Everest hangs onto the #1 spot with a win over Garth Black. The former 2 time Heavyweight champion attacked his Apocalypse opponent, USA, twice last week and looks to make a further statement when he teams with Phoenix to take on USA and Garth Black. Will USA overcome the rockslide this week, or is Everest just too much for him to take?
Vengeance moves up one spot this week by winning the tag match for his team and the right to face Titus for the WZCW Heavyweight title at Apocalypse. Will this match be the match where Vengeance proves he is ready to be a champion? To prepare for it, Vengeance will face his former foe Showtime Cougar on Ascension.
Showtime drops a spot this week after his team lost to Vengeance and Ty Burna at Meltdown 40. Showtime was not part of the final decision as he and Ty battled back and forth after the conclusion of the match. There is a lot of bad blood between these two individuals and they will look to end it at Apocalypse. This week Showtime faces of against number 1 contender Vengeance, who no doubt will look to have what his name describes this week.
Ty moves up one spot this week after his team was victorious over Titus and Showtime Cougar. Ty then sent a message to Showtime, smashing him against the steel stairs. This week Apocalypse opponents will be on opposite shows as Ty Burna faces Titus in a non title match at Meltdown 41. Which of these two will pick up momentum heading into their huge Pay-Per-View matches?
After Blade picked up a big win over Chris Beckford, he announced he would cash in his title match against the EurAsian champion, Big Dave. Unfortunately for Blade, Big Dave and the Elite-X champion Austin Reynolds attacked Blade after the announcement. Blade has a lot to think about this week as he prepares for his tag match against Big Dave and Austin Reynolds at Ascension. Worse yet for Blade, he'll have to wait till Meltdown to find out who his partner will be, Chris Beckford or Scott Hammond. Is Blade in too deep, or is Blade to one to finally topple Big Dave's reign?
Hammond has been every where this past week. After running down to save a fallen Blade and Beckford on Meltdown, Hammond took Austin Reynolds to the limit in their match at Ascension, forcing Austin to hit him with a belt and cause a DQ. Fortunately for Hammond, Beckfrod ran down and saved him from further damage. However, there will be no friendly saving this week as Hammond and Beckford will clash to see who is number 1 contender for the Elite X title, and to see who will team with Blade at Ascension.
Phoenix picked up another big win last week against USA. He also continued to torment his former partner Garth Black, announcing that they'll face at Apocalypse in a last man standing match. A big tag match is scheduled this Meltdown, Phoenix and Everest against Garth Black and USA. Which team will be the last one standing before their matches at Apocalypse?
Heavy Artillery move up one spot this week after Jordon Lights beat Mr. Baller and Max Kazari took James Baker to a draw. Victory may come sooner than later for Heavy Artillery as James Baker appeared to injure his wrist in his match. This week they'll face the new team Pride of Toyota for a shot at The Ghetto Stars and the Tag Team Titles. Will Heavy Artillery be able to regain the belts they lost, or have they simply weakened the champs for a new up and coming team?
Chris Beckford lost a hard fought match to Blade this past week. After Blade announced he would face Big Dave at Apocalypse, he was jumped by Dave and Reynold and Beckford ran down to make the save, but was hit from behind and was saved by Scott Hammond of all people. At Ascension, Beckford returned the favour, but not without some choice words. As these two both prepare for their number 1 contender match, will Beckford finally get another crack at Austin Reynolds and the Elite X title, or has Hammond wedged his way in between those dream.
USA falls far down the Ascending 10, just hanging onto to the #10 spot. After a impressive victory over Carmen Bratchney, USA seemed to struggle against Phoenix. MAybe a match with Everest was on his mind as it certainly was on Everest's as he twice attacked USA. This week USA teams with Garth Black against Everest and Phoenix. Will USA pick up a little redemption before Apocalypse, ot is Everest too strong of a force for the superpower to handle?
