Are WWE missing the chance for one of the GREATEST WM Moments?

@ PERIDOT...

Valid points..... The Hell No segments were indeed funny and He did hold his own but HE HAD HELP because it was an ODD COUPLE Tag Team but I can concede that... Dont AGREE but I can see your point....

Yeah HBK was small compared to OTHER Wrestlers but he was still 6' and 220...

DB is 5'9 and 200....

THAT IS A DIFFERENCE MY DUDE.....

U give up 20 lbs and 3 inches in a fight and see if that matters....

Rey got the title because of Eddie's Death nothing MORE.....

He didnt become the FACE OF THE COMPANY which is what U guys want.... Now if U want Bryan to win the belt at WM and then LOSE IT to a REAL WRESTLER right afterwards cool I guess but that is not what most NET NERDS want....

Oh and NO DB does not RAISE RATINGS.... He only sells to fans of the business who ALREADY watch wrestling....

NO CASUAL FAN KNOWS WHO HE IS OR CARES....

U R seling a product to people who already own it....

That is NOT good for business....

U can say what U want but the facts do not change....

DB DOES NOT SELL TO ANYONE BUT WRESTLING FANS....

I'm sorry but "botches just about every move he makes" is just ridiculous. Hell Daniel Bryan made Batista look good even Bret says Bryan reminds him of Owen in the ring. His matches aren't "CZW-fests", I haven't seen people actually willing Bryan on with every move he makes in a long time, look at his kicks, they are more over than most of the bloody roster!

I get that people don't like him, and fair play. The chants are over, whether it's by him or not. What is WWE if not savouring the incredible moments in time that it can produce? (god that sounded like cole lol)

Daniel Bryan is main event quality. He's more cheered than Cena, more over than Orton, and yes baristas back but I would take a 25 minute Bryan match over a 25 minute Batista match any day of the week.

To the point that he doesn't sell to anyone but wrestling fans. Sure, that's a good point. He's not Cena or Miz. But really can any of you honestly say if it wasn't that you were a wrestling fan you'd know who randy Orton is? I certainly wouldn't.

But they can at least try and market him as something else....

Such as Marine 2...

He looks the part...

No one outside of NET fans would buy Bryan as a BADASS so him being Champ just does NOT sell...

Even Kane in HEAR NO EVIL could work because he LOOKS like a killer...

Nothing about DB is marketable to anyone other than WRESTLING FANS and that is not Good for BUSINESS

I think he was referring to Punk when he said he botches everything, which I 100% agree.

DB is NOT main even caliber, in fact, there is only only two main event caliber full time wrestlers and those are Orton and Cena. I'm a huge fan of Punk and DB so this isnt a biased opinion it is simply the truth. The only reason DB even gets tv time is because how bad the roster is right now.

To call someone main event caliber, I believe this would still have to be true regardless of the era. Could DB main event in the ruthless aggression era? What about the AE? How about the new generation? The answer to all of these is HELL NO!!! DB is just severely overrated by the current fans just like Punk is. Look at the AE for example. Half the damn roster was better than DB. Rock, Austin, HHH, Taker, Jericho, HBK, Angle, and the entire tag division was either better in the ring, on the mic, or had more charisma than DB. DB is fine where he is at. Let him have a Jericho like career, retire, and be a hall of fame. He will never be a Rock, Cena, Hogan, or Austin...hell he won't even be a HHH, Taker, Hart, or HBk.

Yeah, I'm saying that Bryan isn't even as good as Punk, and Punk is the king of missed spots and botches in the WWE right now.

Yeah I think CM Punk stinks....

He made a career off of that one PIPEBOMB and has recycled that promo ever since...

I ACTUALLY THINK DB IS WAAYYYYYYY BETTER THAN CM JUNK!!!

Bryan is not main-eventing WrestleMania.. I said it in my last post. Bryan is NOT a larger than life athlete.. He looks like anybody can whoop his ass, in WWE, or on the street.. Look, People can chant "Yes" all they want, but is that making any money for WWE? No, it's not.. These people should buy his merchandise and prove to WWE that Bryan is a top draw.. He's not a top draw, people don't pay to see Bryan, all they do is chant "Yes".. Buy his damn merchandise if you want WWE to push him, that's where most of the money comes in, but no, you people waste your money buying Cena shirts, or Punk shirts and very little Bryan shirts are in the crowd.

Bottom line, It's going to take more than a "Yes" chant for WWE to push Bryan to the main-event.

WWE has been building to this for the past year so they aren't going to miss out on it. When Bryan beat Cena at Summerslam it received a massive pop and everyone that is even a part time wrestling fan was talking about how Bryan deserved to be champ and they hated the Orton cash in. DB was good enough to get Orton heat, that's saying a lot.

They could have easily let DB chase for a couple months then give him a short run until the rumble but instead they keep him chasing. They've done this because they realize that him winning needs to happen at Mania.

It's recycling the Austin storyline where VKM didn't want Austin in the main event so he put a bounty on his head but Austin ends up winning the rumble anyway and getting there. Daniel Bryan will win the Royal Rumble and win the title at Wrestlemania because that's what is going to create another mega-star. CM Punk going over Cena at Money in the Bank did it for him. This will do it for Daniel Bryan.

Saying that DB wouldn't be a ME star in any other era is speculation. I mean you can only judge by what's put in front of him. If they let Bryan danielson be Bryan danielson in the AE, he'd get over. Danielson used to be vicious in RoH.

Is he over? YES
Can he put on a 5 star match? YES
Does he just need that one match that cements him in the ME? YES

Fans loved mick too, he's a 3 time WWE champ and a HoFmer. He ME'd a WM too, was mick the WWE image? No. As long as you're over WWE can make money off you.

WrestleMania is big but its not like The Super Bowl, an event thousands of people buy tickets for a year before it happens, making plans before they know who is playing. Plus, people travel to the Super Bowl to see their team compete for a championship, how many people do you think travel from the home town of their favorite wrestler to watch them in WrestleMania ? Not many, if any at all.

People do travel for the event, but most of it people who live near by. You dont have large numbers of fans traveling cross country or internationally to attend. Most, in fact the overwhelming majority, in attendance will be local, within 300 or so miles of the host city. That said, New Orleans isnt a die hard WWE town, that was WCW territory going back to the NWA days. Most of the younger fans, like in other towns, will likely respond the way WWE wants. I doubt you will see as many older fans as you would see in a place like New York or New Jersey because WWE wasnt their main choice when they started watching and became interested.

I really think people who expect some sort of out there crowd response will be disappointed.

Nothing about DB is marketable to anyone other than WRESTLING FANS and that is not Good for BUSINESS

How is it not good for business for DB to only (your words) be marketable to wrestling fans when WWE is in the business of producing wrestling programming and events? That doesn't make a lick of sense. Then again, reading a few of your previous posts, not much really does, but that might have more to do with your rage-rambling than not being to properly express your ideas on an Internet forum.

Moving right along, you seem to have it in your head that WWE is making big moves outside of wrestling. Was it the huge box office successes of Blockhead, The Chaperone, or The Marine 1, 2 and 3 that led you to feel this way, or maybe it's the platinum-selling albums that don't feature music that aren't entrance themes coming from the WWE-owned record label??? Please elaborate.

Last time I looked, WWE was known primarily for producing wrestling shows. you can put as much lipstick on a pig as you want, lay down next to it at night, but you'll still wake up in the morning next to a pig. So DB being marketable to wrestling fans doesn't seem to be an obstacle to success. Call them IWC guys or smarks if you will but that's a tired argument in 2014 when just about everyone in the free world has internet access. Fans are just fans, and if the WWE doesn't keep the fans who pay money for their product, one day they might not have money to operate a film studio, record label, Total Divas, their own network or any future XFL/WBF endeavors.

So again what is the problem with DB only being marketable to wrestling fans who watch wrestling events and buy wrestling merchandise from a COMPANY KNOWN FOR WRESTLING?
