Getting Noticed By Management
Some of you may have already seen the starters, for those who have not, here ya go...

East: D-Wade, LeBron, Dwight Howard, D-Rose, Amare

West: Kobe, CP3, KD35, Melo, and someone tba (Yao Ming is injured)

Today, they released the reserves....

East: The Boston 4, Al Horford, Joe Johnson

West: Timmy D, Russell Westbrook, Dirk, Deron Williams Blake Griffin, and Pau Gasol.

Anything you guys have a problem with? I personally think Kevin Love should be in over Tim Duncan, but it's no biggie, I see why they would put an aging all time great over a rising player. And who do you think will fill the remaining starting spot? I honestly can't think of who it would be, possibly Bynum or Nene.

Kevin Love will get Yao Ming's spot. No huge snubs in the East, except maybe Boozer. In the West it is hard to argue against anyone that made it, but besides Love i think Montae Ellis, Kevin Martin, and Zach Randolph could all just as easily made the team if they weren't on losing teams.

Boozer probably gets the snub because he missed like 20 odd games or so. I would also rate Eric Gordon for getting a spot over Kevin Martin, his stats a tad better than Martin's. Randolph is a good choice as well getting snubbed. If the Griz would've started this surge a little earlier I'm sure he could've been put on.

Love definitely deserves Yao's spot multiple 20/20 games this season, plus the 30/20 game. I would even start Blake Griffin, and give Love the reserve.

Another snub for the West I would say Lamar Odom, dude was playing All-Star basketball before Bynum came back. An East snub I would say could go to Raymond Felton. Boston doesn't need 4 of their 5 starters on the team. Felton is a big reason besides Amare for the Knicks turn a round.

Pau Gasol will most likely be named the starting C for the West, so they'll get a forward to take Yao's spot instead of Bynum or Nene (i think that'll go to Kevin Love also)

Besides Love, snubs in the West include Odom, West, Ellis, Gay, & Randolph but also lets not forget about LaMarcus Aldridge (has become the leader in POR after Roy went down & are currently the 8th seed in the West) & Steve Nash (kinda not surprised that he got snubbed because of PHOs record, but one can make an argument for him cause he is 2nd in the league in ASTs & it's not his fault that Amar'e left lol)

However, i think either Odom or Randolph will eventually get in because I doubt Dirk will play in the game, choosing to rest his injured knee instead

In the East, there weren't that many snubs but if I had to make an argument for someone I would pick Carlos Boozer (Boozer missed about the first 20 gms of the season so i can understand why he's not in, but then again the same thing happened to Gasol last yr & yet he still made it, and Boozer is averaging almost 20 ppg & 10 rpg)

I'm going to say the snub of K-Love isn't very big, he will be making it the next 12 years anyways. but Yao has no business being anywhere near the all star team. Bynum is extremely overrated and as far as Boozer not making it, he missed more games than he played ffs. He has alot of talent, but he's injury prone. I'd like to see Raymond Felton from the East go in and I'd LOVE to see Kevin Martin from the Rockets, also Luis Scola, they are extremely good, but on a shitty team.

You forgot a couple reserves in your opening post. Chris Bosh is on the East team and Manu Ginobili is in the West team. As far as the replacement for Yao goes it is a three man race. Lamarcus Aldridge, Zach Randolph, and Kevin Love are the only three with a shot to get the spot. Because David Stern is the one picking the replacement, I say that Kevin Love will get in. Unlike the coaches I don't think overall record will play much of a factor for Stern.

In the East I'm not completely sold on is Bosh. I think Carlos Boozer and Andrew Bogut both have a case. Boozer has definitely been the best of the 3 but he has only played 30 games instead of the 39 and 45 Bogut and Bosh have played. Bogut doesn't have the point per game average Bosh has but he has averaged about 3.5 more rebounds and 2 more blocks per game then Bosh. I would have given Bogut the final spot.

I also believe Raymond Felton should have gotten in. I think the East should have gone with three point guards instead of three shooting guards and I'd put Felton in over Ray Allen.
