Call me crazy but I think this segment was one of the best parts of the show if not the best part of the show.
1) Because I genuinely laughed out loud because as Sin Cara walked down the ramp I immediately thought to myself, "How long before his first botch." This is a guy who would botch his own entrance so often that he had to do a new one. Then to see him botch 2 moves in was funny to me. Then his second most notable criticism is that he is always injured. The guy gets injured and calls the match off less than 2 minutes after making his return. Yeah, I know it's a man getting hurt and shouldn't be funny. It's just almost Ironic.
2) It really got me curious. When I came to Wrestlezone news I was only curious about one thing and one thing only. That was whether or not the injury was legit or his calling for the ref was a work. I was almost certain that it was legit because of the referee putting up the "X" as well as the fact that the referee was legitimately pissed at ADR and they even had to censor out some profanity. It really gave me that anything can happen feel.
3) Because of the way it really put Del Rio over as a serious heel IMO. The fact that Del Rio sees the man get injured and then tosses him back in the ring and stomps on him and then paces around with this scowl and blackened eyes. He looked menacing and I have never seen someone attack a legit injured person just because he was pissed that he got injured and called for the ref. That's a vicious move and he looked vicious as hell last night. This just weeks after his brutal attack on his on announcer/sidekick. It showed that he can bring the rutheless aggression to the ring both Kayfabe and in reality. To me it showed that he was hungry, because he risked getting into a lot of trouble just to stay in character, because his character wouldn't just walk off. All though I can imagine he enjoyed it, since I've read that he has real life dislike for Sin Cara. It reminded me of the time he pulled his mask half way off and smiled.
How did you guys feel about it? Am I just crazy?
On a side note about ADR's black eyes. There are conflicting reports on whether him and Drew Mcyntire got jumped at a pub or fought each other back stage. Does anyone know which is true? Has one been confirmed? I know WWE would probably release the former of the two reports. I tend to lean towards the latter being true because of the fact that DM seemed to be taking a shot at Del Rio, since many fans know they were in this altercation and during his 3MB entrance he tried to draw the attention to his face by pointing to it and making the whole "hand-frame" gesture. Also the picture he posted while he was out eating.
