All the pressure is on Constantine. Showtime has been in these matches his entire career, and he's delivered in spades so many times that it's become almost automatic to expect him to be victorious. Even on your best day, even putting out the best RP of your life, Showtime can deliver an RP that doesn't even count in his Top Ten ever and still defeat you soundly.
That's a lot of praise for our World Champion, but he's deserved it. He's done it all literally, won it all, and he's been here before. This is another day in the park for him, and it's going to take a monstrous effort from Constantine to win.
I think this actually worked out better in Dave's favor to choose when to face Showtime. Rather then trying to rush out a World Title winning capable RP on a surprise cash in, he got to set himself up with a ton of time to plan and write out his RP. That affords Showtime the same advantage, but speaking from experience in beating Showtime in a huge match, you need all the time in the world to plan for him.
Kayfabe wise, Constantine's got The Empire in his back pocket, that is if there is anything left of them after their match earlier. This could lead to your classic: take a DQ loss to gain two quick victories in the iron man match. Showtime's got the endurance to last in this match as a former LL winner, and Constantine's drive will not let him quit.
When Dave hits his absolute peak and at his absolute best, there aren't many that can top what he can do. For the past cycle he's done nothing but hit on all cylinders, and it's exactly what he needed going into this match. I believe he can do it, he's got me thinking he can and that's the first step in my eyes. If he can see his determination through into a complete effort, he can take down Showtime. It's been done before as we've seen with Drake Callahan, Constantine has just as good of a chance to do the same.
Prediction wise though, safe money is on Showtime. I hate choosing between them as both have become great friends of mine. I'm pumped for this.
