There's a code for Pokemon Heart Gold Soul Silver where you can apparently battle the Pokemon you want. Not exactly sure what it does yet but I'm testing it as we speak. Will edit later.

Ive caught several in mine. And if you want shiny legendaries simply save before you run into them and turn it on and off until theyre shiny.

Ive also caught several wild shinys. You just wander around the areas and run into Pokemon until you encounter one.

I think cheating is fun, I used to when Red and Blue came out, but I find it more rewarding to do everything on my own now.

Ive caught many shiny Pokemon on my emulator. However, without cheating, I caught a shiny Sneasel in Pokemon Silver.
