Fromthesouth, I agree with you on most things. But I fail to see why you think that adopting a child from another country is a horrible thing. Yes, there are those that needs homes here. But there are also many, many more people willing to adopt here than poorer countries.

What it all boils down to for me is:

A child is being given a new life. They are getting a family that cares for them. I don't care if they are American kids, Iraqi kids, Chinese kids, Brazilian kids, or Indian kids, they all deserve a home and people to care for them.

FTS, not all celebs are adopting kids from other countries, though it gets more attention. For example, Sheryl Crow (who, by the way, I find totally hotter than Angelina) adopted her son Wyatt, from the States. Sadly though, it was only covered by the media for a day, but everytime Brangelina decide to adopt another kid from, say, Africa or Central Asia, it's front page for almost 3 months. It's not bad that they do, but they should probably try adopting from the States, to send the message that American kids are just as important.
