All Pro Wrestling World Heavyweight Champions

Mid-Card Championship Winner
I've been keeping a list of every single professional wrestling world heavyweight champions HERE. As of today, I have 27 World Heavyweight Championships, 304 different world champions and 869 total world title reigns listed.

I have yet to add some world titles like the National Wrestling Association's World Championship, the WCWA World Championship or, most importantly, the original World Heavyweight Championship held by George Hackenschmidt.

So do you guys like the list? Which titles do you think should be included? Do you think any of the ones listed should be excluded? Comment below and let me know!

The CMLL World Heavyweight Championship should not count. It's not the company's main title, it's just a title for the heavyweights. The Universal Championship, on the other hand should.

"The Universal Champion" is a title awarded to a tournament winner. It's akin to King of the Ring, except instead of winning a crown, they win an actual belt. The belt is never defended though and is just awarded to the annual tournament winner. It doesn't sound like something that deserves to be on the list.

Only current reigning champions are allowed to enter so in a sense, the winner is an undisputed World Champion.

I'm a little bias, but I would reccomend adding the Pro Wrestling Guerilla world title.

I know its a slippery slope including too many indies, but PWG has always been an all-star indy with a loaded roster. From a talent perspective it is on the same playing field with ROH and early TNA whose championships you have included.

It has arguably the most noteworthy list of world championship names of any indy fed(comparable to ROH), the company has existed for nearly ten years(only about a year less than ROH and TNA), and the title is a true "world" title having had multiple defenses made outside of North America.

PWG doesn't run TV, instead opting for multiple DVD "supershows" per year showcasing the best talent in the country not in TNA or WWE. It could easily be classified as the ROH of the west coast.

If you are going to include shortlived titles like the CWA title,aAs well as every incarnation of the WWA title, plus a relatively new title like the Zero1 world championship, then I think that the PWG championship with its history clearly deserves to be on your list.

My hesitation for adding a title like CZW's is that none of their champions "break out" and go on to win world titles in other companies. I know that's a shallow way to judge titles, but it just takes away credibility when none of your guys make it anywhere else. (That might change though now that Dean Ambrose is in WWE...)

On the other hand, I really hadn't given the PWG Championship much thought. After looking at its history, it shares a bunch of champions with NWA (Adam Pearce, AJ Styles) ROH (Bryan Danielson, Low Ki, Kevin Steen, AJ Styles) and WWE (Bryan Danielson). Thank you for bringing it up, I will probably be adding it to the list, especially considering that plenty PWG alumni are working in TNA and WWE now.

Thanks, I'll add it shortly.
