Alice in Wonderland....

Because Tim Burton is the fucking man. He's a dude, and he has Helena Bonham Carter.

I love Tim Burton but I'm probably not going to see Alice in Wonderland until it comes out on DVD.

I want to rewatch Corpse Bride.

Is that good or bad? I've never been a big Burton fan and I think Depp is slightly over rated, but I've heard this movie is really awful. It would seem people are getting over Burton and it's about time, he's been overdoing it for a long time. Ed Wood is awesome though.

I don't know how to describe my feelings on it. It seemed rushed, but it was good.

What the fuck, Armbar. Burton brought us Batman and Batman Returns. I mean, come on.

There's exceptions of course. Obviously I love both movies and I love Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands was cool. He's not remembered for the Batman movies though as much as he is for Nightmare Before Christmas and others. I'm not saying he's bad, it just seems like he only has one niche and won't ever venture out of it. As odd and trippy as his movies are, they're all still in the same vein.

I would never speak badly of Batman or Batman Returns. Huge parts of my childhood.

Oh, alright. I only felt a strong need to defend the Batman movies. You can shit on Sweeney Todd all you want.

Coraline was an amazing film.

After seeing Alice in Wonderland, I noticed quite a few parallels, and am wondering if Coraline was intended to be based on or a new interpretation of Alice.

Sweeney Todd was nothing but a two hour long wet queef. Seriously, my lady dragged me to go see it and since she watches shit that she doesn't want to, I had to return the favor. Even she hated that shit. It's hard to explain but it seems like all of Burton's movies want to fuck each other. Like they all hang out together and borrow each others clothes and shit.

:lmao: :lmao:

From my understanding of the reviews and reaction, Alice in Wonderland is getting the same reaction as when Burton did Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Yes it's the only film version that have come close to the original books, but you can't outdo the genius that is Gene Wilder, even with Johnny Depp.

I liked Sweeney Todd.

And his version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was amazing. I liked that it actually followed the book in both content and tone.

I enjoyed Sweeney Todd quite a bit myself, but Ed Wood is by far Tim Burton's best film and one I consider truly a masterpiece in the history of cinema.

However, those two films are the only two from him I dig anymore. I liked Edward Scissorhands when I was a kid, but it doesn't hold up today. I also liked Batman 1 & 2 and Beetlejuice, but like with Scissorhands, they don't hold up for me today either. Everything else he did I didn't enjoy at all, and Alice in Wonderland looks ******ed, so I doubt if I'll check it out anytime soon.
