly but Reynolds punches his way out of it and pushes Holmes backwards into the ropes. As Holmes returns, Reynolds hits a jumping leg Lariat and both men go down! This time both men instantly manage to start crawling towards their partners. Reynolds tags Runn a second after Holmes tags in Constantine and the crowd explodes. Runn springboards off the top rope and hits Constantine with a Corkscrew! Both men get up quickly and Runn charges at Constantine, ducks under a right hands and runs into the ropes. He bounces off them and catches Constantine with a headscissors. Runn picks up Constantine and hits a hard Spinebuster before going for a pin, 1... 2... Kick out by Constantine! Runn walks over to the corner and climbs up to the top rope. He stands up straight, preparing for the R&R but Holmes pushes Runn off the top rope and he crashes to the mat hard! Constantine crawls over to Runn and drapes an arm across him, 1... 2... Kick out by Runn! Constantine slowly gets up and Runn gets up seconds later. Constantine picks up Runn and hits a Backbreaker before going for another pin, 1... 2... Kick out!

Connor: Both members of Runn Reynolds Runn are in bad condition...

Cohen: It's only a matter of time before Holmes and Constantine win, CC!

Constantine tags in Holmes and he wastes no time before locking in Aristocracy Reigns on the downed Ricky Runn! Runn's face contorts in agony, his legs just out of reach of the ropes. He struggles for a few moments, but it's futile, Holmes has it locked in to perfection. Runn raises his hand to tap out on Holmes' leg but suddenly Reynolds hits Holmes with a diving headbutt! Holmes lets go and clutches his head as Reynolds tries to get Runn to his feet. Constantine gets into the ring and runs at Reynolds, but he gets launched over the top rope and hits the floor hard. Runn is up now and Reynolds pats him on the shoulder and points to Holmes, who is using the ropes to get to his feet. Runn nods and and gets onto the apron. Holmes turns around and Reynolds picks it up before Runn hits the Springboard Hart Attack. Runn goes for the pin when suddenly Scott Hammond runs down the ring and grabs Reynolds' ankle and pulls him out of the ring. He Irish Whips Reynolds into the steel steps and Runn gets up inside the ring. The referee realises what's happened and calls for the bell as Hammond looks up at Runn and smirks. He gets up on the apron and slowly gets into the ring. Hammond and Runn stare each other down. Suddenly Holmes low-blows Runn from behind and Hammond lifts him up, nailing the London's Calling.

Connor: This is ridiculous! It's 3 on 2 out here!

Cohen: Again, CC, it's called taking advantage.

Constantine rolls into the ring and looks from the downed Runn to Holmes to Hammond. Holmes and Hammond pick up Runn and Holmes tells Constantine to give Runn a few shots. Constantine lets out a sigh and hesitates for a few moments. Holmes looks at him, looking irritated and shouts at Constantine to attack him. Constantine waits for a few moments longer until finally hitting a Lariat on Runn. Suddenly, Reynolds slides into the ring with a chair in hand and nails Constantine in the head. Hammond and Holmes quickly roll out of the ring and back up to the bottom of the ramp. Reynolds looks at them with fire in his eyes and he shouts at them to get back in the ring, chair in hand. Holmes shakes his head and walks up the ramp, but Hammond doesn't move and actually starts to smirk a little. Suddenly, Mick Overlast emerges from the crowd and slides into the ring. He turns Reynolds around, kicks him in the gut and nails the Overlasting Impression! Overlast stands over Reynolds and Hammond gets into the ring. Hammond extends a hand and Overlast stares at it for several moments until a twisted smile spreads across his face and he shakes hands with Hammond. Hammond raises his arm as the crowd boo loudly. Blade walks slowly out onto the ramp, grinning from ear to ear. Overlast and Hammond turn towards the ramp and Blade starts applauding as the crowd boo defeaningly.

Connor: It's happened, Blade's plan has come to fruition!

Cohen: The plan has just begun, CC!

Hammond and Overlast have left the arena as Blade has already made it inside the ring, with the crowd still booing from before. He has a smirk on his face and waves off the motions of the crowd.

Anderson: The following contest is a Triple Threat match scheduled for one fall where the winner will qualify for the 2012 Lethal Lottery! Already in the ring, from Dublin, Ireland, weighing in at 235 pounds; BLADE!

Connor: I hope that was the last we saw of Blade's cronies.

Cohen: Blade doesn't need his cronies to win this match anyway: it'll be like taking candy from a baby!

The crowd cheers loudly as the legend walks out with a smile on the face as he soaks up the atmosphere the audience is giving him. Some members of the crowd perform a bowing motion as he walks down the ramp, stopping by a couple of fans to shake their hand or high-five them.

Anderson: And his opponent, from Los Angeles, California, weighing in at 205 pounds; EVEREST!

Cohen: Is he still here? Did they reject his pension application?

Connor: I could say the same thing about you, Jack. You're older than Everest!

Everest slides into the ring and throws his hands up then proceeds to stretch for a bit before leaning on the ropes, looking at the fans who still cheer his name to this day. He then switches his concentration to Blade who looks unimpressed as he waves and smiles at Blade. The two wait for the third man of the match to enter but it's taking a lot longer than usual. Blade begins telling the referee he should start the match without Gordito but Everest says to wait a minute. Eventually, his music hits.

It takes a moment into the song for Gordito to slowly make his way out to a cheering crowd. He waves at them instead of his usual fist pumping antics due to the attack he sustained from Holmes moments ago. He continues at a slow pace, clapping a couple of fans hands to keep them happy.

Anderson: And their opponent, from San Fransisco, CA, weighing in at 257 pounds; GORDITO!

Connor: Gordito is looking in rough shape. What was the purpose of Holmes attacking Gordito anyway?

Cohen: What else? To make a statement.

Connor: He won his match: what type of statement is he looking to make?

Gordito has a bit of trouble entering the ring and Everest comes over to help him get into the ring. Gordito thanks him and shakes his hand for his kindness as he tries to get into a defensive fighting stance. The referee double checks on Gordito to see if he can compete and he nods. He signals the bell and instantly, Blade charges at Gordito.

Blade connects with a couple of uppercuts on Gordito before Everest pulls Blade away from Gordito and hits an enzuigiri kick on Blade. He drops down to one knee as Everest goes to hit a DDT but Blade gets back to a vertical base and flips Everest over his shoulders. Blade gets up before Everest and manages to hit a clothesline that sends Everest over the top rope and down to the floor. Blade smirks at his handy work until suddenly Gordito hits a chop block from behind, again taking Blade down to one knee. He hits a few backhand chops on Blade whilst he has the leverage advantage with the last one knocking him down. Blade rolls to the outside to try and gain some distance. He checks his chest for any marks as he catches his breath walking around the ring. He posts one corner and sees Everest is already up who hits him with a short arm clothesline on the floor. The crowd cheers as Everest picks up Blade and sends him into the ring where Gordito waits for him to get up to hit a European uppercut. He hits a couple more as Everest slides into the ring, forcing Blade to get cornered. Gordito performs the cactus clothesline attack before whipping Blade into Everest who gets Blade with a Samoan drop. The crowd cheers as the two fan favorites beat down on Blade who rolls out of the ring once more before either of them can score a pin on him.

Cohen: This is not right! It's supposed to be a Triple Threat match not a handicap.

Connor: You'd be singing a different tune if Hammond was involved in a Triple Threat match with Blade.

Everest asks Gordito if he is okay who is breathing heavy already in the match and says he's a little sore but fine to wrestle. The two men then circle around each other and go for the collar-elbow tie-up. Despite Gordito's size advantage, the wounds inflicted by Holmes allows Everest to have a better chance at the battle of strength and forces Gordito to the ropes. He uses the momentum to whip Gordito across the ring. Gordito tries for a clothesline but Everest ducks and hits a German suplex. The impact hurts Gordito more than usual, giving Everest the chance for a bridged pin... 1... 2... kick-out. Everest lets go of the clutch he has and decides to help Gordito to his feet, hitting a standing neckbreaker on Gordito. Again he goes for the cover and again he gets a 2 count on Gordito. Everest quickly locks in a cloverleaf submission where Gordito does his best to get to the ropes as fast as possible. Before the referee can tell Everest to let go of the hold, Blade rips Gordito out of Everest's grip and forces him to the outside where Gordito hits the ground front first. Blade slips into the ring before Everest has the chance to defend himself and enzuigiri, paying back Everest from the previous kick. He grabs Everest and hits a belly to belly suplex on him, followed with a pin... 1... kick-out by the veteran.

Connor: Blade made as much of that situation as he possibly could and its turned in his favour.

Cohen: And he didn't break any rules I might add. What a noble competitor.

Blade has picked up Everest in a lifting side slam and hits a backbreaker on Everest. Blade isn't done and forces Everest to stand after the shot and performs a 180 spinebuster with a cover as well... 1... 2... kick-out by Everest. Blade gets a little tense at the ref for not counting as fast he thinks he should but goes back to work on Everest, who is nearly on a vertical base. Blade takes care of that problem with a DDT that transitions into a guillotine choke. The ref attempts to stop Blade from continuing the choke and he lets go on the 4 count. Blade argues with the ref that it wasn't illegal although the ref thinks otherwise. Whilst the ref is arguing with Blade, Gordito enters the fray once more and gets behind Blade, surprising him with a half nelson bulldog. He rolls him over for a cover... 1... 2... kick-out. Gordito gets up and sees Everest making it to his feet again but stops him by hitting a Russian legsweep on Everest with a pin... 1... Blade stops the count and continuously attacks Gordito with kicks. He then grabs the throat of Gordito and forces him to stand, signalling for a chokeslam but Gordito uses a double axe handle to break free and create distance, allowing a dropkick to connect with Blade. Blade gets up quickly and runs at Gordito who prepares and back body drops Blade. Everest comes up behind Gordito once recovered and goes to lock in the Mountain Climber. He gets it locked in but Blade is up quick enough to put his hand on Everest's throat and chokeslam him... but Everest did not break the hold and causes him to accidentally hit a modified fallaway reverse DDT on Gordito. Blade covers Everest... 1... 2... kick-out. He goes over to Gordito... 1... 2... kick-out with Blade looking a little frustrated.

Cohen: A dominating performance thus far from Blade.

Connor: Everest and Gordito are still in this thing though. This isn't over by a long shot.

Blade looks at the two men laid out on the floor and decides that Gordito is in worse shape. So, he picks up Everest and throws him to the outside. He then picks up Gordito and signals for the end, setting up for the Blade Runner... however, Gordito still has some fight and manages to trap Blade in his grasp and hit multiple headbutts on Blade, causing him to go a little groggy. Gordito uses this to hit a Samoan drop on Blade, knocking him to the ground. He looks around and sees the audience cheering and he decides its time to fly. Gordito slowly gets to the top and perches himself there... but before he can do anything, the crowd heavily boos as Holmes walks out on the entrance way which Gordito spots.

Connor: What the hell is he doing here? Hasn't he done enough damage?

Holmes just snickers on the ramp as Gordito stares, giving enough time for Blade to run up the turnbuckles and hit a huge powerslam from the top on Gordito. Holmes laughs as he turns back and leaves whilst Blade goes for the pin... 1... 2... Everest slides in and saves the match, breaking up the count. He picks up Blade immediately and hits the Rock Slide on Blade. He is about to go for the pin until suddenly Hammond and Overlast jump out from the crowd and over the barricades, both on opposite ends of the ring. Everest looks at them both with a smile as he knows them interfering will cost them the match. Hammond gets on the apron, distracting the referee as Overlast tries getting into the ring. Everest knocks Overlast out of it as quick as he got in and knocks Hammond off the apron. The crowd cheers as the two men retreat with Everest watching them. Everest goes over to Blade and goes for the pin but Blade rolls him up in a small package... 1... 2... kick-out in the nick of time. A surprised Everest gets up and shakes off the pin attempt. He goes over to Blade who has crawling on his knees and tries to pick him up but Everest uses his tights to toss Everest out of the ring once more. Blade goes over to Gordito as quick as he can who is just getting up, sets him up and hits the Halo. He goes for the pin... 1... 2... 3!

The referee signals for the bell and the crowd boos heavily as Blade is declared the victor. Hammond and Overlast get back into the ring and help Blade to his feet, celebrating with him on their victory.

Anderson: Here is your winner; BLADE!

Cohen: They have done it! The Sons of Destiny have made it to the Lethal Lottery!

Connor: Not without the assistance of each other I might add: Everest had this match won!

Cohen: May I remind you that neither Overlast nor Hammond touched Everest as well as Blade not even being present for their tag match. This is their night, Cat: don't take it away from them.

Connor: Either way, all three men have qualified... but one question remains: what is Holmes' problem with Gordito. We are out of time to answer that question unfortunately so its goodnight from myself and Jack Cohen from Ascension.

The crowd continues to boo as Blade, Mick Overlast and Scott Hammond hold their hands high in the center of the ring.
