[Ascending 10]
(The Ascending 10 is a number ranking system of the top ten current active wrestlers. This list was voted on by multiple members of the WZCW roster and does not directly reflect the mindset of the creative team. Cheers!)
1. Saboteur
Saboteur is currently undefeated on television: 3-0. What is so significant about that you might ask? The most recent victory he has gained is none other than a clean win over WZCW World Heavyweight Champion Ty Burna. The buzz from his performance has been enough to catapult him into conversations at the water-cooler and at the top of the Ascending 10.
2. Barbosa
Barbosa is a wicked fiend, but there is no denying his smarts in the ring. Set on a personal vendetta to avenge Hunter Kravinoff, Barbosa was able to capture one half of the King for a Day contract. He is "half-way" there to a championship, and all that stands in his way his Wasabi Toyota.
3. Steven Kurtesy
The doctor is in and he is writing perscriptions left and right. One was for a heart-wrenching win over former comrade Steven Holmes at Apocalypse and another was one over Baez and Action Saxton this past week on Ascension 36. The latter earned him a spot in the main event at Unscripted for the WZCW World Heavyweight Championship. Can Kurtesy bottle his momentum going into Unscripted and unleash victorious performance? We will have to see.
4. Wasabi Toyota
The gentle giant got tangled up in the whole King for a Day fiasco, but I am sure he is happy that he was now. He walked out of Apocalypse with the other half of the contract. He picked up the win for his team this week on Meltdown 61 by bear hugging James King into submission. Can Wasabi Toyota keep his cool and overcome the demented Barbosa?
5. Mr. Baller
Mr. Baller made himself a highly talked about superstar by calling out Steamboat Ricky on several occasions and "winning" those matches. He would finally tangle with Ricky at Apocalypse and come up short in a losing effort. That loss wouldn't harm his spirit though, as Baller overcame a triple-threat match on Meltdown 61 against The Internet Warrior and Black Dragon to earn a spot in the main event at Unscripted for the WZCW World Heavyweight Championship.
6. Big Dave
Big Dave probably wasn't in the most prepared conditions going into his Apocalypse match. Having to deal with the charges of being accused of tampering with the Hunter Kravinoff situation, Big Dave lost his King for a Day contract. Luckily, Big Dave was able to rebound back on Ascension 36 against a returning Gordito and Chris Beckford to win a spot in the main event at Unscripted for the WZCW World Heavyweight Championship.
7. Baez
One thing you need to know about Baez; he is never satisfied. Baez was able to remain victorious against the opposing Red Mask at Apocalypse, but that wouldn't be enough for him. Baez caused all kinds of ruckus on Ascension 36 by further tormenting Titus (Red Mask).
8. Austin Reynolds
Austin Reynolds main evented Apocalypse with Ty Burna in a losing effort, but that is not something to be ashamed of. Austin Reynolds bounced back like a true main eventer when he successfully beat two opponents on Meltdown 61 and then aided an endangered Ricky Runn against an opposing Stantime. Austin Reynolds now finds himself in the middle of the tag division with hopes of grabbing gold.
9. Chris K.O.
Chris K.O. did not make the card for Apocalypse, so what is all the buzz? Before Apocalypse on Ascension 35 Chris K.O. attacked the WZCW legend Everest. Making claims to dismantle the roots of WZCW, Chris K.O. followed through on his statement further by attacking Everest again on Meltdown 61 and then defeating WZCW legend Steamboat Ricky cleaning on Ascension 36.
10. Sean Cruz
Sean Cruz has been trying to find his position in the singles division after losing his partner Armando Paradyse. Sean Cruz was finally able to find that place after successfully winning a Mayhem Championship title shot after winning his triple-threat match against S.H.I.T. and Jack Skinner on Meltdown 61. Sean Cruz has the ball, but how far will he run with it?
Also receiving votes: Hollic Hicock, Scott Hammond, Black Dragon, Steven Holmes, Action Saxton, Chris Beckford, Gordito, Titus.
