Anyone think that The 6-Man HIAC should return next month?

Vincent Michaels

My weapon of choice? A green onion.
With all of the multi-man matches we've seen recently involving The WWE Title, does anyone think that next month should be the return of the 6-Man Hell In A Cell?

Think about it, it's only been done once and that was almost 10 years ago. I would say basically this Sunday's competitors, but replace Jericho with HHH considering what he's been saying lately about leaving if he doesn't win this Sunday.

So what do you all think?

Would you like it if The 6-Man HIAC returned next month?

I hope it will. To me they should feature two 6man hell in the cell matches. One for Smackdown one for RAW. They should rename it Armagedden: hell in the cell. Since it was original called armagedden in the cell. To be honest, there's only a couple of hell in the cell matches that actually are worth watching. The only problem with this, is that night of champions is featuring a 6 pack challenge as well. Unless you're putting new guys in the cell next month, it wouldn't work. It would basically be the same guys in the hell in the cell match that are in the 6 pack challenge. But...I'd be all for it if we had some fresh faces in there.

There's overkill and then there is this. We're already having a six-pack challenge for the belt on Sunday. We already have RAW and Smackdown matches on PPV's throughout the year that feature at least six competitors. There's no need to have a six man HIAC. There even wasn't a need the first time around. Just stick to singles matches.

The biggest reason there was only one 6 man HIAC match ever is because shortly after the first one, there was the invention of the elimination chamber, which just happens to be the same thing with a few tweaks.

Since they dedicate a pay-per-view to the elimination chamber already, there is no chance they will hold an armageddon style HIAC immediately after a 6 pack challenge and a few months before they do the elimination chamber ppv.

i do agree it would be overkill, unless:
it had a good reason to occur , such as the 6 pack challenge ending in controversy or no decision
the original six man cell was due to a high number of challengers so yes i do think it should happen as it certainly would create interes\t

that 6 man hiac match from 2000 remains my favorite gimmick match of all time; it was something that was truly special and it was something that i thought could never be topped in terms of a cage match; it has to be done right if they ever decide to do it again because the build up to the match in 2000 was outstanding and the match itself was off the charts

Now here is the only way I would enjoy a 6 man HIAC match if this scenario happened. At NOC Miz retains against Bryan and later goes on to win WWE Championship vacating the title on Raw next night. In the Intercontinental title match Dolph Ziggler gets Disqualified and drops the title. Then both the midcard titles will have been dropped resulting in a unification 6 man HIAC for the unified midcard title. Then you could put togeth a match maybe 3 raw superstars let's say Evan Bourn, Daniel Bryan, Ted Dibiasi (could be anyone from raw) and on Smackdown put Kofi, Ziggler and Christian (even Swagger or MVP or Del Rio would work) Then have whoever you want to push win the match and become the new unified champion.

I like the idea of a 6 man hell in a cell and the name also. Might I make one editing though? Perhaps instead of it being separated by brand you have 3 members of Raw and 3 members of SmackDown! in the cell. With the first person to gain a pinfall/submission winning the title for the BRAND of the person he pins. It would provide excitement because you wouldn't know if someone was going to pin their brands champion or pin the other brands champion. It would also allow for a storyline brand shift for the winning superstar (if someone from Raw beat a SmackDown! superstar they'd head to SmackDown!, and vice versa). So doing it that way could lead to a multitude of things:

1. Raw holds both titles
2. SmackDown! holds both titles
3. A Raw superstar jumps ship to SmackDown!
4. A SmackDown! superstar jumps ship to Raw
5. A SmackDown! star wins the SmackDown! title
6. A Raw superstar wins the Raw title

So many different possibilities. Could add a little excitement to an already exciting match: Hell In A Cell

WWE cannot do another 6 pack challenge at the next PPV. We already have two more PPVs coming up that feature elimination matches in Bragging Rights and Survivor Series. We had an Elimination match at SummerSlam with 7 vs 7. There have been multiple several person match ups in the last few months and the months to come. I for one am a fan of Elimination matches but not on the overkill the WWE has had them lately. They need to focus on singles matches at the next PPV. Besides... wasn't the HIAC 6 pack challenge from 2000 a precursor to the Elimination Chamber? Most of the Elimination Chamber matches have been fresh and putting together a 6 man HIAC would be reminiscent of the all important February PPV and the EC wouldn't have the effect as a PPV it usually does.

I think the idea is worth looking into. If Wade or Sheamus are going to be in a HIAC match, it would really really help them by getting the experience without actually being expected to do a whole lot. Especially Wade because I don't ever remember him doing something outside of "basic" wrestling stuff. I think the most hardcore thing he has done on TV was the table bump on Raw.

Then again, I didn't even know that HIAC was in two weeks. Boy, whoever sets up PPV dates must hate buy rates. Why are there two PPVs in October anyway? haha

a 6 man hiac is pointless. elimination chamber is designed for there classic 6 person match, where as hiac is limited to singles or tag team competition. they should have barret face a cena or orton in hiac that way they can show him the ropes no pun intended

I don't want to see another six man title match of any kind. With there being so many main event stars on Raw. I wouldn't be surprised if they do another six man or even a four way at Hell on the Cell. In my opinion they've been doing so many lately. It's definitely overkill I think they need to have a singles match for the title at least for the next few PPV.

Only way this idea would be good is if The Nexus comes down and wreaks havoc on this match leaving either a no decision or Wade Barrett winning because of it. Then the RAW GM could say to keep all outside interferance at bay, they'd have a rematch in 2 weeks at Hell In A Cell, this time in the Cell. But if I remember correctly, this is a 6 Man Elimination Match at NOC so it'll be tough to make it happen right.

First off, with SD!'s HIAC, I want...make that NEED, to see Taker vs. Kane inside the cell. That match would be epic.

On a second note, the Raw HIAC, I like the idea of the Armageddon HIAC idea, however, instead of having 6 men compete from raw, make it a triple threat or fatal four-way hell in a cell. You could have whoever wins at NOC (Jericho IMO), vs. Orton vs. Cena vs. (possibly Barrett) Edge is kinda losing his luster the past month or so, so start up an Edge/someone feud to have their own match.

I understand the title rematch clause, however, so have Shameaus come out and challenge Jericho the following night on Raw to get that out of the way. Then you can have Shameaus/Edge feud or whatever will keep those 2 guys in the main scene, without actually including them in the match..

just my opinion

I don't want there to be a 6 Man HIAC Match unless at NOC the 6 Pack Challenge ends with no clear winner. On SD I want it to be Taker Vs Kane and on Raw I want it to be Chris Jericho Vs Randy Orton. Anyway it wouldn't be the same now that there's a PG restriction, no HIAC matches are the same anymore.

Oh fuck no!, the 6 Man HIAC match was one of the worst ideas for a match WWE ever had, it was just a massive clusterfuck of a mess, their was way to much going in a match like that, it makes in nearly impossible to follow all the action happening in the match, so many spots were missed by cameras, plus the undercard of the PPV suffered severally with the ME being so crowded, and with NOC's having a 6 pack elimination challenge there would be no point to having a 6 man HIA match the following month, having 2 would be even more ridiculous, looking at the SD! roster right now, they really don't have enough legit ME talent to fill a 6 man HIAC match, you got Taker, Kane, Show, & Punk, that's about it, plus in their 13 yr. history Taker and Kane have never faced off against each other one on one in a HIAC match, it would be a fitting end to their feud seeing as how Kane first debuted by breaking into the HIAC and taking out Taker Oct. 3rd '97, This match would take place just 2 days after the 13th anniversary of Kane's debut, so that match NEEDS to one on one

For me, I do not think we should see another 6 man HIAC match...The one we saw back in 2000 was the closest IMO that the WWE came to topping the classic Undertaker/Mankind King of the Ring HIAC match, but even that is a stretch. Also, like everyone else has said, it would just be overkill...I do not see a reason why they should have another one.

Nope...The 2000 HiaC match was great IMO...What makes you think WWE can come near that match?? With the current bans and PG...no head shots, no blood, and from what we have seen in the Hell in a Cell matches since 2002,they don't climb the structure..not to mention the structure itself has changed a little...

Some above mentioned, the reason it was the only one was because Elimination Chamber was invented...And with recent multi-man matches we've seen in the WWE, half the men spend most the match lying around in the corner of the ring..whereas in 2000 HiaC, everyman was busy throughout the match!!

It would be boring IMO...there is no need for another 6-man HiaC match...but thats just my opinion..

Ooo I would love to see this happen lol, but i can't imagine they would do it for a couple of reasons. The first being that they have had a few 4-man,6-man and 8-man matches this year I for one wouldn't want to see more lol. The second being I seriously cannot imagine a 6-man PG HIAC match...

Michael Cole: "And Cena sets up the AA for Elmo!!!!!"

*yeh thats another side-comment-PG-bash-thingy-bob, Mr "I-have-an-eeemmmmail" keeps saying AA... wtf!?!?! That's even worse than calling it Attitude Adjustment...damned PG era...*

I remember making a thread on this on WWE Universe last year and not only did I say that if they were gonna have 3 that year they should switch up, but have a Tag HIAC like they had, a 6 Man HIAC and bring back Kennel from Hell (with the steel cage inside the cell surrounded by dogs, look it up on youtube)

That would atleast not have had it be too similar and wouldve saved last year's HIAC event by having each be unique

Now this year they need both to be 1 on 1 just because Taker/Kane obviously should be- Kennel from Hell would work here too since it'd add to the match with the whole hounds of hell thing and it wouldnt be a tech wrestling match so why not add to the brutality with dogs & a steel cage and cell all in one? This would be way cooler

And I see Sheamus walking out if Edge doesnt, Orton being built doesnt mean he'll win, a heel will win. Anyway Sheamus/HHH makes more sense for HIAC so that can stand alone in a regular HIAC while Taker/Kane is a Kennel from Hell Match

Damnit if you have various variations to a match, USE THEM in a PPV that has multiple matches occur so instead of seeing two standard HIAC bouts we can have variety, WWE is suppose to be a variety show after all
