Finlay vs The Great Khali​

Last month at Survivor Series, The Great Khali battled a fighting Irishman (well, maybe more accurately half a fighting Irishman) in Hornswoggle in the greatest mismatch of all time. But this month, the Punjabi Nightmare will take on someone closer to his own size and 100 times tougher in the man who’s never met a fight he didn’t love – Finlay.

The trouble between these two SmackDown Superstars started when a shillelagh-wielding Finlay surprised Mr. McMahon – and all of WWE – when he interjected himself in Hornswoggle’s match with Khali and saved the 4-foot-4 leprechaun from a 7-foot-3, 420-pound demolition. The Chairman had wanted his illegitimate son to experience some “tough love,” but Finlay kept saving his former associate from tough spots. First, it was against Khali and then in a No Disqualification Match with Carlito on Raw.

It’s not really clear how the Chairman feels about Finlay protecting Hornswoggle or why he has set up the match between him and Khali. Has he been trying to trying to destroy Hornswoggle? If so, is he teaching Finlay a lesson for meddling in his affairs? But one thing may be certain: The tough as nails Irishman may not appreciate this early “Christmas present” from the Chairman, even though he loves to fight. And even though he is a giant and relishes a chance to get his vise-like hands on Finlay, The Great Khali may not appreciate the Irishman either, especially if he has his shillelagh.

This would be more interesting if it were Finlay and Hornswaggle vs. Khali in a 2 on 1 handicap match. That way it could be at least comical. As it stands now, it will only serve as filler.

I've given up on trying to assume anything regarding the Hornswoggle/Vince McMahon storyline. All I know is, The Great Khali was built to be this unstoppable monster.. & in recent monthes, he's been made a fool of, by not only Finlay, but also Hornswoggle.

I somehow DON'T see Finlay coming out of this match with a win, unless they're pushing Khali out the door. (which isn't a bad thing) Finlay will remain a dominating force, & his face push will still continue, win or lose. But if Khali drops, cleanly (or almost cleanly due to the illegal weapon) then I can't see him retaining ANY type of "monster cred."

I do see Hornswoggle getting involved, but again, where is any of this leading? Wrestlemania - Mr. McMahon v. Hornswoggle?!

I see Horny getting involved in this match to try and help Finlay. Hoever I don't think it will work. I can see Khali beating Finlay, but see Finlay continue to help Horny through Vince's tough love. I could be wrong though. Finlay could go against Khali and loose by DQ due to a certain weapon beating the hell outta Khali

I haven't seen the progression of the feud since what happened at Survivor Series, but I've given up on Khali putting on a bearable, decent match. Finlay is one of the better wresters in the WWE, and I'm sure even he can't direct Khali into the direction of a watchable match.

Well, I think if anyone can get something halfway bearable out of khali, its Finlay. This will still probably be pretty bad, and is filler material, and I think Khali will probably go over, unless finlay gets the win thru some sort of weapon use, or with a hornswaggle run in distraction type end. Probably is gonna be pretty ugly and hopefully short.

Even though I am not a fan of Khali, I think w/ the right wrestler he could be carried to at least a watchable match. HBK did it earlier this year on Raw, and Cena at Judgment Day and One Night Stand. They did it mainly b/c the match was kept short. So if Finlay has any hope of following in their footsteps then WWE better keep it short.

As far as Khali goes, don't expect him to leave until Triple H hulks up and runs wild on him. Seriously though, if anyone was to send him packing it would be Trips.

Massive yawn fest. Khali's so incredibly boring and Hornswoggle's not funny anymore, so it'll just be 5 minutes of Khali chops and stuff until something happens with the shillelagh. Been there, done that. I'd even rather see a divas match...haha.

have to agree definatly going to be a filler. This whole match is pointless just like the storyline that the wwe is trying to create. I believe this will be the worse match of the night possible the whole year. Finley to win

This is going to be a filler match. A piss break match. Really WWE should just fire Khali because anything he says or does is boring. I will be shocked if this match will go on for ten minutes. As for the ending, I see Horny runninf to the ring to distract the ref while Finlay attacks Khali with the shillelagh. Then he pins him and gets the shocker win! Really boring match.

Poor Finlay, when will he get another good feud? Khali is watchable, simply because he is so god awful. They are really milking the Hornswoggle thing out, and it's going to lead to the inevitable match at Wrestlemania. I mean seriously, enough is enough already with this thing. Have Khali kill off the little bastard and be done with this storyline. It's not funny, never was, it's crap like this that makes wrestling a joke.

I just cant see finlay coming out victor because the kahli is so big even if he does get hit with finlay's weapon he is still going to win its just that finlay is nowhere near as tall or as strong as kahli thats why they call him the great kahli and not the small kahli finlay is just to short and weak in comparison with kahli. kahli will win this and it will be another head he will crush with that vice grip and finlay will have headache's every five minutes after the vice grip ooh I would not want to fight that giant ugly thing he would give me a migrane with one flick to my head.

I am not expecting much from this match, not even Finlay could make Khali look decent. The only thing good to come from this match is if Finlay wins, because it will help him get over with the fans, right now he is not getting a big reaction from the crowd. There is no point for Khali to win this match, he is not a part of any title picture so there is no reason to hype him up at the moment unless WWE wants to make him look like a huge favorite to win the Royal Rumble match. Hornswoggle will definitely help Finlay win this one by distracting The Great Khali or the ref so Finlay can use his shillaighli.

i agree with the last few reports this match is a waste of time unless they done some type of stipulation i think maybe finaly will win by cheating behind referees back
