A Match I Hope Is On Raw This Week

YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!!!!
I'm hoping that WWE will do a match in which Ziggler takes on Alberto Del Rio as a means of ultimately evening things up. On Raw last week, Swagger went over Ziggler. Last Friday on SD!, Del Rio went over Swagger in a killer match. So for tomorrow night, I'm hoping that WWE will put Ziggler in a match with Del Rio with Ziggler going over.

This will pretty much even things out in terms of this feud, in my opinion. This way, neither wrestler seems to have any more momentum heading toward Extreme Rules than the other. It's a three person equation of "I just beat the guy who just beat you" with each wrestler having gotten a big win and suffered a defeat. If the match goes down, I just hope there isn't too much interference that makes Ziggler look weak.

Ziggler will probably be crazy over in front of the London crowd so, if he does wrestle, not having him go over will no doubt be met with vehement scorn from the fans.

I thought something similar that's why I thought it was odd everyone calling Swagger a jobber because he lost to Del Rio on Smackdown after beating the World Heavyweight Champion on Raw. While I assume Swagger will be the one who is pinned at Extreme Rules I don't any of them have looked particularly stronger than the other so I think Ziggler over Del Rio on Raw will make perfect sense.

Jack, what you said makes a lot of sense. So it probably won't happen... I'm not kidding. If it does, I have a hard time believing AJ and/or Big E don't get involved. But, like I said, it does make a lot of sense. It would be nice for them to go into the PPV with no one looking better than the others. Granted, Ziggler just won the WHC by cashing in MITB, so is he really supposed to look strong yet? That was a rhetorical question.

I personally think it should be the N1C face the opposite title holder. so since ADR is apparently on a house show (source vikesfan. i didnt want to look anything up) do this
Jack Swagger vs John Cena (Cena goes over or Ryback attacks Cena)
Ziggler vs Ryback (Ziggler needs a win any means necessary)
R-Truth? vs Kingston (Either one is fine)
Cesaro vs Barrett (great match ending with Barrett winning)

Thats four matches and half the show. Good outcomes and if the WWE did it right it could boost their champions, and they are in desperate need of legitimacy in their titles right now. I believe Ziggler and Barrett are both in desperate need of a win. ziggler more than barrett since he has no win on raw since winning his title.
Then the obvious 6 Man Tag match. I'm hoping the shield goes over but i doubt it.

Ziggler vs Daniel Bryan would be the match I hope for but it will be Del Rio vs Ziggler with Swagger inferring. Sorry to post a spoiler :lmao:

I'd like to see this take place as well, but I don't see it happening.

WWE has this track record of making the heel champion look weak and vulnerable heading into PPV defenses in which they'll likely win, an the triple threat , make no mistake, is to get Ziggler to retain. He gets the victory when the face has the heel down, knocking the face from the ring, and picking the bones. It's the CM Punk treatment to a lesser caliber Superstar.

As for the match tonight, WWE probably believes, erroneously, that they have given Ziggler that victory. Swagger pinned Ziggler to get into the match, Del Rio beat Swagger, but Ziggler beat Del Rio to win the title! After all, Ziggler didn't ust pick the bones ala Edge, he had to win a good two minute match in which Del Rio got offense in. In WWE's eyes, most likely, the score is pretty much even, creating true doubt and putting Ziggler's first title reign in jeopardy.

Unless WWE is incredibly high on the Swagger character, wants to put the strap back on Del Rio, or just wanted the cash-in over and done with, why make Ziggler look strong? Isn't it much better when his title reign looks in jeopardy, over two wrestler theoretically superior to him?

I love the idea. It sets up three equal competitors headed into the triple threat, which for once could lend credence to the overused and false theory WWE puts out that the champion has only a "33% chance of retaining." That statement is as true as "John Cena only has a 50% chance of beating Darren Young."

If they do the correct thing, and make the champion, one who lost more then anyone on TV or PPV last year, look strong, I'll be incredibly pleased. I'll also be rushed to the hospital by my wife after passing out from shock. In theory, great idea. But WWE has built up Del Rio incredibly strong as a babyface in matches he's fresh in, and I don't see him losing clean to Dolph Ziggler two weeks after losing the title to him.

At least he's not in danger of being given the Edge treatment circa 2006, when he cashed in, only to lose the title 3 weeks later to Cena at the Rumble one-on-one. So at least there's that.
